The Adventure Begins
"Would you like to see your son, Mrs. Arlert?" The Doctor asked her as he held a child in his arms. A nurse comes out from behind him carrying another baby. Both were wrapped in blue blankets and had their eyes closed.
Mrs. Arlert opens her eyes up wide as she gasps in surprise. "Twins?!"
The Doctor and the nurse smiled and nodded their heads.
"That's correct," The Doctor said. Mrs. and Mr. Arlert looked at each other with worried faces. "What's wrong?"
The misses looked at him. "We weren't planning on having two children is all. I don't know if we can afford to feed them both, but I'm sure we'll manage," she continues as she takes her children in her arms.
"You had two boys," the nurse told her as she smiled.
Mrs. Arlert held them and smiled warmly at them both. Mr. Arlert got closer so that he could look at his two sons.
"That's great!" He said. "Hey little guys." The two sons opened their eyes to show four sky blue irises. He held his pinkie-finger out to them and he smiled and said, "Wow this one's got a killer grip." One of them had managed to get his arm out of the folds of the blanket.
The Doctor interrupted, "What shall you call them?" The both looked up at the Doctor with concerned looks on their faces. "What's the matter?"
Misses explained, "Well it's just that we didn't really plan their names!"
The Doctor mumbled, "Wow you didn't really plan for anything did you."
"What was that?"
"Oh nothing, I just said 'Wow you didn't really plan for nothing did you!'" They both got "oh" faces on. "Well, I can't let you leave without giving me their names."
They both looked at each other.
"Quick! Did you think of any names?!" Mrs. Arlert yelled at Mr. Arlert.
"No! Did you?"
"No!" They both groaned. Suddenly, she stopped groaning and opened her eyes. The Doctor swore that a light bulb appeared above her head. "I've got it!"
Mr. Arlert looked up. "What is it?"
"Look down at them!" He did. One had their arm out of the blanket while the other one was peaceful and calm and watching. "We'll name this one Armin," she proclaimed while pointing at the calm one. "And we'll name this one Armout!" She pointed at the one with his arm out.
"That's a great idea!" Mr. Arlert agreed.
"Are you serious?" The Doctor mumbled again.
They both said in unison, "What was that?"
"I said that's a lovely idea!" They both smiled like they were geniuses. "Now all that's left is for both of you to sign here and write down their names!"
Of course they both signed and wrote down their names and that's how they became a happy family! YAY! *Plays the sound effect of applause* YOU SHOULD BE CLAPPING.

"We can't keep doing this," Kevin, Mr. Arlert, said. His stomach growled.
"I know," Christina, Mrs. Arlert answered. One of the boys started crying from his crib and she got up to go and comfort him. This one was Armout and you could tell because he was slightly larger than Armin; they both had ended up being identical twins.
"What are we going to do? We can't continue to feed both boys."
Christina nodded sadly as she stared into her baby's eyes. "I know we can't, but giving them up is not an option."
"Christina, we have to!"
She turned around at him with tears in her eyes. Her voice cracked as she said, "I know, but I don't want to." She started to cry. Kevin walked up to her and wrapped her in his arms.
"Hey, shh. Don't worry about it right now. We'll try to last a little bit longer and see how it goes. How's your Dad doing?"
"He's doing fine," she said from within the folds of his shirt. "He's still not willing to help us. Saying that it's our responsibility."
Kevin placed his chin on top of Christina's head. She was kind of short for her age. "Well it is our responsibility. I want to give our sons the best lives that we can, but it's all becoming too much. The MP is after us now and for just the simple information we have. We can try, but I don't think we can last much longer like this."
Christina nodded. "I know. Then. . .does that mean we have to?"
Kevin pulled her away so that he could look at her. "I think it does."
Tears welled up in her eyes as she once again stared at the small child in her arms and kissed his soft forehead.

The rain made a patter-patter sound and sloshing noises as it hit the ground and flowed into drains and formed into puddles. The dark swallowed up the world around her as she walked quickly towards a tall building. She looked up at the sign with her blonde hair turning into a darker shade as it got wet. It read: Ms. Sapple's Fun-Time Orphanage. She cringed in disgust at herself and her actions. This is where she was going to leave her son, huh?
She walked as quickly as she could towards the tall building and to the dry porch. The only lights were these for a very long time. All others had been put out from the storm. She rang the doorbell quickly and placed her son down in the box filled with warm blankets. She pulled out the note she had that read his name Armout on it and put it on top of him. She was careful not to wake him up.
She heard someone shout, "I'm coming!" In an annoyed voice. She knew it was time to leave him.
She whispered into his blankets, "Goodbye, Armout. I love you." The boy continued to slumber on peacefully.
He shuddered a bit and began to cry after she left him. That's when the front door was opened to show a slightly large woman with curlers in her hair. She looked out for a moment before looking down at the baby wrapped in blankets on her door step.
"Oh you poor thing!" She exclaimed once she saw his crying face. "Come here you small little thing!" She lifted him out of the crate and began patting his back soothingly. When she did, the note containing the boy's real name on it floated down to the bottom. "What's this?" She picked it up and read it. "Armout?" She stared at the boy. "Is that your name?" His crying slowed and she bounced him a little bit. "Well come on Armout. Let's get you to bed."
She shut the door behind her and changed the boy's fate forever.

"Armin? Why don't you go try and make some friends!" Christina whined at her young son. He was sitting on their porch outside their home watching the other children play games and have fun.
"None of them want to be my friend," he sulked.
She took a sit down next to him. "Oh, that's not true," she countered. "How do you know? Have you experimented?"
Armin nodded. "I made a hypothesis and then it came true."
"And what would that be?"
"If you mess up once, it's never forgiven."
"What could you have possibly done that made the other kids not like you?" Armin was such a sweet kid, it was hard for anyone to believe that he'd be hated.
He looked down. "I- I said I wanted to go to the outside world." He waited for her response. He was supposed to never speak about the outside world away from home. It was a closely guarded secret of his family, but everyone else was talking about what they wanted to do when they got older and so he just said it without much thought.
"Armin, I'm not too mad at you," she said in a calm voice. However, there was an upset undertone and Armin could hear it. He was overly perceptive.
"Yes you are."
"No, I'm not. I may be a little bit mad, but I'm not going to do anything. Okay? Nod your head okay." Armin nodded his head. "Good. Now, go out there and make some friends." She looked around and spotted another lonely kid with brown hair and some emerald eyes. "Why don't you go play with him? I'm sure you'd get along." She pointed at the kid she had just been looking at.
Armin sighed, giving in to his mother's orders. "Fine."
She smiled at him as he stood up and began walking over to where he was sitting. Christina was suddenly reminded about her other son. She wondered if he was having a good life or if she'd just screwed it up.
Armout, she thought. I love you.
Armin suddenly stopped in his tracks and stared. This kid looked like he was upset and didn't really want to play. He himself just wanted to go back in his room and try to read something. Reading was hard and he enjoyed it. His favorite was this book about the outside world. It spoke of wonderful things that he'd love to go see.
The boy realized that Armin was staring at him. He said, "Hello? Do you need something?"
Armin shook himself out of his trance, now fully aware that his mother was probably watching him. "Oh um. . .nothing."
The boy narrowed his eyes, "I think you're lying."
Armin looked down so that his eyes wouldn't give him away. "Why would you think that?"
"Because nobody stares at somebody unless they have a purpose." He stood up and walked closer to Armin. When Armin looked up he saw the boy smiling widely as he held out his hand and saying, "Hi I'm Eren Jaeger! What's your name?"
Armin breathed in with surprise. This kid wanted to know his name? "I'm Armin Arlert," he said shyly as he shook Eren's hand.
"Nice to meet you, Armin. Was there any real reason that you were staring at me?"
"I- I noticed you were lonely," he lied.
Eren let go of Armin's hand and looked down in sadness. "Yeah. None of them are real nice to me."
"I can relate," Armin said in an understanding tone.
"What does relate mean?" Eren asked.
"Oh, well it means that I can understand how you feel; I know what you're going through."
Eren smiled as he said, "Oh." Things were getting a little bit awkward when Eren asked, "Why do the kids not like you?"
"Well," he began, a bit worried that Eren would dislike him too. "I- I talked about outside the walls."
Eren's eyes lit up. "You did?! That's really cool! What were you saying?!"
Armin was surprised. "You- You think it's cool?"
"Yeah! I mean, I don't like the thought of just staying in here for my whole life. I wanna join the Scouts so that I can go outside the walls too!"
Armin suddenly got an idea. "Hey!"
"Hm?"
"I have a big book on everything outside the walls! Wanna come look at it with me?"
Eren's eyes and face lit up with excitement. "Yeah!"
The two boys smiled as they both ran back to Armin's house, both happy that they'd finally found a friend.

"Armout! Go sit in the box!" The Demon shouted at Armout.
Armout didn't like being told what to do. He yelled, "Why, Hag? Does my awesomeness upset you?"
She let out a growl. "Go because I told you to!"
"Oh yeah I'm sure the fact that I caught you and Mr. Scott kissing has nothing to do with it!" Armout crossed his arms over his chest, put a defiant look on his face, and rolled his eyes at her. He was succeeding at making The Demon ready to explode from frustration.
She said in a dangerously calm voice, "Go in the box. Now." She pointed at huge crate with the word prison carved into the wood.
Armout shut his eyes and held his ground. "If I have to go in the box then I'm shouting rape."
She moved closer to him as she growled, "Don't you freaking dare!"
"RAAAAAAPPPPPEEEEE! AH SOMEBODY HELP ME! THE DEMON IS-," he was cut off by his caregiver clamping her hand over his mouth.
She said in the same tone as before, "If you keep doing that, I'll make sure that you never get adopted. Got that, brat?"
Armout did his best to keep himself from rolling his eyes as he nodded his head yes, eager to get her sweaty hand away from his lips. She wasn't letting go fast enough so he wiggled his tongue out of his mouth and licked her hand.
"Disgusting!"She shouted as Armout took his chance and ran. "Get back here you little brat!"
"NO!" He screamed and laughed at her as he ran away. He only had some jeans on and when he finally made it to the door, he slammed it behind him to give him a head start. He heard a satisfying thump as The Demon, who's real name was Ms. Angel, hit the door. He searched around for a signal, a sign, anything that told him it was a good hiding place.
As he rounded a corner, a door from the storm cellar opened up and his friend Savannah popped out her little head and shouted, "Armout! In here!" She moved away from the opening so that he could jump in while holding the handle and shutting the door behind him.
He breathed heavily as Savannah relighted some of the candles that Armout had blown away from closing the door too quickly. They both quickly put their ears to the door and waited for Ms. Angel the Demon to run past. Soon after, they heard heavy breathing and the sound of grass being stepped on.
"You can almost hear all the souls she's stepping on," Armout remarked slyly as she passed by. "Eh, Savannah?" He took his ear fully away from the door so that he could look at her still trying to light the last candle. He saw that she was struggling and went over to help. "Here let me do it," he said as he took the other candle away from her. He held the other candle there for about five seconds before he took it away. The candle stayed alight as Savannah looked at it with wonder.
Savannah's short and messy brown hair grew lighter as the flames illuminated her features. Her brown eyes had the fire in them as she continued to stare and she smiled. She had a slightly pudgy face still. She sighed and looked at him. Noting the scratches he had on his arms. She twirled her finger telling him to turn around so that she could see his back. She gave a disapproving look after she saw the giant scratch down his back.
"Does it sting?" She asked him with concern.
"Lots," he sighed.
"Stay still then." She turned around and came back with antiseptic and a small white cloth.
Armout's eyes widened. "Oh no! Please you don't have to do that! That crap stings!"
"Well if you don't like it then stop getting so many scratches!" She shouted at him. "Now sit still! If you keep yelling then we'll be discovered and we'll lose another good hiding spot."
Armout sighed. "Fine." He winced and whimpered as she dabbed away at the bloody scratch. "Ow ow ow ow ow ow," he repeated.
"Oh man up," she told him as she slapped his back. Armout jumped almost half a foot in the air.
"What the hell was that for?!"
She smirked. "You're all good. Besides, that wouldn't have hurt a real man."
"Eh shut up."
"Nope!"
"Yes!"
"Nope!"
"Yes!"
She smirked. "Just give up now, because I could do this all day."
"Well so can I!"
"No you can't!"
"Yes I can!" She was about to yell back when he clamped his hand over her mouth. "Shh," he whispered. "I thought I heard footsteps."
Savannah nodded and Armout let her go.
"Sorry about that," she apologized while smiling sheepishly.
"Don't worry yourself," Armout said with a similar smile.
She suddenly dropped the smile giving Armout an awful feeling in his gut. She sat down on one of the stairs and folded her hands in lap while looking down. Her sad demeanor was making Armout worried.
"There's another reason other than just saving your ass that I called you down here."
"Oh? What would that be?"
After a ten second pause she said sadly, "I'm being adopted."
Armout was confused. Being adopted was what both of them had been waiting for during their whole time being there. He realized that if she was adopted then she was leaving and Armout wouldn't be able to see her anymore. He was upset, but he needed to stay positive for Savannah's sake.
He gave her a smile and lifted her head up. "Well, that's great isn't it? I mean, it's what we've always wanted, right?"
Tears welled up in her eyes as she spoke. "I know it's what we've been waiting for, but I have you now and I don't really need a mommy and a daddy anymore. You're my family."
Armout was extremely touched. "You're my family too, and as much as I am sad that somebody from my family's leaving me, I'm happy for you! I'm sure that you'll like them and make new friends wherever they live. It'll be just as you dreamed. I'm sure of it."
"How do you know?"
"Because I work part-time as a psychic." She giggled. "No, but seriously. It'll be okay; I promise." He hugged her tightly.
She breathed, "Thank you, Armout."
"No problem," and he hugged her tighter. "Hey? When are you leaving?"
"By the end of today. They're coming to pick me up. I don't know their names or what they look like, just that they've been wanting a child for a while."
"If they want children then they'll like you. I can't believe I won't see you again after today," Armout admitted. "Write to me?"
"Of course, but are you sure that you can read the letters?" She joked.
"Of course I can read them! That was one time and I only stammered!"
"Okay, okay I get it."
"Do you have to get packing now?" He asked sadly. She nodded her head. He said, "In the year 845, Savannah Hoffman has finally been adopted."
"Yep time to have some new adventures."
She smiled slightly as she reached up and opened the cellar door to let tons of sunlight in. She poked her little head up to check to see that the coast was clear after their eyes had adjusted and gave him a thumbs up. They both climbed out and shut the door quietly then raced to the front door. Savannah won.

"Armout, get inside the box!" The Demon roared at him.
He looked at her glumly. He said, "I don't even care anymore about living to tell Ms. Sapple that you're having an affair with her boyfriend. I'll just go in the box anyways." What he didn't add was that he wanted to live to receive Savannah's letters.
Ms. Angel let out a small "humph" as he stood there and allowed her to set the upside down crate on top of him. "Hopefully this will teach you not to walk into people's rooms without knocking." She smiled at him evilly and walked out of the room with a kick in her step.
Things like this had been happening more often. He didn't really have many friends besides Savannah and when she moved away, he was suddenly reminded of the number of people that didn't like him. He got teased because of his name constantly and he wished that he could somehow tear the name off of him and stick it on somebody else, so that they would leave him alone. This orphanage was cruel.
He stopped acting up and the only thing that he regularly did was annoy The Demon Ms. Angel by randomly opening her door without knocking. 9 out of 10 times he caught her making-out with Mr. Scott. He hated the man. He would see him acting nice and cuddly with Ms. Angel then see him act and say the same things to Ms. Sapple. It seemed wrong to him. He decided right then that he was going to tell her first thing when he gets out of this box.
Armout was blissfully ignorant to the fate that was about to take place. Today was the day that humanity received the grim reminder.
The first thing he noticed was the quiet. Everything was silent as if in waiting. The world had been put on hold. Waiting for what, though? Armout's ears flickered as he listened and waited along with the rest of humanity. Then it was interrupted by the sound of booms and crashes. The sound of people's screams and the sound of falling buildings. The most noticeable was the sound of lives being broken, torn, and played with as if they were a child's toy.
Armout grew panicked. He was stuck in this crate with no way out and something was wrong. Something that definitely affected him. He needed to get out, but how? This crate was too heavy for him to lift. His thoughts were interrupted by a giant rock smashing through ceiling and shattering the windows. The sickening sound of bones being smashed and people dying filled his ears. He was completely trapped. There wasn't any room to even get the crate off of him even if he did have the strength.
There was a small slot between the boulder and the door to the outside (the crate was located in the corner of the room on the same side as the door). Armout could've easily slipped through it with his small and skinny form had he not been trapped underneath a crate. He did the only thing he could do in his situation. He screamed. He screamed and yelled as loud and as long as he could while his voice grew ever hoarser.
He rattled the bars as he screamed the same message over and over again. He screamed, "HELP! PLEASE I'M TRAPPED SOMEBODY HELP ME!" He stopped to catch his breath for a moment and saw a soldier running past with blonde hair and a boy over his shoulder. That soldier was his last chance. He screamed again, "WAIT PLEASE HELP ME, PLEASE!" It was no use. The soldier trekked on without even acknowledging Armout's pleas.
Tears flowed out of his eyes and down his face as he realized his hopeless situation. He was going to die there. He was going to die at the age of only 10, because The Demon trapped him and condemned him to death. Ms. Angel had basically killed him. She was dead now. She got her punishment. She gets to go rot in the "crate" of Hell.
No! He screamed at himself. This is not where I die! I still have so many adventures to have! So many people to meet and places to see! I WILL NOT DIE!
He raised his fist high above his head and brought it down to the crate. It didn't damage the wood at all, but it sure did a number on his hand. He wouldn't give up though. He punched it again, and again, and again, and again! Blood poured from his knuckles and he had several splinters, but he had to keep going. He punched again and this time he cracked the wood. He looked up in hope and finally pushed with all of his might and broke the wood.
He tore his way out of the box with bloodied knuckles, but an undamaged spirit. He broke through the box and shimmied his way between the boulder and the wall. He also remarked on how he was literally in between a rock and a hard place. He finally reached freedom and then he froze. He saw a giant humanoid figure standing right outside his door with blood dripping from its mouth, a creepy and disturbing smile plastered on its face.
Armout stood and stared in fear and horror. This must be what they called a titan. He couldn't move as its giant hand reached down and roughly grabbed him and picked him up. He suddenly found his voice and started screaming at the top of his lungs. "AHHHHHHH!" The next thing he knew he was falling. Something flew up behind the titan and he guessed was what caused the slicing sound he heard a second later.
He hit the ground hard. He heard something crack and it wasn't pleasant, bringing along a wave of pain.
"Stay with me, kid!" A rough, feminine voice yelled at him.
Armout tried to respond, but found that he couldn't. He felt so tired and weak. He just wanted to sleep.
His last thought before blacking out was, I wish I could've gone on a different adventure.
