CHAPTER 7
The date

(Ash's POV)

It's now Saturday morning and I'm waiting for Serena and Miette to arrive.

The guy that was asking about Serena and Miette hasn't came back yet which I'm glad about, but I'm still worried about what he wants to do with them.

I'll have to keep and extra eye out today.

I suddenly feel a gust of wind on my face and my window curtain blow open.

I look over to the other side of the room to see Serena.

"Hey Serena, where's Miette?" I ask. "Oh she is busy hunting so it's just me and you today." She replies. "Oh ok."

She pulls out an umbrella from behind her back.

"I've brought this just in case it gets too sunny." "It probably won't be sunny today, the sky is filled with black clouds." "Well I guess I can use it like normal mortals do then. Il, meet you outside k?" "Ok."

And then she was gone.

I waddle downstairs, say goodbye to my mum and make my way outside, putting a warm, fluffy coat and a pair of gloves on first.

Outside waiting was Serena, wearing a long, pink coat that went down to her knee caps and gloves of the same colour.

"Shall we get going then?" She asks. I nod and we start walking down the icy street.

"So where are we going then?" Serena asks. "I don't know, I thought you had this planned out?!" "I do, I was just messing with you." She giggles.

I sigh with relief and follow Serena to our first location.

We walk for around 10-20 minutes till we arrive at a small cafe.

Welcome to our first stop Ash." Serena says, as she open the door and lets me in.

A wave of warm air hits my face as I look around the small place.

There was a small counter with some cakes and drinks displayed on it.

There was multiple tables scattered around the room, somehow giving it a homely feeling.

The lights were dim so there was small candles positioned neatly on the tables.

"This place is beautiful Serena, why have I never seen this place before?" I ask. "I don't know, it's a nice cafe though, nice and dark."

We make our way to a small table of two in the corner of the room.

Serena picks up a menu and hands it to me.

"Thanks." I say.

I scan through the menu.

There was some nice things on here like Spaghetti Bolognese, Roast Beef and Curry, but I go for just a simple Cheese and Ham panini (if you don't know what that is then it's just a baguette but they warm it up.)

I look over to Serena.

"Aren't you gonna eat anything?" I ask.

She looks at me like I'm stupid.

I then remember something.

Serena's a vampire.

I mentally faceplam.

I quickly apologise and we sit there in an awkward silence.

A waitress then waddles over, a small notepad placed in her one hand and a pen in the other.

"Hello, what can I get you today?" She asks.

"I'll just have a cheese and ham panini with a chocolate milkshake." I say.

She turns to Serena.

"And what would you like?" "I've just eaten." Serena replies. "Oh ok, I'll be back in a minute with your order sir."

She bows then walks up to the counter again.

My panini and milkshake come and I quickly devour them.

It was SO GOOD!

Serena pays and we exit.

"So where are we going next?" Is ask.

Serena grabs her phone out of her pocket and checks the time.

It was 1:34.

"I was thinking maybe we could go to the mall." She says, pointing to the large mall down the street.

"Ok."

We walk down the street and enter the mall.

There wasn't many people like there usually is but the place is still quite crowded.

Shops are to the sides of the mall, displaying all sorts of clothes and random items.

In the middle was a large walkway, the floor covered in light and dark blue tiles.

"Let's go then!" Serena shouts, sparkles in her eyes.

I bet she's spotted something she wants.

I was about to start walking but get pulled into a shop.

"Serena you don't have to run around the places, it's not like the thing you want will disappear in front of your face!" I shout.

Serena stops.

"It might, Miette might have also realised that there is a sale so she might steal all the clothes before me." "Well we'll just keep and eye out then."

We go into multiple shops, Serena buying almost every piece of clothing in the shops with sales in.

In the end I am carrying four bags filled to the brim with clothes and Serena was carrying another three.

"Are you done now?" I moan, my legs aching like hell. "Um, I think so." "Well let's go then."

I start walking out the mall and Serena shortly follows.

I check the time.

It was 5:46!

I was int here for over 4 hours!!

Why god, I could have been spending that time playing a game or doing homework.

"Serena, I think I should get going now." I say. "Oh please don't Ash, there's one more place we need to go to." She pleads. "Ok, fine."

Serena starts running.

"If you want me to come you can at least not run!" I shout, running after her. "But you said that you needed to get home so I'm getting there quickly!" She shouts back.

I finally catch up to her and look up.

We were at a park and it was beautiful.

There was birds quietly chirping and a large pond, glistening from the sun.

Large trees and bushes were scattered around the edge and a small wooden bench was placed by the pond, making a perfect place for a couple to sit.

"Wow Serena, when did you find this place?" "Oh I was just hunting and i found this, it's stunning isn't it." "Yer..."

I look at Serena to see her largely grinning at me.

"Thankyou for the best date ever Ash."
