As you follow Gloom, you notice that everyone's silent. Gloom stops to look around.

You look over to your friends and see that Jason is gone and Kimberly is on the ground not moving.

Running to Kimberly was the first thing on your mind. When you get to her, the part of her shirt right above her heart is green. It was starting to spread slowly.

"Ambush!" you hear Gloom's voice. Green and brown creatures started jumping down from cliffs, trees, and even clouds.

A green and brown figure lands in front of you. It's Jason. You gasp as Jason flings himself on top of you. A blast if red light huts him in the chest and he falls off of you.

You see Gloom running toward you. When he reaches you he looks at Kimberly and says, "She's been infected. In order to heal her we must go to that mountain." He points at a large gray mountain.

A girl launches herself at you. Gloom tackles her before you can realize what's happening. Gloom cries out in agony and blasts her with a ray of red light. His right hand has a knife in it. Gloom pulls it out revealing green and blood.

"Run!" he shouts, "And take Kimberly with you!"

Take Kimberly, go to chapter 2.

Take Gloom, go to chapter 17.

Stay, go to chapter 24.
