It had been two weeks since Jackson asked y/n to be his girlfriend and she accepted. Normally there would be a honeymoon phase where the two would've been madly in love with each other at the start, but that didn't happen. Instead, y/n was questioning if she had made the right decision. Jackson on the other hand, was feeling empty, it had started the day after y/n had agreed to be his girlfriend.

What confused Jackson more was a feeling towards his "cousin". Jackson was extremely confused about this feeling, especially considering that Leo was the reason their aunt Shelby was fired. So why was he thinking about Leo, his own blood, like this... Jackson sighed as he walked to his locker, trying to figure out what was wrong with him when he bumped into his girlfriend. "Oh! Sorry y/n, I didn't see you there..." Jackson Said, still trying to keep up the act of loving y/n, even tho it was difficult. He thought he loved Her, but the relationship felt empty. "It's ok, but can we talk after school?" Y/n said, brushing her hair and one of her fluffy antenna out of her. "Sure" Jackson Said, continuing to his locker. Once he got there, another thought about Leo popped into his head 'why the hell am I thinking about you this much! You're my cousin. And even still I hate you!! ....... Right?' Jackson thought, shaking the image of Leo from his mind.

As Jackson went to his final and least favorite class he was stopped by an Inu that had been stalking him, her hair honestly reminded Jackson of moldy cheese considering her terrible job of dying it. "Sooo Jackie~ have any plans later?" The inu asked, fluttering her sea green eyes. " actually yes Eileen, me and y/n are gonna talk after school." He responded, just warning the girl to shut up. "Well if you ever feel like you need a side chick, do you know who to talk to~" Eileen said, wagging her cheese colored tail before skipping off. Jackson never really liked Eileen because she was way too flirty for him, and came across as overbearing. Once Jackson entered his marine biology class he went to his usual seat and sat down. He quickly got bored waiting for their teacher and took out his phone, he decided to play tap-tap killer kat, he thought it was a cheesy name for an app but he like the game.

He was just about to be at his high school or when the person next to him randomly blurted out "camels can swim! That's what I was trying to tell Sarah!" Causing Jackson to jump, ultimately messing up his score. "What?!" Jackson said, extremely confused and concerned about his classmate's sanity. " yeah camels can swim and they're unreasonably good at it. There is literally a country in the Middle East where you can be kayaking and a camel can pull up on you in the water! It's a fact that can freak anyone out honestly." The random person said before going back to drawing. Jackson stared at the person for a few moments in confusion before putting his phone away. Just then mr. Andreas appeared, turning on the SmartBoard and beginning of the lesson.

(yes this random person is me, and yes I am only going to be making a cameo once in this book hopefully. And this was the cameo... I really hope this is the only time I cameo in this book I'm gonna be honest)

Jackson put his backpack on and went to the back of the school. He stood there waiting for y/n for about 35 minutes before she turned the corner " there you are! We really should've agreed on a meeting place." She said, her hybrid wings fluttering a little. "Well, what did you want to talk about?" Jackson asked, tilting his head to the side a little. "Well, you know how we just up and suddenly got together after knowing each other for one day?" Y/n said, you could hear the nervousness in her voice. "Yeah?" "Well, we really went way to fast for a normal relationship, and to be honest... I think I said yes in the heat of the moment because I didn't know what else to do. W-what I'm trying to say is... I think we should break up" y/n said, looking at Jackson with a straightforward face. Jackson looked a bit shocked but nodded. "Yeah... I think it's for the best as well.... Well I hope you find someone you can form a relationship with y/n." Jackson said, heading home before y/n could say anything.

Once Jackson got home he threw his backpack down on the floor and went to his room. As he passed his moms room, he could hear arguing. "YOU REALLY GROOMED YOUR NEPHEW INTO SLEEPING WITH YOU?! SHELBY HE'S 16!!" " why should it matter? It's not like his blood related or anything." "WHY SHOULD IT MATTER? YOU GROOMED A MINOR INTO SLEEPING WITH YOU!! IT DOESN'T MATTER THAT LEO ISN'T BIOLOGICALLY RELATED TO YOU! HE'S STILL YOUR NEPHEW.. AND HE'S A KID!! WHAT YOU DID IS ILLEGAL!! YOU'RE LUCKY I HAVE'NT CALLED THE COPS ON YOU YET YOU DISGUSTING OLD HAG!!" 'Wait... what?! Leo isn't my blood relative... and aunt Shelby groomed him?! What the hell is going on?! This is all so sudden!!' Jackson thought, listening to his mother and aunt Shelby argue. Eventually he rushed to his room and close the door, trying to piece together what was going on.

" Leo isn't my cousin?! And he was groomed!! What the hell is going on?! I mean that would explain why Leo isn't an Ōkami like aunt Lisa.... But aunt Shelby groomed him?! What in the world is going on?!" Jackson said to himself, lying down on his bed. The argument he just heard had shattered what he knew about his cousin and his aunt. The only thing he knew was that change was going to happen, but he didn't know whether it would be for the better or worse.

(And that is chapter 1, I'm sorry I got a bit cringing at the end, but I did want to include a logical reason as to why Leo slept with his teacher/aunt. And that was really the only thing I could come up with)
