A long long long time ago, on a golden fall, there lived an evil scorcher named André Toulon. He lived with his precious puppets, and a young woman who he raised since birth to be his magical student. Her name was Ava. Ava was from a rich family that had lost their daughter to the jealous wizard. He was jealous for they were also magical, but their magic was for good, and not evil.

After the Hawethornes' death, Ava was raised since an infant by André Toulon and taught her magic. As a teen she found good magic from libraries, since she loved to read so much. She was interested in magic, but not like her teacher and the man she thought was her father all this time. She would go to the library that was not too far from her home. There she befriended an older friend. His name was Gold. And older I mean like close to 30 or early 30's. He even was interested in magic also but most animals. He just opened his zoo in town not too long ago. Ava would visit it everyday. She enjoyed hanging out with Gold, he was very kind and sweet than Mr Toulon. He only cared about magic.

Until one day...

"Ava, come quick."

Ava came down to where the old scorcher was. She stopped seeing he had all his puppets out and even holding his favorite, Blade.

"Oh how I dreamt for this day, I found a way to make my beloved children to come to life." André told Ava, "I need souls."

Ava shivered at that statement. Souls? He couldn't be possibly thinking to kill people just to bring his puppets to life.

"I heard a voice came to me the other night, it told me the only way Blade and my children could come to life will be by sacrifices."

"Do you...do you think that's such a good idea, Teacher?" Ava asked.

"Why? Why you sound startled?" André asked.

"I mean...souls? You think killing innocent people will be a good idea?"

Andre chuckled, but it didn't felt reassuring, "oh come now, my dear student, I won't kill innocent people to make them come to life."

Ava was relieved, but then shook her head. Why did she feel he was lying.

After several weeks, while Ava was always hanging out with Gold at his zoo, just so she could stay away from André's work for awhile, she was worrying.

"I just have a horrible feeling he may hurt an innocent soul, just to make them...alive." Ava said, "I'm sure there's other ways to make them come to life, without any dark magic."

"Have you find anything?" Gold asked.

"Just one, but it's erasing their memory for good, but it doesn't seem helpful. They won't have memory if they did anything dark, their personalities will change."

"Well, maybe that could work."

"Yeah, but an innocent soul would be trapped in a doll forever," Ava dropped her head.

Gold placed his hand on her shoulder, "look, I will also help. Whatever it takes, Ava. We're friends."

Ava looked up at him and smiled. She then hugged him, "thanks, Gold."

That night, Ava came home. But there was no sound. Maybe the place was empty, except her black ghost cat Lunapy, "I guess he is out doing spells again, Lunapy. I hope nothing evil."

She walked up the stairs with Lunapy floating behind her. Suddenly she stopped dead in her tracks seeing one of André's puppets standing in the hallway. It looked like the jester. Suddenly she noticed him ducked back in André's room.

"...Teacher?"

André was home. He was in his room with all his puppets that were standing up like a human. Ava shivered seeing this. André then turned to Ava, "Ah! Ava, just in time. Look at my children! Aren't they perfect?"

She looked and the puppets turned their heads slowly at her. Jester, Pinhead, Torch, Six Shooter, Tunnler, and Blade all looking at her sinisterly.

"Teacher, they don't look...friendly."

"Shhh!" André hushed her and pulled her out the room.

He shut the door unaware the ghost cat snuck in and watched the puppets up on a high shelf. They all just stared at the ghost cat.

"Of course they are not. Why would they be, Ava? They are gonna help me get rid of some people that caused me nothing, but trouble!"

"Teacher? All this was just for revenge!? On who!?"

"People that hurt me in the past, my dear student.

Ava was not liking this, "why can't we use magic to help people? In good ways?"

"We are helping, to get rid of the bad people." He reassured her, but she still didn't like it.

André had gotten out of hand. He did do sacrifices to make his puppets come to life and this angered Ava. The puppets were so unaware that they were being used in a sick game. So finally Ava had enough. Only one person that hurt André in his life, that's when she decided to talk to the puppets, they seemed hostile, but with her, they wouldn't harm. They liked and adored her. As if their souls were crying for help to her. She told the puppets what happened and why hey were like this.

"He's just using you for evil doings, he doesn't care about us. I even just found out...he killed my parents."

Blade, Torch, Jester, Pinhead, Tunnler, and Six Shooter looked up at her sadly. They felt sorry for her and even angry the man that gave them life would do this to them. They even called him Papa. That's when Blade thought of something.

André came home, he was getting tired of being an old man and that's when he found magic for immortality. He just had to place his soul in another younger body. Sounds easy. Ava would help him find a young man that he could use. He was going to her room, but she wasn't there, but his puppets.

Something wasn't right in the air. Blade stood infront of him angrily.

Pinhead stood on André's left with Tunnler.

Jester on André's right.

"What's going on here, my sons?" André asked.

Jester was holding something and threw it at him. It was a dagger, but not just an ordinary dagger. It was the one he used on the people he sacrificed on to make the puppets.

"What's...," André's face turned pale and looked back at his creations. They frowned angrily at him. "...Ava!?"

She didn't come. Inside the door opened behind him.

"Child, do some—," André stopped and saw it was a torch before him. He was glaring at him with his red glowing eyes. "Wait," André realized what they were all about to do.

Blade came at him and stabbed the old man at his leg. And Pinhead jumped at him and punched his face. While walking back not seeing he was going, André walked into Tunnler's head. The blade went through his foot and the old man screamed out. He fell on his back and all the puppets, but Torch walked back. Torch then ame forward hold his flamethrower hand.

"Stop," André panicked, "AVA!"

Torch then blasted flames at André's face and the old man screamed out. The puppets all watched as the evil scorcher screamed out in agony . He pushed himself up and ran jumping out of the window. Ava then came in and used a fire extinguisher to take out the fire in her room. She then went outside with the puppets seeing André was now no more. She took the fire out on him and saw he was nothing more of a skeleton.

"I'm sorry I had to let them do this, but you went too far. You stole me from my family...my stole my family from me...you even hurt these innocent souls. You're no man, André Toulon...you're the devil."

After decomposing his body with magic, Ava took her book out and turned to the puppets, "I'm sorry what all when through, but I promise with this spell, you will never remember the past. This will be your new life. You will also have new personalities. You will all be new. You will no longer work for him. But this is all I can do. I can't find a way for you to return to your old lives before he took them from you."

The puppets dropped their heads, but nodded in understanding. Blade then came to her and hugged Ava. As if he was thanking her. Ava smiled and hugged him back. "I'm sorry that I can't bring you back to your old selves, but I hope you enjoy your new lives."

She then held her hands. Violet lights glowed on her hands. She then closed her eyes. The six puppets then noticed the violet lights float towards them and hit their bodies. Their eyes turned from red to violet. And all the dark memories of their lives soon fast rewind in their minds. They were being erased for good.

Gold was in his house tending something's. His ghost dog Zero that he found) was helping him out. He was caught up in his own world when he heard a knock on the door.

Gold walked to the door and opened the door. He noticed a box so he picked it up and saw a note on the box.

When you asked to help, I definitely needed help, but I didn't know what, until now. Will you please watch over them for me? Give them a good home? Care? Love them?
-Ava

Gold brought the box in and opened it once he set it down. It was none other than the puppets she talked about. She even made name tags on them so he knew who they were. He realized now he had an important job. He had to protect them. He had to take care of them.

Gold picked up the box and sighed, "I'm not sure what to do with you, but I promise Ava that I will take care of you all."
