I'm the first to jump down. I land in the dark cavern.

"Flynn? Flynn?!" I call out.

Where is he? He couldn't have gone far. I hear someone drop down next to me. The spark of a flame illuminates the cave. Flynn stands there with a torch in his hands.

"Why did you get yourselves stuck down here with me?" He asks

"We came down here to save you. I guess we shouldn't have," Marina replies.

"Let's just find a way out," he says.

Four paths are ahead.

"Any ideas on which one to take?" Valor asks.

"Let's try them all," I say.

We start heading down the one all the way to the right. I stop when I see a group of elves sitting around a campfire.

"Hey, we need some help getting out of here," I say as I approach them.

One of them stands up. He's a couple of inches taller than me. He is right in front of me.

"Can you help us?" I ask.

The other elves stand up. They unsheathe their weapons. Valor places a hand on my shoulder.

"Luna, let's go," he says.

I step back and turn around. More elves are behind us. They hiss at us. Their eyes turn black. They aren't people...they're Stalkers. Stalkers are evil shapeshifting spirits. They shift into the last person they killed and drank blood from.

Valor steps in front of us. I charge at one of the Stalkers. I bring my sword down. The creature grabs the sword and won't let go. Marina grabs an axe. She chops the hands off the Stalker. Valor is usually the best warrior in the room, but he's having a really hard time. I'm afraid the intensity of this trip is getting to him.

Flynn is surprisingly doing much better than all of us. He takes out one Stalker after another. Another one of them comes after me. He leaps towards me slashing his claws. I try my best to dodge yet he still cuts me. I wipe the blood from the slash marks on my face.

"Luna, are you okay?" Hazel asks.

"I'm fine," I say before slitting the Stalker's throat. I look around the place. I don't see anymore.

"I think I see an exit this way," Hazel says.

We follow her to the back of the cave. A narrow passageway leads outside. It's going to be a tight fit. Hazel is the first to squeeze through.

"Do you think you can fit?" I ask Valor.

"I don't know. I'll find another way if I have to," he replies.

I push through the exit. The walls of the cave seem to close in on me as I move forward. I make it out gasping for air. That was extremely uncomfortable. A loud crash with debris flying past my head startles me. I look back to see Valor smashed through the cave walls.

"Damn, if only you could bring that energy into battle," Flynn says.

Don't engage with the idiot...just ignore him.

"Don't criticize my strength in battle when you ran away like a little girl," Valor snaps back.

We continue on with our journey. A gap between the glacier we are on and a cliff stops us. Hazel leaps over with ease. The others do the same. I step back to get a running start. I sprint forward before leaping through the air. I come up short on the jump. I grab onto the edge of the cliff. I try my best to pull myself up, but I just don't have that kind of strength. My hands begin to slip.

"Help!" I cry out to the others.

Flynn grabs my hand. He looks back. When he turns to me there is a glint of hesitation in his eyes.

"Flynn? Are you going to help me up?" I ask.

He loosens his grip on my arm causing me to slide down.

"I'll pull you up...if I get your share of what we find," he says.

"What?" I yell.

He loosens his grip even more. I'm barely holding on now.

"No, no, no, please don't do this!" I beg him.

Tears begin to form in my eyes.

"Do we have a deal?" He asks.

I won't let this rich brat be the death of me!

"Fine!" I lie to him.

He pulls me up. I kneel on the ground trying to catch my breath. The others have their backs turned to me. They didn't witness anything that just happened. I spin around and grab Flynn by the collar of his tunic. He screams like a coward. Everyone else turns around.

"Luna, what the hell are you doing?" Marina asks.

"This coward dangled me over the edge of the cliff threatening to drop me if I didn't hand over my share of the treasure to him," I reply.

"That's a lie!" Flynn yells.

I push him back to the edge of the cliff.

"Luna, don't do this!" Flynn pleads.

"Even if he did do that you shouldn't kill him," Valor says.

All three of them start yelling their opinions at me. I pull Flynn away from the cliff and toss him aside. I draw my sword, pressing it against his neck.

"Look at me and listen carefully. This is the only warning you get. Stay away from us. If you want to keep traveling to this cave you can...by yourself. You are no longer a part of this group. If I ever see you again I will kill you. No amount of begging and pleading will change that. Now get out of my sight," I tell him.

"But-" he begins to speak.

"Enough! Go!" I scream.

He gets up before stumbling away. Marina and Hazel look at me with fear in their eyes. Valor is the only one who isn't afraid of me. I sheathe my sword. Marina and Hazel ease up, but only a little.

I move forward. They follow along. One way or another we would've cut ties with Flynn. The only question is how will we fare now that there are only four of us?
