Lucy quickly pulled away realizing what she just did. She turned away and covered her face with her hands. Natsu sat there trying to figure out everything. They haven't kissed in six years and she is married. What

"Lucy.."

"Oh my god. Oh my god... Natsu i don't know why.. oh my god" Lucy started breathing heavy and freaking out.

"It's okay breathe. Um i am confused. Lucy what I just um." Natsu is trying to speak but can't get his words out just right.

Lucy slowly stood up avoiding eye contact.

"I'm sorry!" She cried out before grabbing her bag and running out of the apartment. 

Natsu confused quickly stood up and rushed out after her. She was speeding for the stairs when Natsu grabbed ahold of her arm.

"Lucy please wait." Natsu said trying to pull her away from the stairs.

As Natsu's grip tightened around her arm Lucy panicked and cried out.

"Stop please don't!" As she turned tears were in her eyes and she slowly fell to the ground.

Natsu immediately let go scared he had hurt her arm.

"Shit I'm sorry Luce. Did I hurt-"

Before Natsu could finish his sentence Lucy was running down the stairs to her car. Natsu watched her run away. He saw her look around then sit on the ground and cover her face. He then remembered their cars were left at the pub.

"Young man, you ought to be treating young ladies with respect."

Natsu turned to see an elderly women standing in her door way. He assumed she heard the commotion and came to investigate.

"Yes ma'am I do."

"I've seen you around. You have brought over quite a few different ladies. I hope you learn your lesson. That kind of behavior doesn't pull over well with nice ladies such as the one crying downstairs."

The little old women slowly walked past Natsu and made her way down the stairs. She approached Lucy and the two made small talk. Natsu watched for a while then made his way back inside. He sat down on the couch and noticed Lucy's things scattered about. He couldn't wrap his mind around what even just happened. Suddenly he remembered their short kiss. The heat rushed to his cheeks and he pressed his knuckles to his lips.

"What in the world is my brain thinking!" Natsu's thoughts were a mess. He enjoyed the kiss but it's Lucy. His best friend. Who is married. To an asshole but still married.

After about twenty minutes Natsu assumes Lucy wouldn't be coming back tonight. He sighed and started to gather her belongings. Natsu isn't the cleanest person, but tonight he took the time to fold all her clothes and place them in a bag to bring to her later.

After all the events of that evening Natsu laid down in bed trying to gather all his thoughts. He thought about what he would say the next time he saw her. How would she react around him. Would she be too uncomfortable to hang out with him now. What did that kiss mean. Was it's drunken mistake, they weren't really drunk but they still had alcohol in their system. As he's thoughts become foggy from sleep he couldn't help but wish the kiss had lasted a little while longer. There was a faint tint of pink across his cheeks as he doze off into slumber.

Lucy sat on the ground in her living as she watched her phone ring for the tenth time in the last hour. She could see the caller ID from a far and knew it was Natsu. She wasn't ready to face him yet. Similarly to him her thoughts were also a mess. She could barely comprehend why she kissed him. Surely she thought their friendship was damaged. She wouldn't blame Natsu if he didn't want to see her anymore.

Lucy turned away from the blinking phone with a blush clearly written across her face. She couldn't stop thinking about the kiss they shared together. She felt so bad yet she kind of enjoyed it.

Lucy jolted as the door bell rang. Was it Natsu, perhaps a package. Maybe Mason sent her flowers. He always sends her flowers a few days before he returns home. 

Slowly she cracked open the door and peaked out side. To her demise it was Natsu. He was holding a bag of what she assumed was her things.

"Jeez Luce you avoiding me or something. I've been calling your phone. Why aren't your picking up. I was trying to see if you were home."

Lucy looked at her feet and nibbled on her lip.

"Sorry.."

Natsu sighed and titled his head at her.

"You gonna let me in or what? I brought your clothes back for you. I assumed you wouldn't be coming back since it is Saturday and Mason will be home tomorrow."

Lucy could feel her heart racing. How could he be so calm and normal like nothing ever happened. She slowly opened the door so he could enter.

"Sorry.. thanks for bringing my clothes back. Are you thirsty? Hungry? Wanna sit down?"

"Ha I'm good Luce, I know I can help my self at your house. Whatcha been up to? It's pretty dark in here why don't you open some blinds?"

Lucy followed him in and shut the door.

"Oh well Mason doesn't like them being open. He said it makes the house too hot."

"Well he's not here. Why don't you just close them when he get back. Here." Natsu tugged on the curtain and pull them open.

The light shined through and lit up the entire room.

Lucy stared in awe, she hadn't seen her house like this in years. Natsu smiled and took in her amazement by such a small task.

"No offense but have you even showered yet.. you look pretty um rough."

Lucy gasped and turned away embarrassed.
"I-I slept in and didn't get around to it yet!"

Natsu chuckled and made him self comfortable on the couch. "Why don't you go shower and I'll wait for you."

"But why?" Lucy asked she knew where this was leading. 

"Well I think you'll feel better after a nice shower. Then I think we need to have a little talk."

Lucy looked down at her feet and sighed. "I see, okay. Give me ten minutes" she could feel her self about to cry and quickly excused her self from the room.

The second Lucy was out of sight Natsu let out a deep breath. His leg started bouncing as his nerves started to get worked out. He kept his cool hoping it would ease Lucy. But in reality he was freaking out. Unsure what would happen from here.

Almost thirty minutes had passed and Lucy still hadn't come down. Natsu slowly made his way up stairs and headed towards her room. He could still hear the shower running from outside. He lightly tapped on the bedroom door and called her name but there was no response. He pushed the door open and peaked inside. No one was there. He then tapped on the bathroom door and call her name again.

"Luce, you okay in there? It's been a while."

There was no response from the other side. Natsu's heart rate increased. As he knocked a little louder this time and he raised his voice. Still no response.

"Lucy you better not be ignoring me. I'll break down this door come on answer me." Natsu warned.

Still nothing just silence.

Natsu licked his lips as he prepared him self to kick to the door in. She might get mad but he had to make sure she was okay. Before doing so he gave the handle a little turn and to his luck the door was unlocked.

"You got lucky Lucy." Natsu looked in and sighed at the sight in front of him. Lucy's arms were resting on the side of the tub with her head on top and she was sleeping. The shower curtain covered her body just enough to hide her lady friends.

Natsu crouched down and poked her nose.

"Hey sleepy head wake up"

Lucy's eyebrows stitched together and her eyes fluttered open. 

"Hmm. Oh hey Natsu. What's up.." As she rose her head she realized the position she was in and heat rushed to her face.

"GET OUT!!"

Natsu's eyes went wide at her yelling. And he stumbled back and fell on his butt.

"Hey don't yell! You were sleeping it's been a long time I was worried!"

"GET OUT!!!" She yelled again.

Natsu crawled out of the bathroom and shut the door. He leaned up against the door and sighed yet again.

The water shut off and the curtain opened with lots of rage. With in seconds the bathroom door flew open to reveal Lucy wrapped in a towel. Unfortunately for poor Natsu that meant he fell backwards back to the floor.

"Owww..." he winced in pain from his head hitting the ground. As he opened his eyes he realized he was now in deeper shit then before. In his current position he was now between Lucy's unclothed legs.

"Oh no.."

"AHHHHHHHH" Lucy screamed as she stepped on Natsu's peeping face.

"Ahhhhhh" she continued to yell as she ran to her closet.

Natsu rolled in pain from her feet squishing his beautiful face. "Oooooww ow ow!" He cried out.

"Lucy you broke my face!"

"You saw my-my ahhh!" She yelled back from the closet.

"It was an accident!!!"

"Stupid stupid stupid STUPID NATSU!"

Natsu sat up enraged.

"What about stupid stupid Lucy huh! Stupid Lucy fell asleep in the shower! Stupid Lucy kissed me and left me with no explanation!"

Natsu stood up and left the bathroom to head back downstairs.

"This was a mistake. You obviously want to pretend it never happened.  If you change your mind and want to talk you know where you can find me." With that Natsu left her room.

Lucy gulped. She was avoiding him. She was stupid. Stupid for her actions that she's too scared to own up to now. Her feet started moving on their own. Gradually they took off into a run as she chased after Natsu.

"Natsu.. wait!" She grabbed the back of his shirt to stop him.

"Don't go.. you're right we need to talk. It's not something I can pretend never happened. I don't wanna pretend it never happened. I just i don't know how to talk about it."

Natsu turned around and pulled her into a hug and rested his chin on top of her head.

"Do you regret that it happened?" He asked pink showing in his cheeks.

"No"
