I was being watched, I knew it, I felt it and I smelled him. taking a deep breath I inhaled his spicy scent that bothered my insights, it still bothered me how he made me feel, I couldn't really understand how he made me feel all these things.

"Are you just going to stand there and pretend you cant feel me behind you?" he asked breaking the silence that consumed us.

I wanted to answer him but I couldn't bring myself to even open my mouth. I heard him chuckle lightly as he moved closer to me, I could feel him getting closer to me and all I wanted to do was to run away. When he reached me he put his hands on my shoulder and calmness overwhelmed my body, there were faint electric sparks emitting from his touch and they still caused me to shiver with delight. I took a long breath when his hands started rubbing up and down my arms, heating my body up. In my mind I knew what I was doing was wrong but I couldn't stop the mourn that escaped my mouth when he hugged me from the back pulling me closer to his chest.

"I don't understand" I whispered more to myself but he heard me.

"I also don't understand" he whispered in my ear kissing me softly on the ear.

As much as my body was enjoying this, I had to stop it. I moved out of his embrace and stood a foot away from him. I watched him cautiously as he ran his hand through his blond hair and looked at me.

"How did you even know I was here?" I asked him

"I followed your scent" he shrugged "What are you even doing in the woods alone"

"I just needed to think" I told him

"About what?"

"A lot of things, like how we are going to work things out with my mate if ever I am to leave this place" I said

"Right, the alpha" he said bitterly

"Yes him" we lapsed into another moment of silence.

"Don't you have a mate?" I blurted out

"I think I have" he said studying me carefully.

I swallowed, why was he looking at me like I am his mate and why did he have to say that looking at me like that. the most important question was if he has found his so called mate why did he just get intimate with me a while ago.

"That's good" I said nodding my head "I need to go back" I said side stepping him and heading towards the mansion. It was early in the morning and I didn't want Ethan to worry much about me when he didn't find me in the my room.

He made a move to grab my hand but I moved my hand just before he was about to touch me.

"You don't have to do this, we can live together and not come back" he said pleading with me.

"I have a mate Kyle and I'm not just going to live him and run away with you" I told him refusing to meet his eyes

he sighed "I'll let this go for now, but don't you ever think for a second that this is the last of it" he vowed. I just walked away going straight to my room, not even feeling Paul's presence in the house.

There was a knock on my door a few hours after my encounter with Kyle, I have been locked up inside my room since then, refusing to go downstairs where I knew for sure I'll find them. The knock sounded again pulling me out of my thoughts.

With a long sigh I set up on my bed "Come in"

Paul poked his head inside my room and I smiled at him, forgetting all about Kyle.

"Hey" he greeted with a smile coming to in to sit next to me on my bed.

"Hey yourself" I greeted with a smile of my own.

When he set next to me, his lips were on mine consuming me in a passionate kiss. I returned the kiss with the same passion pushing him to my bed so that I was on top of him. This was my mate, this is where I belonged and Kyle was just confusing me and playing games that I didn't like because this really felt nice.

I felt his erection on my abdomen when he moved and pressed me tightly on top of him. He then grabbed the hem of my sweater pulling it off me and living me with only a bra. I moaned when his hands cupped my breast pinching my nipples which were much more visible underneath my bra.

The door flew open, like really flew out of its hinges smashing near my window, causing both Paul and I to jump away from each other. Looking at the intruder, I found Lisa looking very angry standing on my door,her chest falling and rising from rapid breathes she was taking.

"Lisa what the hell?" I exclaimed glaring at her, she didn't seemed to be really bothered by my shouting. From what I could see she was trying very hard to calm herself down. What I didn't understand was, why did she look like she was just about ready to murder me.

"Lisa calm down and back away" Paul spoke beside me. Ethan and the others came into view wanting to see what the cause of the noise was. Kyle looked at me over and his eyes met mine. I gasped in horror, his eyes were no longer that beautiful shade of blue, no, they were completely dark. His face turned red and he stormed out.

"Lisa whats wrong?" Ethan asked putting his hands on her shoulder, that seemed to calm her a bit and bring her to her senses when the beast inside of her calmed down.

"I...I hear- I heard you guys were living so I got angry and wanted to blame her instead. I just lost it" she said her voice cracking at the end. Ethan pulled her into a hug and rubbed her back comforting her.

"Your living?" Paul asked beside me.

"No, not really" I said to him

"My lady if we don't go immediately, I'm afraid we wont have time for the ceremony" Brian said making his presence known.

"Who's this and what is he talking about?" Paul demanded.

"Brian, from the dragon city" Ethan explained faster than necessary "and yes Eleanor has to go before the next elemental cycle but not yet" he said the last part glaring at Brian who just shrugged his shoulders.

"You should probably put a shirt on sis" that's when I remembered that I was in my bra. I grabbed the sweater that was nearby and put it on quickly. Lisa had calmed down and looked at me wiping her eyes.

"I'm sorry about the door" she said trying to sound sincere but I heard the faint bitterness in her voice but being a nice person that I am, I accepted her apology. one thing I learned was that Lisa was very scary wolf when she was angry.

After everyone left my room, the spark that was there between Paul and I vanished. I didn't feel like picking up were we left off and by the distance between the two of us it seemed like Paul had no desires to do it too.

"I'm just going to talk to Lisa, what she did was totally unacceptable" he said getting up and kissing my cheek lightly before he went out. I sighed and walked out as well determined to see if Kyle has calmed down, he looked just as ticked off as Lisa had been.

"Hey where're you going?" Mike said as I got to the kitchen. I haven't seen him in a long time, I was surprised he was there.

"Hey haven't seen you in a long time" I said to him with a smile. He was still the same 'dark' Mike nothing had changed apart from his now blue hair. Weird.

"oh you know, I've been around" he said shrugging his shoulders "So where are you going?" he asked again. I narrowed my eyes at him, whats up with him. All of a sudden he was interested in where I was going. Double weird.

"I'm just going for a run" I said grabbing an apple from a the fruit bowl in the middle of the kitchen island. He nodded his head and focused on his phone.

I left the house and went my usual way picking up Kyle's scent as I got deep inside the forest. When I got to the clearing, I found him standing there and looking far away, I slowly walked up behind him. I knew he can feel me behind him but he didn't even turn to acknowledge me. I cleared my throat beginning to talk when he cut me off with his hand.

"Shh" he whispered

"Just hear me out oka-" I was cut off by him putting his hand on my mouth his eyes scanning the forest. Before I can even try to move his hand, I smelled it. No, I smelled them. Around the forest vampires started emerging, there was about twenty of them and they had us surrounded, forming a cycle around Kyle and I. Kyle removed his hands from my mouth and stood in front of me protectively.

"Your royal highness, the pleasure to finally meet you" The vampire who looked like the leader of the coven said to me as he stepped up to me.

"What do you want?" Kyle asked glaring at the leader.

"Ah the fire lord, greetings to you" he said in a fake British scent.

"Cut the bullshit, what is it that you want?" I asked him

"You and its either you come with us freely or we can do this the hard way"

"Well, we all learn the hard way don't we" I spat. He chuckled lightly.

"I like her" he said to the other guy beside him.

"Reece step away from the girl" a new voice boomed in the forest, I looked behind to find Dmitri, Frank's father standing there.

"Oh come one brother why do you always have to ruin the fun?" Reece the leader asked him.

"Because I don't want you anywhere near her" he replied

"Why? You want only yourself to be powerful?" he asked him

"You don't know what your talking about" Dmitri spat

"I know exactly what I'm talking about, You are very selfish and you want her all to yourself"

"I'm right here folks" I said to them. They both turned to look at me.

"You two can go" Dmitri said to us. I was shocked the badass Dmitri was letting us leave.

"No, they are not going anywhere" Reece said mentioning for his man not to let us go. More vampires started emerging from the trees, it was a full house. We were badly out numbered. I tried mind linking Ethan but it never worked, its like he vanished completely.

"Lets finish this between the two of us and whoever wins gets the queen" Dmitri suggested. Reece looked at us, his men and Dmitri's men and nodded slowly.

"You can go, but this is not the last time your highness" he said to me. Kyle didn't wait for them to change their minds, he took my hand left with me. We ran all the way to the mansion bursting through the door and startling Ethan who was in the kitchen with James, uncle David and Brian.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" I screamed at Ethan.

"What the hell?" He asked confused

"We were surrounded by vampires and I tried mind linking you but you just didn't respond" I told him still glaring at him.

"My mind has been open all this time, I didn't block you out" I didn't believe him, we could have died out there and all he was doing was hanging out. Kyle put his hand on my shoulder calming me instantly, his touch had so much effect on me.

"Who was it this time?" James asked

"Reece"

"The reckless, cold brother" Uncle David said

"What did I tell you about the forest Eleanor?" Ethan asked glaring at me. I merely rolled my eyes at him.

"How did you get out?" Brian asked.

"Dmitri showed up and they started bickering and we ran as soon as Reece said we can go" Kyle explained

"Reece let you live?" James asked

"Only because his brother challenged him and apparently whoever wins the fight today can have me" I told them smiling sarcastically.

"That's why you have to go" a voice said behind me making me jump.

"Shit Rose why do you always do that to me?" I asked as soon as I identified her.

"Its so much fun" she said with a smile.

"Gentlemen" she greeted them.

"Rose, you haven't changed your mind yet" Uncle David said smiling at her.

"Nope, who would want to marry a man with twin girls?" she asked laughing at him.

"David you still want to marry Rose?" James asked amused

"Yes sure" he said shrugging his shoulders. James laughed mumbling something like "stupid boy" at my uncle.

"Kyle, Brian how is your mother" she asked them.

"You know them?" I asked her

"Honey, I know everyone in the elemental kingdom" she said to me.

"She's doing okay" Brian smiled at her.

"Eleanor, what are you still doing here?" she asked turning to face me.

"Its not as easy as it sounds you know" I replied. It wasn't easy just living everything behind.

"I found something today, I have been at it for days trying to figure out how to break the spell" she said

"What spell" Ethan asked.

"You have all been tricked. Well not all of you, but Eleanor in particular and if the queen is tricked so is the whole kingdom" she explained. My heart was slamming so hard that I thought it will just jump out of my chest.

"Why?" I asked

"I need to undo the spell and everything will be clear" she said to me" Just don't tell your mate about this, you too Ethan" This is really getting ridiculous\

"What?" Ethan exclaimed

"Just trust me" she said

"When can you undo the spell" Kyle asked

"Tonight at my quarters" I had an awful feeling about this. Deep down I knew that this night is going to change my life, badly.

"And trust me after this you will be on the next flight to Dragon city"
