Instead the two sat on the cold wood floor a couple feet away from each other. Jungkook honestly didn't know why he had blurted the lie, he didn't feel that way for Taehyung. Now he wished he hadn't. Namjoon kind of already knew, he didn't really care if Jimin knew, and Taehyung.....he finally felt as if something was going to happen. He felt progress.So now that they were alone again, and after finally working up the courage Jungkook breathed indecisively "By the way Taehyung.....I didn't really mean what I said..."."What you said?" Taehyung questioned. Taehyung knew what Jungkook was talking about though. He knew in a heartbeat. He just wanted to hear Jungkook say it out loud."Well....", Jungkook hesitated. "Its just I do....feel something more...for you than friendship".Jungkook took a long pause. Was he coming off to strong? Did this sound like a confession? Jungkook wasn't completely sure, but he began to panic thinking that his feelings wouldn't be returned."Well...I...mean." Jungkook stuttered.He paused"It's just that..."Silence again. What could he say? What else could he possibly say?"I love you.....your....your personality! Yeah! I am am just trying to say that I feel we have a special bond!".Jungkooks smiled at his chosen words. He wasn't to direct in saying his feelings, and at the same time he didn't dismiss anything else.Taehyung on the other hand was not as happy as Jungkook. He hoped Jungkook would come out and say it. Say he had romantic feelings for him. All of a sudden Taehyung got an idea."Hey Jungkook, do you want to do something together this afternoon? Maybe.....we could go out to eat or something like that....?" Taehyung thought that maybe if they just spent more time together that....he could get Jungkook to say how he really felt.Jungkook was about to accept, but just then he remembered. He had an audition. Smile fading to a slight pout Jungkook answered "Um....I can't...."."Oh...", Taehyung murmured. "Well, that's fine.....", he continued. Taehyung felt heartbroken. He could tell that Jungkook just said he couldn't because...he didn't feel that way for him. A stiffened silence passed. Taehyung felt so close to something happening. All last night...he actually started to think that maybe Jungkook felt the same way, but of course, first Jungkook dismissed any ideas he had, and even said 'he didn't feel that way for Taehyung'. And now he knew what he was doing. Taehyung was pretty sure Jungkook had an idea about how he felt for him, and was trying to 'make him feel better'. That was probably why he declined his offer.Jungkook however felt torn inside. He wanted to spend the rest of the day with Taehyung more than anything, but he really had to go to his audition. Just as Jungkook was about to tell Taehyung the reason he couldn't hangout, Taehyung stood up while he icely said "I'm going to go in the kitchen". Quickly he walked off before Jungkook could respond.Poor Jungkook was confused. He had practically just told Taehyung how he felt....in a subtle way, and now he was acting distant again? Did that mean....Taehyung didn't feel the same way. Then again he did turn down Taehyung's offer to hangout, but they could spend any day together. Taehyung wouldn't act cold because of that.As Taehyung entered the small kitchen, both Jimin and Namjoons gaze shot up watching Taehyung."Uh..Hi Taehyung", Jimin chirped. Not answering, Taehyung seemed to be lost in his thoughts. Then -by chance- Taehyung's phone started to ring. Surprised Taehyung pulled it out as he walked outside. So he would be out of hearing range of everyone.Soon Taehyung found out it was his manager who was calling. Taehyung was only half listening, but then his manager asked "OK, Taehyung I know you turned down this audition, but I really think being the lead hero in an action movie would be good for your image, it is this afternoon. Are you sure you can't make it?".Sighing Taehyung didn't really want to be in an action movie, but he wasn't doing anything that afternoon, so why not?"OK....I guess I'll come", Taehyung sighed."Perfect! Let me know the results. Bye!", his manager ended as he hung up. Taehyung didn't really want to go to this audition, he wanted to be with Jungkook.Walking back inside Taehyung decided even though it was early he probably should head back to his apartment, to get ready for the audition.Going into the kitchen first Taehyung announced "Hey Guys, just to let you know I'm gonna head out.""Why? It's still early", Jimin asked."Well I have something to go to", Taehyung sighed as he waved goodbye to the two of them. As he passed by Jungkook in the living room he mumbled "Bye Jungkook".Confused Jungkook stuttered "Bye? Are you leaving Taehyung?".Nodding Taehyung headed out the door, leaving a surprised Jungkook. Quickly Jungkook wondered to himself: Why was Taehyung leaving so early?As Taehyung was opening his car door, Jungkook made a rash decision. Running out to Taehyung right before he entered the car he breathed "Wait! Taehyung don't go yet!".Shocked by Jungkooks burst Taehyung leaned against his car as he saw Jungkook look at him.Approaching Taehyung, Jungkook with a serious face grabbed both of Taehyung's hands as he mumbled "Taehyung..... I just want to say that......", pausing Jungkook took a deep breath. "Well.....it's just that....I...do--". Jungkook couldn't finish, he couldn't tell Taehyung how he felt. But he knew he could at least show him how he felt. Leaning forward, surprising Taehyung, Jungkook was just about to put Taehyung at ease, and finally establish what he had been trying to get at for the last day.Seeing Jungkook move closer and closer to his face Taehyung felt himself stiffen against the car, but as there lips were almost touching he felt himself relaxJust as Jungkook was about to move not even one centimeter closer he heard a voice, coming from behind him."See I told you Namjoon!".Turning his head around he saw Jimin and Namjoon looking through the small window smiling.Letting go of Taehyung's hands, and taking a step back Jungkook sighed "Um...nevermind....sorry about that Taehyung...I'll see you soon hopefully". Walking back into the cabin Jungkook left Taehyung alone. Taehyung wasn't exactly sure what just happened. He was more confused than ever. Was Jungkook just about to kiss him? It really did seem like it, and when Jungkooks hand grabbed his hands....he knew something was about to happen.Face flushed, Taehyung thought about staying for a little longer, but now he knew he needed some time alone to think. He just wished that whatever Jungkook was trying to say...or do would be clearer. But even if Jungkook was about to kiss him, he still backed away last second.....for some reason Taehyung didn't know. The past day Taehyung had been jumping to different conclusions, and now more than ever he just wanted everything to be clearer. Finally Taehyung hesitantly drove off.Jungkook, currently, too was confused. He didn't abandon the attempt to kiss Taehyung because of Namjoon and Jimin watching. That did make it harder, but Jungkook was nervous. He just wished that he didn't have the audition, then he could've accepted Taehyung's offer to go out to eat.If only there was a way for them to have an excuse to be together.
