Time to Start the Family
"Agh, sorry, jagi. I'm dry" Yoongi rolled on his back next to you feeling completely spent.
You propped yourself up on your forearms and looked down at him with a pitiful pout.
"Just give me a few hours" he muttered reluctantly and you gave him a little peck.
Now that the band's contract was over and Yoongi became a producer for HYBE instead, you were finally forming a family.
You had stopped taking your birth control and started tracking your monthly cycle to figure out what your most fertile periods were.
Ever since you'd been trying to conceive to no avail. Yoongi never thought he'd think this way, but he was so sick of having sex.
It felt like a chore now. Like your love making was scheduled and it didn't matter whether you two were in the mood or not, you had to get to it.
Of course he had felt like it several times, but it got old fast when it was so frequent. Sometimes he had just been so frustrated he couldn't even get hard.
He couldn't help but feel embarrassed. You tried to reassure him it was alright and normal due to how often you were intimate, but he felt guilty knowing every day counted and he couldn't always provide.
It certainly didn't help that his parents and yours were anxiously awaiting to have grandchildren. You were an only child and his brother had a kid already, but they wanted his now.
The idea that they knew you were having sex every waking hour just made him cringe. But he tried to shake it off and ignore the pressure on that side. He had enough worrying about you.
This week happened to be your fertile window, so you had to make sure to make the most out of it. You were both sore and tired of it, but you had no choice. He hated it after all these 9 months.
Yoongi worried you'd have to start the tests soon. To see if there was something wrong with you or him. What if he was weak? What if you were hostile?
He was really worried the root of the problem was not your lack of trying. That there was something that would complicate things significantly or that couldn't be made better at all.
It was Friday afternoon when you barged in the Genius Lab unannounced. You knew Yoongi's code, but you would usually let him know you were coming.
He glared at you annoyed when you interrupted him. There were two other people in the room with him, going over his work.
"Excuse me, this is my wife" he introduced you and walked up to you hurriedly piercing you with his eyes. You walked out of the lab briefly and talked in the hallway.
"Yoongi!" you exclaimed excitedly and he looked at you unamused. This was not the time.
"What are you doing here? I'm kind of busy if you couldn't tell. You could have at least messaged me or even called before just walking in like that" he whisper-shouted harshly clearly irritated by the intrusion.
"I've been throwing up all day" you announced with a bright smile and his angry expression softened.
"What the hell? Why are you here? You should have gone straight to the hospital to be seen by a doctor!" he scolded you now concerned about your being sick.
"No, you don't understand!" you insisted hoping he'd get what you were trying to tell him.
"Do you need a car from the company to take you there? I can't" he explained himself still thinking you were here for a reason.
"I feel horrid, it's great!" you continued with the happy-go-lucky attitude and he was thoroughly confused.
"Jagi, do you have a fever too?" Yoongi pressed the back of his hand to your forehead. You were not making any sense. "I don't think I've gone that hard, your brains should be intact" he joked not knowing what else to say.
"No, you genius" you said annoyed and shoved something in his hand.
Yoongi uncurled his fingers from around it slowly knowing exactly what he was holding. He was all too familiar with it by now, after countless times of you showing him your failed attempts.
He held it up to his face squinting his eyes and moving it back and forth trying to adjust the focus. Such a grandpa move, but his sight was not much better nowadays.
Yoongi gawked at the two little red lines, his jaw went slack. But he tried to keep his composure.
"Are you sure this is right?" he asked warily, hoping you hadn't got your hopes up. It had happened before and you had cried your eyes out in his arms. He didn't want more of that heartbreak.
You opened your purse and started pulling out every brand of pregnancy test you could get your hands on. He took them one by one and analyzed them.
Blue line.
Blue cross.
Yes.
Positive.
Pregnant.
His eyes were fixed on the last test he was holding. You were having a baby, for real this time. You had done it! He needed a moment to gather his thoughts.
"Yoongi?" you looked at his blank stare with knitted eyebrows. He played with his earring and you recognized his nervous habit. "I-is everything alright?" you knew he wanted this too, or so you thought.
"Jagi, I-" he was speechless, over the moon that it had finally worked, relieved that there was nothing wrong with one or both of you. He was so tired and so sore and he was glad the effort paid off.
Yoongi pulled you close in a hug. "We are going to be parents, jagi" he whispered in your ear with a tone of amazement.
He started sniffling and tears welled up in your eyes at the sound. At your jaw trembling against his chest, he held you tighter and you automatically rubbed his back offering comfort as well.
"J-just let me finish with these two people and I'll take you to the hospital to have you checked. Okay? Okay" he told you and answered himself.
He pulled back, wiping his sweaty hands against the front of his thighs. Yoongi was all nervous and you pressed your lips together trying not to chuckle at the cuteness.
"Okay, I'll just sit at the lounge"
He turned around and went to open his door, but stopped with his hand hovering over the keypad. He whipped back to face you once more.
"Wait, do we need an appointment? Call your doctor in the meantime" he asked with wide eyes as he went through his racing thoughts, not really looking at you.
"I have already, he said I could come in as soon as I could. He knows how much we've been looking for this and he said he didn't mind"
"Oh" is all he could utter and turned back around.
"Maybe stay at our resting area, there's a private bathroom in there. In case you get sick again, I don't want you running across the hallways to get to the public one"
With this he took your hand and walked briskly down the hallway to another door. He punched in another code and walked in after you.
"Alright, this is it. I don't think I'll need more than ten minutes, jagi" he leaned down to kiss your forehead, but before his lips could touch it, you turned around hastily. Making a beeline for the door you figured was the bathroom.
"On the left!" Yoongi chuckled informing you before you walked in the little kitchen. "Are you gonna be okay?" he asked from the door.
"Go!" you spat out pushing the door open and slamming it closed without another word.
