Amethyst flies to the library and sees her sister sitting there reading a book.
"H-hi," Says Amythest unsure.
"You don't have to be afraid. I'm your sister and I would never hurt you. Rubyness might hurt you, but she is not a part of me anymore. I am Ruby. I am your friend, and sister." replies Ruby as she smiles at her sister.
"What did you want to tell me?"
"Your father told you his side of the story, but I didn't get a chance to explain mine."
"But you... I'm not mad at y-"
"I know," says Ruby inturrupting her before she could finish, "but I just figured that you deserve to know the whole truth."
"Ok, fire away."
"Well, what your father said is true... most of it. I was in the plane that crashed into him, but I was not flying it, I was only a passenger. You see, my father was a superhero as well. Your dad made up the whole arch-nemisis thing because he didn't actually know who was in that plane. My father and I were passengers on the plane flying to the next island we needed to be stationed at. It was a pretty smooth flight until something happened. There was a crash and a boom. The next thing I knew the pilot had lost control and we were heading straight down to earth. The whole plane went quiet, so quiet that you could hear a pin drop. We had no bad intentions, my father and I ran up to the front of the plane where the pilot was and found both the pilot and co-pilot unconscious. I didn't know why, but we also didn't want to crash so my dad and I- we tried to steer the plane back on course, but flying a plane isn't easy. Then, I saw your father, or at the time known as Mr. Chrontastic. He was doing his daily check, and we had talked a few times before but not so much as to be called enemies nor friends. Anyways, he was right in front of us and we tried to steer the plane up, we really did but it was too late. He had flown right into our plane, the last thing he saw was the fire in my eyes. It wasn't of hatred towards him but just towards the pilot because he fell unconscious. We still are unsure of what happened, but you think a pilot would try harder wouldn't he?"
"Yeah..." Amethyst says in awe at what she just heard. Amethyst could not comprehend this much at once.
"Thanks... for letting me hear your side of the story but it's getting dark and I think I should be heading home," says Amethyst in hopes that she can sleep on it.
"Ok! Good night little sister. If you need me I'll be here, in this dark and gloomy library," says Ruby full of sadness.
Amethysts pauses.
"Wait- why are you here anyways? Don't you have a place to sleep..? I heard mother say "you came back," but I don't get where you came back from...??"
"Oh yeah. By the way, back at my evil lair when I said your parents sent me here- that was a lie. I was still in that "evil" phase, but now I realize that I want to do something good with my life, and not hurt others. And when mother said "you came back," that was because after the crash when we got home, my father was still in shock, and I had too many emotions that I didn't know what to do with myself. So, I ran away. I didn't know what happened to my parents after that but I'm guessing they got in a divorce because now my mom is with your dad. But anyways, I ran away because I couldn't bare it. It was all too much for me. And that's when I found this library and I've been here ever since."
"That's terrible Ruby!"
"I know."
"Well... I'm sure my parents wouldn't mind if I stayed with you here for the night... to well... keep you company."
"Yes, I'd love that. Thank you"
"Anytime."
