The Bullhead then lands at Beacon Academy and we see Y/n step off it and look at the school.

Y/n: Woah...

Ruby and Yang then step off and say the exact same thing that Y/n did.

Y/n: Man, this view is amazing!!!

Yang: You could say that it's the "Beacon" of our life!

Y/n and Ruby: *groans in anger*

Y/n: If I had a tomato, I would be throwing it at you right now.

Y/n then sees some of the other students pass by and Ruby somehow turns into a chibi version of herself.

Ruby: Ooh! Ooh! Sis! That kid has a collapsible staff!!

Another student then passes by.

Ruby: And she's got a fire sword!!!

Ruby then starts to wander off, as Yang grabs her hood.

Yang: Easy there, little sister. They're just weapons.

Ruby: Just weapons? They're an extension of ourselves! They're a part of us!!!

Y/n: If only you knew about blades...

Ruby: They're so cool!

Y/n: Well, don't you have your own weapon?

Yang: Yeah, why can't you swoon over your own weapon? Aren't you happy with it?

Ruby: Of course I'm happy with Crescent Rose! I just really like seeing new ones. It's like meeting new people. But better.

Yang: Ruby, come on, why don't you go try and make some new friends of your own?

Ruby: But why would I need friends when I have you and Mythra?

Y/n: Well-

Before Y/n can say anything else, Yang interrupts him.

Yang: Well... Actually my friends are here. Gotta go catch up. 'Kay, c'ya, bye.

As Yang runs off with her friends, Y/n quickly regains his balance as Ruby starts to get dizzy.

Ruby: Wait! Where are you going? Are we supposed t go to our dorms? Where are our dorms? ...Do we have dorms? I don't know what I'm doing...

Ruby then falls down and lands on someone's stuff.

Y/n: You alright Ruby?

Ruby: Yeah, I'm fine.

???: What are you two doing!?

Y/n: Huh?

Y/n then turns around to see a girl with white hair and all white attire.

Ruby: Uh... sorry.

White-Haired Girl: Sorry? Do you have any idea of the damage you could've caused?

Y/n: Hey, be-

The White-Haired Girl then grabs the suitcase that Y/n grabbed.

White-Haired Girl: Gimme that! This is Dust mined and purified from the Schnee Quarry.

Y/n: What?

Ruby and Y/n: Uhh...

White-Haired Girl: What are you two, brain dead? Dust! Fire, Water, Lighting, energy!

She then begins to shake the bottle, which Ruby starts to inhale little by little.

Y/n: Um, you might want to-

White-Haired Girl: Are you two even listening to me? Is any of this sinking in?

Y/n: You should probably-

White-Haired Girl: What do you two have to say for yourselves?!

It's too late, as Ruby sneezes, causing a giant explosion.

White-Haired Girl: Unbelievable! This is exactly the kind of thing I was talking about!!!

Ruby: I'm really, really sorry!

White-Haired Girl: Ugh! You complete dolt! What are you even doing here? Aren't you a little young to be attending Beacon?

Y/n: And aren't you a little old to be throwing temper tantrums?

White-Haired Girl: What did you say?

Y/n: You heard me! You're acting like a spoiled brat who doesn't get their way!! Life isn't fair. Not to mention, I tried to warn you, but YOU weren't listening!!! I don't care who you are, just back off, get out of sight, and stop being a brat, you little princess!!!

???: It's Heiress, actually.

Y/n: Heiress?

I then turn around to see a girl in an almost all black attire with a bow on her head.

Black-Haired Girl: Correct. Weiss Schnee, heiress to the Schnee Dust Company, one of the largest producers of energy propellant in the world.

Y/n: So this girl's name is Weiss, huh? But what's the catch to this whole thing?

Weiss: Finally, some recognition!!!

Black-Haired Girl: The same company infamous for its controversial labor forces and questionable business partners.

Y/n: There it is.

Weiss: What- How dare--! The nerve of--! Ugh!

She then grabs the bottle from the explosion and walks off steaming in rage.

Ruby: I promise I'll make this up to you! *sigh*

Y/n: Well, that was something.

Ruby: Yeah, I guess we're not the only ones having a rough first day. So what's--?

Ruby then turns around to talk to the Black-Haired Girl, but she starts to walk away as well. Ruby then falls to the ground, very upset.

Ruby: Welcome to Beacon...

Y/n: Hey. At least you still have me.

Ruby: True.

Y/n then helps Ruby up as an awkward silence fills the room.

???: Hey...

The two then turn around as the see a blonde boy, or as Y/n addressing him as, "Vomit Boy."

Jaune: I'm Jaune.

Ruby: Ruby.

Y/n: Mythra.

Y/n then tries to hold in a bit of laughter.

Y/n: Weren't you... the one who threw up on the ship?

*Time-skip*

Y/n's POV

We start to walk around, and we get a bit of a conversation.

Jaune: All I'm saying is that motion sickness is a much more common problem than people let on!

Y/n: Sorry, but when I saw you throw up, Vomit Boy was the first thing to come to mind.

Jaune: Oh yeah, what I called you both Crater-face?

Ruby: Hey, that explosion was an accident.

Jaune: Well the name's Jaune Arc! Short, sweet, rolls of the tongue, ladies love it!

Y/n and Ruby: Do they really?

Jaune: They will. Well, I hope they will... I mean, my mom always says that... Never mind.

Y/n: Okay then...

I start to get worried, not knowing what to say next, but due to Ruby, she saves it.

Ruby: So... I got this thing.

She then pulls out her weapon, which comes slamming onto the ground.

Jaune: Whoa! Is that a scythe?

Ruby: It's also a customizable, high impact velocity sniper rifle.

Y/n: Wow.

Jaune: A wha-?

Y/n and Ruby: It's also a gun.

Jaune: Oh. That's cool!

Y/n: So, Jaune, what do you have?

Jaune: Oh- un, I got this sword.

Jaune then pulls out his sword, which does look rather neat.

Y/n: Neat.

Jaune: Yeah, I've got a shield too!

Ruby: So what do they do?

Jaune: Well... the shield gets smaller... So... when I get tired of carrying it... I can just put it away.

Ruby: But wouldn't it weigh the same?

Jaune: Yeah, it does.

Y/n: That's pretty cool.

Jaune: Huh?

Y/n: A shield that can turn into a sheathe is rather helpful. You can play three different roles with it. You can be offensive, defensive, or both at the same time. It's a pretty neat gimmik.

Jaune: Wow... thanks! Anyways, what's yours?

Ruby: Yeah, what is yours Mythra?

I then flinch back a bit at what she said, but I decide it would be best to have them see it and explain if they want an explanation.

Y/n: Alright, just hold on.

I then stick my hand out and Mythra's sword appears right in my hands.

Jaune: Woah....

Ruby: That's so COOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jaune: Eh?

Y/n: Huh?

Before I can even say anything, Ruby starts talking again.

Ruby: What is THAT!? It's AMAZING!!!! Did you make it yourself? What's its name?

Y/n: I don't know this thing's name! Wh-What? I mean... it could be called the Aegis Sword, but...

Ruby: That's awesome... But where did it come from just now?

Jaune: I'd like to know that to!!!

Y/n: Well-

Ruby: Actually, wait, don't tell me! Hmm... You didn't have it out a minute ago, and you held out your hand to bring it out, so it might be... Nope, can't figure it out, I give up, I have no idea!

Y/n: Do you guys want me to tell you now?

Jaune: Yes please.

Ruby: Yeah, where did it come from?

I then point down at my core crystal.

Jaune: That crystal brought that out?

Y/n: Yup. After I resonated with the crystal in the blade, the crystal then went into my body. Though before I did gain this power, I did look... a lot different than what you see now.

Ruby: How different?

Y/n: So different that you wouldn't even be able to recognize who I am if we were all lost in a crowd.

Jaune: Wow.

Y/n: Mind explaining why you asked about our weapons, Ruby?

Ruby: Well, I'm kind of a dork when it comes to weapons. I guess after seeing your guy's weapons, it makes me think I went a bit overboard in designing it.

Y/n and Jaune: YOU MADE THAT?!

Ruby: Of course! All students at Signal forge their own weapons. Didn't you two make yours?

Y/n: Remember when I talked about my core crystal?

Ruby: Oh right! Sorry.

Y/n: Well, what about yours Jaune. Did you make it?

Jaune: No. It's a hand-me-down. My great-great-grandfather used it to fight in the war.

Ruby: Sounds like a family heirloom to me!

Y/n: Still, the weapon is neat. And you've got a shield. I can only use my sword.

Y/n: I'm not going to tell them about Siren yet.

Ruby: Well, I like both of yours! Not many people have an appreciation for the classics these days.

Y/n: So Jaune, why'd you come to us in the courtyard?

Jaune: Eh, why not? My mom always says, "Strangers are just friends you haven't met yet."

Ruby: Hmmm... Hey, where are we going?

Jaune: Oh, I dunno, I was following you guys. You think there might be a directory?

Y/n: *sigh* Come on. Let's find someone who can tell us where to go.

No one's POV

After asking someone where to go, Y/n, Jaune, and Ruby find where they need to go. As they do, Yang calls out to Ruby.

Yang: Ruby! Over here! I saved you two both a spot!

Ruby: Hey, I gotta go! I'll see you after the ceremony!!

Jaune: Hey, wait!!! Well, at least your still here-

Y/n didn't even say anything and as already walked away.

Y/n: *sigh* Man, this day has been crazy.

He then finds a spot and waits for Ozpin to deliver his speech.

Y/n: Stuck in this world as the Aegis. It does make me wonder something. Will I be... encountering characters from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 in this world? Meh, I'll find out when the time comes.

As he thinks to himself, he hears Ozpin start to talk.

Ozpin: Ahem... I'll keep this brief. You have traveled here today in search of knowledge. To hone your craft and acquire new skills. And when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But I look amongst you and all I see is wasted energy in need of purpose, direction. You assume knowledge will free you of this but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step.

Ozpin then leaves as Glynda takes the stage.

Glynda: You will gather in the ballroom tonight. Tomorrow, your initiation begins. Be ready. You are dismissed!

As Y/n heads to the ballroom, he starts to think to himself.

Y/n: Ozpin seemed... kind of off in his own world. What is he hiding?

*Time-skip to night*

Y/n's POV

I then get in a corner and make a bit of an area, since I'm like Mythra when it comes to sleeping.

???: Mind if I sleep over here?

I look up and see the black-haired girl from before.

Y/n: Um, sure. But I might be a problem during the night...

Black-Haired Girl: How so?

Y/n: There's many things I do in the night. Like talking in my sleep, or grinding my teeth, or snoring, or... I'm just a terrible sleeper...

Y/n: I mean, back home, my parents had my doors locked from the outside and would put in earplugs to not hear me during the night.

Black-Haired Girl: You snore and grind you teeth?

Y/n: W-Well, it's not always. I-I mean, i-it's just a warning that I'm trying to give you!

Black-Haired Girl: I'll take those chances.

Y/n: Oh, I never got your name. I'm Mythra.

Blake: Blake.

I then move a bit of my stuff over and I see her open a book and light some candles.

Y/n: I think I just let a bookworm into my area.

I then hear Ruby and Yang walk up to her and try to start a conversation with Blake.

Yang: *to Blake* I believe you two may know each other!

Blake: Aren't you that girl that exploded?

Ruby: Uhh, yeah! My name's Ruby. But you can just call me... crater... actually you can just call me Ruby.

Blake: Okay.

Yang: So... what's your name?

Blake: Blake.

Yang: Well, Blake, I'm Yang! Ruby's older sister! ... I like your bow!

Blake: Thanks

Yang: It goes great with your... pajamas!

Blake: Right...

Y/n: Yeah, this is getting us nowhere.

I then notice Blake's book, and my curiosity got to me.

Y/n: Hey Blake, what's the name of the book you're reading? Or what's it about?

Blake: Well... It's about a man with two souls, each fighting for control over his body.

Y/n: Wow, it's like Pyra and Mythra, but they both agree on who takes control.

Y/n: Interesting story...

Ruby: I love books. Yang used to read to me every night before bed. Stories of heroes and monsters... they're one of the reasons I want to be a Huntress.

Blake: Why is that? Hoping you'll live happily ever after?

Ruby: I'm hoping we all will. As a girl, I wanted to be just like those heroes in the books. Someone who fought for what was right and who protected people who couldn't protect themselves.

Blake: That's very ambitious for a child.

Y/n: Well, life is not a fairy tale. It's a never-ending cycle of pain.

Ruby: Well, that's why we're here... to make it better.

Yang and Ruby then get into a little fight as I hear a voice I didn't want to hear.

Weiss: What in the world is going on over here!? Don't you realize some of us are trying to sleep!?

Weiss then sees me and Yang.

Y/n, Yang, and Weiss: Oh, not you again!!!

Y/n: You just don't know when to quit, do you?!

Ruby: Shh! Guys, she's right! People are trying to sleep!

Weiss: Oh, now you're on my side!!!

Y/n: I'm betting she was always on your side, but you never took the time to listen to her!

Yang: Yeah, what's your problem with my sister!? She's only trying to be nice!

Weiss: She's a hazard to my health!!!

Blake then blows out her candles, so I decide to go to bed.
