Chapter 7- Unedited 

I woke up with a painful headache, my head was throbbing. I rubbed forehead and gulped when I looked around me. I closed my eyes hoping that maybe the headache was messing with me, opening my eyes again, I realized that I was still in the same place!

Well this is strange because the last thing I remember was sitting with Jane and Lisa, how the hell did I get here? Taking in my surroundings I realized that I was in a clearing that seemed to be on top of a mountain because I could see the edge from where I was. 

How did I even get here? Looking to western side, I saw the edge of the mountain and on the eastern side I saw the forest which was good because it meant I could just walk back home, I'm pretty sure the mansion is  somewhere behind those large trees, I stood up my head refusing the action but I stood up anyway and started walking to the eastern side of the mountain.

I've been walking for what felt like forever humming any melody that came into my head. My feet were sore, I was worn out and sweating. I had underestimated the distance to the forest, it was much further than I realized. I tried mind linking Ethan but he never replied, he was blocking his thoughts from me I should seriously get him to teach me how to do that.

My thoughts were cut off by a strong smell I've never smelt before, it was a wolf smell there were two of them. The other one smelled like fresh sea water while the other smelled like fresh green grass. I looked back but saw no one when I looked forward again I saw two wolves coming my way stopping me dead in my tracks, this is not good I wasn't trained to fight in my wolf form so I don't know how I'm gonna take these two out. 

They both stopped a few feet from me, it was a male and female wolf the male was huge with brown fur and brown beautiful eyes, looking at him I couldn't help thinking about  Ethan, something about this wolf  reminded me of my brother. The female had grey fur with grey piercing eyes and her wolf was beautiful.

I jumped when I heard the voice in my head turning around and looking if anyone was there but I saw no one, looking back wolves in front of me it couldn't be them talking to me right? The only people who talked to me via mind link was Ethan and James since they were family so it definitely couldn't be these two.

Hello Eleanor

a male voice sounded in my head and that's when it hit me, these wolves were the ones talking to me, how is that even possible?

We are your parents pause biological parents

"Bullshit you cant be them, my biological parents are dead" I yelled at them

Well yeah technically we are dead,  The male voice answered. 

Maybe I was dreaming, that would explain why I was talking with people who claim to be my dead parents. I slapped myself a couple of times and willed myself to wake up but nothing changed, instead I was hurting myself.

"Eww eww don't shift in front of me" I shrieked, turning my back on them when I realized they were turning back to their human forms. The last thing I need was seeing two naked people in front of me imagine how awkward that would be. I heard a chuckled from the man.

"Come on sweetie you can look, we are decent" the woman said. I slowly turned around and sighed when I realized that they really are decent.

"You don't know how lovely it is to finally see you, I'm Mark and this is my mate Sophia and yes we are your parents, your real parents" Mark tells me.

"Oh yeah the ones that abandoned me," I replied sarcastically

"We were trying to protect you" Sophia talks this time I flinch as I see the look on her face it holds so much love.

I take my time and look at them. Sophia was beautiful with her natural tanned flawless  skin, long brown hair which was highlighted with two white strands on the sides and beautiful grey eyes. Mark on the other hand was also handsome with short pitch black hair, brown eyes and a muscular body. I could see the resemblance it was hard to deny. I took my eyes off them and focused them on the ground.

"What exactly were you protecting me from? Why send me away? You came back for Ethan why didn't you come back for me?" By this time tears were running down my face, Sophia tried putting her hand on me but I shrugged it off.

"Eleanor please listen to us, we did this for your sake," Sophia tried to explain, I just shook my heard at them while sobbing.

"Its always been you they wanted, they've hunted you since the day your mother gave birth to you. Ethan was in no danger but you were always the target, its always have been you. That's why we never came back for you" Mark said while comforting Sophia who was now crying. Who are they? and why me? I wiped the tears off my face and looked at the people who claimed to be my parents I was about to say something but I got cut off by another voice

"Mark I never thought you would be kind enough to deliver her to me yourself," before I could turn and look at the source of the voice a male appeared beside my parents they had stiffen at the presence of this guy. 

You could tell he was a vampire by the pale skin, red iris and the way he smelled, he smelled blood. He looked like he was in his mid forties  just like Sophia and Mark but he was probably centuries older.

"Zach I would say its nice to see you again but I would be lying," Sophia spoke through clenched teeth

"Ah my beautiful Sophia sassy as always" Zach replied and laughed an evil laugh. He stopped laughing and turned to me and stare down at me

"You do know I could kill her right here in  her sleep and she will never wake up" Zach spoke while he faced my parents. What does he mean by killing me in my sleep? 

"You stay away from my daughter," Mark growled at him, he just smirked and with the fastest speed he lunged for my neck and held it tight. Mark grabbed him by the shirt and crushed him down to the ground, throwing me to the ground in the process. 

Eleanor listen to me, get out of here now

I ended my mind conversation with Sophia and looked at the two man who were battling on the ground both of them were strong, I wanted to shift into my wolf form and help but I couldn't which pissed me off.

Now  Eleanor, it was nice seeing you

I looked at Sophia who offered me a small smile and I returned it. I scrambled to get up and started running to the edge as fast as I could, I'm sure they can handle it its two against one after all. As I was nearing the edge I heard the most piercing howl and stopped to look back to the fighting trio, they were far from me but thanks to my sharp vision I was able to see them like they were in front of me. Mark was down and looked injured while Sophia leaned down on him, Zach was nowhere to be seen.

"Hello beautiful," my breath hitched as I felt his presence from behind me, Sophia looked at me and shifted into her wolf form before she came running to us. Zach turned me around and looked me straight in the eye.

"I'd kill you now but I have to save you for my son he needs you more than I do" he told me with a smirk plastered his face, it made me sick.

"I'll kill him first" I spat. He just laughed at me and looked behind me, he grabbed my neck, I tried to get off his grip but I couldn't.

"Time to go, mommy dearest is here" he said. Before I could say anything he realized my neck, picked me up and jumped off the mountain with me while Sophia let out a howl of agony.

I shot straight up from bed and realized it had all happened in my dream. I was in my room and Lisa, Paul and Jane were also in my room. Why are they all here? Paul quickly came to my side and cupped my cheeks.

"I'm glad you okay you had me worried, the past few days have been hell for me" he said as he placed a kiss on my head.

"I've been sleeping for days?" I asked clearly surprised that I have slept that long, before Paul could answer the door opened revealing Ethan ,James and my uncle. James quickly rushed to my side and held my hands

"Are you okay?" He asked concerned

"I'm fine what happened?"

"You don't remember?" Ethan asked and I shook my head

"Well," he trailed off. The room was awfully silent, what was wrong with them?

"There was fire and you used your water element" Jane replied

"Water element?" I asked just for confirmation

"Yes, your water element," Ethan replied slowly

"Well isn't that great?" I was wondering why they looked like I just killed someone.

When everyone remained silent, I turned to James, "What's going on?"

"Well the thing is," Ethan trailed of and looked at James who gave him a slight nod.

"The thing is twins can't have the same element" he said uncomfortably

"Why?" I asked. James squeezed my hand a little

"One of you has to die"
