"Do you regret that it happened?"

"No"

Natsu pulled away from the hug and looked down at her. He opened his mouth to speak but was at a lost for words. Lucy feeling insecure from his gaze looked down. She didn't know what to say to him either. Should she tell him about Mason or not? Maybe it would be better she thought.

"Natsu I need to tell you something"

"Sure what is it?" He gently rubbed her hands

"You know how last week I came over and I-"

Suddenly the front door opened and Mason walked in the house.

"Lucy darling I'm home" He called out.

Lucy quickly pulled her hands from Natsu's and took a step back. Natsu glanced in her direction noticing her actions.

"Oh Mason, you're home earlier. I wasn't expecting you till tomorrow. I haven't cleaned the house yet."

"Oh hello Natsu, haven't seen you in a while. What you doing over here?" Mason asked in an intense tone.

"Oh Lucy left her ID at the baseball game the other night. I was just bringing it back to her."

"Ah I see, Lucy be a dear and go make me my favorite drink. Natsu come sit. Let's chat."

Natsu looked over to Lucy to see her quietly go into the kitchen. He then followed Mason and sat out the couch.

"So Lucy said you had a meeting out of the country, where were you this time around?"

"Oh we were out in London. Beautiful place. Gorgeous women haha I'm kidding. Nice trip though. Enjoyed it. How about you. Still teaching gym? Lucy always says you're good at baseball why didn't you join a national team?"

Lucy walked into the room and handed Mason his drink. As she began to sit down Mason stopped her.

"Lucy it's rude to not offer your guest anything to eat or drink."

Lucy gulped and stood back up.

"No offense Mason but you weren't here when i arrived. Lucy already offered me food and a drink. You don't need to tell her what to do."

"Natsu it's fine he didn't know." Lucy quickly responded trying to make sure things didn't escalate.

"You know Natsu I don't really appreciate the way you're talking to me. I think it's about time you get going. Bye now."

Natsu stood up in defense but quickly noticed Lucy staring him down. Her eyes begging him not too. He sighed and gave her a slight nod.

"See ya Luce, have a good day."

"I'll walk you to the door."

Natsu mouthed to her to see if she was ok. She smiled and nodded.

"Bye Natsu. Thanks for bringing my ID over." She gave him a little wink before shutting the door.

Natsu hesitantly walked away.

"Lucy I know he's you're best friend but I think he's making you someone you're not. Maybe you should limit your time with him."

Lucy looked at him in disbelief.

"Mason, we've been friends since we were little. If he had some kind negative influence on me it would shown already. I'm not gonna stop being friends with him." Lucy stood up for her self.

"Baby baby I'm not saying that. I'm just saying you shouldn't spend so much time with him."

"No you are telling me not hang out with him anymore. So essentially you're saying not to be friends anymore."

"You would seriously rather be friends with him and upset me then just do this one thing for me??" Mason asked liked he was hurt and offended.

Lucy couldn't believe what she was hearing. Was he gaslighting her about her friend.

"Why are you trying to control who I hang out with Mason I'm a grown women. Next you'll be telling me I can't watch the twins with Levy."

"Lucy you better watch how you're talking to me." Mason glared at her making her shiver.

"I just don't want to be told what I can or can't do. Or who I can or can't be around Mason."

"Lucy come here. Now" Mason said in a tone that made Lucy want to run away and hide.

"I missed you. Can't you give your husband a hug and a kiss." Suddenly his tone was completely different. Lucy hesitantly walked over to him and sat down.

"Did you miss me Lucy?" He asked as he pulled her into his arms. Softly kissing the back of her neck.

"Of course silly." She lied. She didn't miss him one bit. The last thing she wanted was for him to come home early.

"Mhmm baby" Mason moaned kissing up her jaw line.

"I-I'm not really in the mood can it wait?" She asked.

"That's fine. You can always just please me dear."

"I said I'm not in the mood for anything."

Mason let out a soft laugh.

"Lucy you're not being you're self. Telling me no. You know better. Oh I see. You want me to be dominant." Mason started to undo his belt and slip his pants off.

Lucy quickly stood up terrified of where she knew this was going. 

"I'm serious Mason"

Mason grabbed her wrist tightly and pulled her down. He slammed her body down onto the couch and pinned her arms down.

"S-stop!" Lucy cried out. She couldn't handle it if he got his way.

He ripped her shorts off and licked his lips.

"You ready for me baby"

"Mason please." Tears rolled down Lucy's cheeks. This man is no longer my husband she thought as he started taking advantage over her.

It's been two weeks since Natsu last saw Lucy or at least got to speak with her. He's seen her around the halls at school, but when he try's to speak with her she quickly walks away. He was determined to try to talk to her today. As the final bell was about to ring Natsu was already leaning on the door out side of Lucy's classroom.

"Okay have a great weekend! Make sure you get your rough draft completed for Monday." Natsu heard Lucy call out to her students.

As the students all hurried out of the classroom Natsu slipped in with ease.

"Hey Lucy."

"Hey Natsu, I'm actually in a hurry sorry." Lucy quickly tried to pack her things and leave.

Natsu shut the door and blocked the path out.

"I think it can wait. What's going on with you? Why are you avoiding me now?"

"I've just got some things going on right now. Busy with grades and I need to get home and change so I can head to Levy's. It's babysitting night."

"Levy can wait Lucy. Talk to me." Natsu felt like he was pleading for her.

"Natsu.."

"Please Luce."

Lucy sighed and sat her purse down.

"Okay what do you want to talk about?"

"You're being weird again. You're avoiding me and you rush home so quickly after work."

"I'm just busy, I don't have time to hang out right now. I'm not trying to avoid you. Just like I said I'm busy."

"Lucy... fine" Natsu turned around and left her classroom slamming the door shut.

Lucy's heart ached at the sound. He was visibly hurting from her actions and there was nothing she could do. She could not risk angering Mason again.

She took a deep breath and collected her self. She needed to get home and get to Levy's.

"Mason I am going to Levy's now is there anything else you need?" Lucy called out by the front door.

"No my darling, when um will you back? Midnight?"

"Depends really just when Gajeel gets home. Might be later tonight I'm not quiet sure though."

"Okay well just shoot me a text when you're on your way home."

"Will do"

With that Lucy left the house. Lucy didn't actually have to go to Levy's tonight Gajeel was Home this weekend. She planned to drive down the street and see if someone showed up. She knows what she saw but perhaps her eyes deceived her. Maybe it was a one time thing. It doesn't really make a difference at this point but she still wanted to know.

Her car was parked at the perfect angle. She would know. That or she would see Mason leave.  She hadn't decided if she were going to follow him be that the case.

A few hours past clouds grew darker as a storm began to roll in. Lucy casually played on her phone. She was tired. It was going on eight and still nothing. Perhaps it was a one time affair.

Suddenly a crack of thunder and lighting snapped her out of her phone causing her to look up at the perfect time. A car was pulling into her drive way.

Her heart ached. She hoped that who ever it is would ring the door bell. They have one of the smart bells. She could pull it up on her phone. Her phone was about five inches from her face as she waited. To her luck it went off.

Her phone was inches from her face as she watched the woman excitedly pace around her front door. Suddenly she sees Mason greet the woman in hug and he kisses her.

Lucy quickly threw her phone down into her car seat. Her lips quivered and her eyes filled with tears. It had been almost a month since the first time she saw it. But now, she's confirmed it. He really is cheating on her. She let out a loud sob that was drowned out by the rain pouring down on her car.

Her heart throbbed as she cried out. For some reason this time it hurts worse. What she couldn't understand is why he was taking advantage of her while seeing another woman. Why wouldn't he just leave her or stop sleeping with her. She never would have guessed he was having an affair if she hadn't caught him.

The tears didn't stop and Lucy couldn't do anything besides curl up and cry in her car.

"Yo Natsu where's Lucy? I haven't seen her here in weeks?" Gray asked as Natsu casually drank his beer.

"I don't know, she's been acting weird since her husband got back." His tone came off annoyed. He was annoyed and confused. She said she didn't regret the kiss but her actions are saying other wise. He bit his lip and sighed. She's married of course her actions say other wise. He thought and shook his head.

"Well tell her to come down and hang out with us. If anyone can get her here it's you Natsu." Erza said as she walked over to the table.

"She already said she was watching the twins with Levy tonight."

"Lucy wasn't coming over tonight. Gajeel is home this weekend. That's why I here!" Levy said as she sat down as well.

Natsu looked her in disbelief. Why did Lucy lie to him. He chugged his beer and stood up.

"Oh don't leave Natsu."
"Yeah everyone just got here"
"Party pooper"

"Enough!" Natsu yelled out then sighed. "It's not the same without Lucy with us. I'm going home."

Natsu ran out to his car in the middle of this storm. It was a short run but he was already soaked to the bone. Natsu quickly drove home as safe as he could. He sat in his car waiting for a break in the storm. It never did come though.

He covered his head as best he could and made a run for it. As he ran someone collided with him. The person he bumped into fell down.

"Oww.."

"Shit im sorry. I wasn't paying attention." Natsu leaned down to help the person.

"It's okay. Oh Natsu."

Hearing her voice Natsu stumbled back. "Lucy sorry. Here let me help you" Natsu pulled her to her feet.

"What are you doing here? Why did you lie to me about going to Levy's?"

Lucy opened her mouth to speak but no words came out. Natsu gazed upon her face. She was soaking wet. Her eyes looked puffy though like she had been crying.

"I-i... I'm sorry. I didn't want lie to you. I just I-"

"It's okay Luce. You don't need to explain you'll tell me if you want. What's wrong though? Have you been crying?"

"It's not a big deal. I just saw something that was upsetting."

Natsu cupped cheeks forcing her to look at him.

"Lucy.."

"Natsu I'm fine. You're too sweet for worrying. Really" she smiled and leaned up and kissed his cheek.

Natsu's cheeks grew hot from her kiss. His hands continued to cup her cheeks. His thumbs rubbed right below her eyes knowing she had been crying before. He couldn't help the way he was feeling right now. He wanted to hold her and let her know it's okay but he also just wanted to kiss her.

In an instant his lips were on hers. Lucy's eyes widened at his action. A wave of warmth flooded her senses as his lips kissed hers. Her eyelids fluttered shut as she deepened the kiss. She could feel Natsu smile into the kiss. She gripped his shirt tightly. Her body felt on fire. Is this how it's supposed to be? Is this what people call a spark? Perhaps she was just reacting because now she was the one cheating. She knew it was wrong now she's no better than her husband. But doesn't she deserve to be happy as well?

Natsu slowly broke from the kiss and rested his forehead against hers.  Water dripped from their wet heads as the rain poured down around them.

"Come lets go inside and dry off. I don't want you catching a cold" Natsu grabbed her hand and pulled her towards the complex.

Nasty unlocked the door and started peeling off his wet clothes.  He made his way to the bedroom. Lucy stood awkwardly not wanting to necessarily strip at the moment. Seconds later Natsu came back changed, with a towel on his head. His hands held a spare change of clothes and a dry towel.

"Here. I don't have ladies undies but you're more than welcome to go commando or wear the ones I gave you." He flashed her a smile and sat on the couch. Lucy nodded and went into the bathroom to change.

Her body was damp and cold. Her hair felt freezing as it hit her bare skin. She quickly got dressed and wrapped her hair tightly in the towel. She was impressed that Natsu even gave her some socks assuming her toes would be cold. She smiled at the thought and walked out into the living room with her wet clothes.

"I'm gonna throw these in the dryer. Want me to toss yours in as well?"

"If ya wouldn't mind that would be fabulous."

Lucy started the dryer and plopped her self down next to Natsu. They've officially crossed the lines of friendship. She's uneasy now that she thinks about it. What's going to change. Would they continue this scandal or what?

"Hey you okay?"

Natsu's voice broke her train of thought.

"Yeah I'm just not sure what to do now really."

"That is the question.. well we can do whatever makes us the most comfortable. It can never have happened. It did happen and that's it's. Or we let things happen naturally."

"Well there's not pretending that it didn't happen. Nor do I want to pretend it didn't happen. But I'm still married Natsu. If we continue I'm cheating."

"Yeah I know, it felt that our feelings were mutual so I persisted. But I would rather not have an affair unless you decide to leave him. But if you don't then maybe this shouldn't continue."

"I want to... he's the one having an affair already. He's not the same person. I-I've caught him twice now with her. He's so..." Lucy broke down into tears she covered her face with her hands.

Natsu's eyes widened at what she was saying.

"Lucy did you just say he's cheating on you?"

"Yes! That night over a month ago when I showed up here crying that was when I caught him. Then today.. I waited to see if someone would show up and they did. I caught them in our doorbell camera. That's why I lied about Levy's I wanted to confirm it!" Lucy's voiced cracked as she cried out.

Natsu was fuming. This whole time. He knew something was wrong. She wouldn't tell him. That piece shit husband of hers he was gonna kill him. Lucy noticed the rage in his eyes.

"Natsu please calm down"

"I'm going to kill him Lucy."

The pair stood up in unison. Lucy put her hands against Natsu's chest to prevent him from leaving the house.

"Natsu please. Stop. I don't want you to fight him. I don't need you going to jail. Please just stay with me. I can't lose you because him."

Natsu clenched his fists and sighed. He looked down into her big teary filled eyes and wrapped his arms around her.

"Alright alright"
