Chapter 1:

Here's chapter 1, that is all.

You landed in a green valley with a soft thud and let out a sigh.

While it may have only been a few minutes from your perspective, you flew pretty far to the point where the area you had a confrontation with that Shogun Lady became obscured by large mountains.

Hopefully she won't send anyone after you and you could finally figure out where you were.

It was very jarring waking up in this place after being sealed for who knows how long.

Not only did you need to figure out where you were you also needed to know how you were freed.

"Did someone break me out, did the seal weaken over time, or did I subconsciously break out myself?" You thought racking your brain for any answer.

It made your head hurt trying to figure this out and that combined with the frustration of knowing no one here can help with answers made it worse.

However, you were brought out of your thoughts by the sound of music.

Listening closely you could tell it was the sound of a Lyre being played, and it was rather beautiful.

So beautiful in fact that your headache faded and you forgot about the questions you had.

It felt as if the sound was beckoning you and so you heeded it's call and followed it to the source.

The music's volume increased meaning you were getting closer to whoever was producing this heavenly sound.

Finally you noticed you had come to a large tree and sitting there by the base of it was the one playing the Lyre.

Venti:

The woman seemed to not have noticed you as you grew close and once you were close enough you sat down on a nearby rock and enjoyed the sound of her playing.

After a few minutes the woman appeared to be done and you applauded and that finally caught Venti's attention.

"Oh, hello there Stranger." She greeted with a kind smile.

"Greetings, forgive me if I'm being forward, but that was truly beautiful music." You said making her giggle.

"Thank you very much, I'm pleased to know you enjoyed it." She replied taking a bow. "I am Venti by the way, it's a pleasure to meet you."

After your first encounter with those 2 ladies, it was nice to meet a friendly face.

"Likewise, my name is Galacta Knight." You introduced.

Venti gained a curious look upon hearing that and finally noticed what you were wearing.

"Is that...your real name?" She asked tilting her head.

"I suppose, Galacta Knight is not a conventional name now is it?" You asked sweatdropping a bit.

"It really isn't." Venti replied. "Is there anything else I can call you?"

You began to think.

Galacta Knight was your official name, no joke, that is what you were called your entire life by...HER.

Oh wait, now that you think about it, there was another name you went by that the others called you.

"The others..." You thought sadly remembering your 3 friends. "All I can do for now is hope they're better off than me."

You could do nothing to help them at the moment, you had no idea where they were, you had no idea where YOU were, so yes, all you could do was hope right now.

Your 3 friends always thought you deserved a proper name rather than "Galacta Knight" and so they opted to give you one.

They had settled on "(Y/N)," it was a simple name, but it was one they thought for you...and so you happily let them call you that.

The fact that they cared enough to give you a proper name made it more than acceptable.

"(Y/N), call me (Y/N)." You stated happily.

"Ah, that name suits you in my opinion, now (Y/N)..." Venti said taking another look at your attire. "I take it you aren't from around here."

"I suppose I do look rather strange don't I?" You asked with a chuckle.

"Not really strange, I'd say more...heroic." Venti answered surprising you. "I've just never seen anything like your armor is all, it's very beautiful, even with all the damage it sustained."

"Well, thank you..." You said blushing a bit from under your mask. "I do my best to take care of it."

"It shows, I can tell you're a strong Warrior as well." Venti added. "How did it get damaged by the way?"

It was at this moment you realized another thing.

What do you tell people about where you came from?

You can't just say: "I am an interdimensional knight who got sealed away for millennia only for said seal to break and I ended up waking up here."

"Oh, I was in...a very rough battle when I first got here, I'd rather not talk about it." You replied and Venti nodded.

"Very well, I won't pester you." She said much to your relief.

However, then the woman asked a question that immediately made you more nervous.

"Where are you from by the way?" She asked curiously.

"Oh...um..." You attempted to come up with a believable answer. "Far away...very far away...in fact I know next to nothing about the place I'm in right now."

"Oh wow, how did you end up here?" She asked again.

"Um...it's rather complicated." You replied scratching the back of your neck. "I really can't explain it, forgive me."

"Oh, very well, I can tell you have a good soul so if you want to keep your secrets it's fine." Venti said with a shrug.

"Thank you, also if you don't mind me asking..." You began before rising up from your sitting position.

It was only now that Venti noticed how incredibly tall you were compared to her.

She barely came up to your chest, it was a little intimidating.

"Do you know anywhere I could go and stay, I'm very much homeless and am very much dirt poor." You explained a bit depressingly.

Venti shook her head from the initial shock.

"Oh o-of course..." She stuttered out and pointed off somewhere into the distance. "In that direction lies the city of Mondstadt."

"I can go there and there won't be any issues?" You asked a little concerned.

"Not at all, the folks there are quite welcoming and friendly, it is the city of freedom after all." Venti explained and you nodded.

"I have no better options, thank you." You stated walking off.

"You don't want me to walk you there?" Venti asked asked with a raised brow.

"If what you're saying is true, I'm sure I'll find it on my own if I follow your directions." You said before turning to face her. "I can tell you're a good person too so I know you're not lying to me or misleading me."

What you said next caused Venti's face to go bright pink in a Blush.

"Anyone who's as beautiful as you and can make music just as beautiful can't be a bad person."

"O-oh...well...thank you very much." She stuttered out rubbing the back of her head.

"No, thank you..." You said sincerely. "For being the first friend I've gained here."

"There's no need to thank me for that." Venti giggled. "I'm always happy to make a friend."

"If we meet again, will you play me more of your beautiful music?" You asked hopefully.

"Of course." Venti said with a bow. "It would be my pleasure."

You nodded before beginning your journey to Mondstadt.

As you walked off, Venti let out a sigh and watched as your figure disappeared into the distance.

"Jeeze, he may not be evil...but I can tell he is extremely powerful, it's rather terrifying." She thought before leaning against the tree. "I wonder what will happen with him here."

Meanwhile:

You walked towards the direction Venti pointed at admiring the land's beauty.

The green grass, the stars in the night sky accompanied by the sounds of the night animals.

You had to admit, even though you were frazzled, lost and confused, this wasn't a bad place to wake up to.

As you kept on walking, you began to think about what you're going to do.

"What do I do once I get to...Mondstadt, I think she called it..." You thought and it was a very good question.

Indeed, what do you do once you get to the city.

You shook your head clear of those thoughts.

"Stop Galacta Knight, that's a bridge you'll cross once you get there." You sighed before continuing your walk.

However you stopped once again when you sensed something was near.

Looking around you saw that there was a bush, and it was rustling indicating something was hiding within.

You held out both your hands and in a flash your lance and shield appeared and you got into a fighting stance.

You then swung at the bush sending a rift of bright pink energy at it.

Whatever was hiding seemed to have seen this and immediately jumped out of it's hiding place to avoid the rift.

When the rift made contact with the bush there was an explosion which caused whoever was previously hiding to go flying a good distance away.

They sailed across the air and would have hit the ground with an extremely hard thud.

If it weren't for you catching them mid-air.

In an instant you had spread your wings, flew behind them and caught them by the back of their neck.

Now you could finally see who had the balls to try and attack you.

It was clearly a woman, but it was not a human judging by her jet black skin.

"What am I holding?" You asked yourself as the woman struggled to get out of your grip.

She was also growling incoherently, more like a beast than a person which furthered your belief that this wasn't a human.

You dematerialized your lance and used your now free hand to pull off her mask revealing a very pretty feminine face with purple eyes.

She glared and snarled at you struggling even harder.

You hmphed and dropped her mask and rematerialized your lance and held it to her neck and she instantly stopped and gained a look of fear.

"Can you talk?" You asked and was met with silence as a response.

"I'll take that as a no." You sighed before harshly throwing this woman onto the ground.

The woman hit the ground back first, the toss was so hard it caused the ground around her to crack and break, a few of her bones broke and she spat up blood.

Before she could even scream out in pain you stomped on her stomach to keep her down forcing more blood out of her mouth.

Now she couldn't even scream as the breath was knocked out of her lungs.

You had held back to make sure you didn't kill her, you weren't a fan of killing unless you had to.

You removed your foot from her stomach and continued your journey to this city.

However, the moment you took your first step, you felt something grip your ankle.

Turning to look down you saw the woman had gripped your ankle.

The look she was giving you though wasn't one of anger or fear...it was a pleading look.

Almost like she was asking for your help.

She slowly got up due to the beating you gave her, she let out multiple grunts of pain as you could hear her bones cracking.

She then pointed off somewhere into the distance and began limping towards a destination.

It was clear she wanted you to follow her.

However you could see walking was a struggle for her and she nearly fell over.

Luckily you manged to catch her and hold her bridal style.

She looked up at you in surprise as you began walking in the direction she was gesturing towards.

It was clear she wanted your help for whatever was in that direction and you could never turn away when one needed help.

SHE...always said that was a flaw of yours but you did not care, if you could help anyone who needed it you would without hesitation.

After a while she seemed to understand what you were doing and relaxed to allow you to carry her.

Looks like Mondstadt would have to wait for now.
