FIRST PLACE

Book: My Virtual Darcy

Review: First of all, the plot of this story is AMAZING! I have started reading Pride and Prejudice a while back and the way you have begun incorporating it into this story within a sci-fi setting is amazing! Vocabulary is well diverse as I could picture that small little things from the foods to the clothes described. I am definitely going to be adding this to my reading list! Grammar is spot on and the one reason I took a point off from that is usually when people write in the first person, they also write in the present tense. It sometimes sounds awkward when its past tense as that usually happens when the author writes in the third person. The length of the chapters are perfect in my opinion. One thing I want to point out is your blurb? Maybe add a bit more to it. Now your blurb definitely gets the point across in purpose of what the story is going to entail however if this book were to one day get published, readers will want to know more about what the book is about before diving in! Maybe add a description of the world Leah lives in or the start of how these VR glasses were gifted to her. Of course, it's all up to you! But overall, amazing job and I will definitely continue reading this!!!

Review: The cover is beautiful! Simple but elegeant, just like the setting of the story. Blurb is fantastic and gives just enough informationt to hook the reader and outlines the layout of the novel. Vocabulary, I envy you xD It's amazing and definitely gives that visualization aspect for the reader. The ideas are most definitely not cliche and very original with each character having their own unique and thoughout personality. I love your writing style as the paragraphs are not too long or too short. Somethings I want to point out is grammar. One being that for quotations it is common to use " rather than ' for professionalism and usually ' tends to be used for thoughts running through the characters mind. Another thing is repetition, something commonly done and so to fix that, it usually helps to read the work out loud to get a sense of how the reader would be seeing your work. Overall, well done and keep writing!!

Review: The book has a very strong start with the appealing cover and equally intriguing blurb! The story is quite catchy and intriguing as it explores the progressing plot while also giving us details of the characters, of secrets and of how things work. Each chapter leaves us intrigued to know more, heightening curiosity more than the last! It's quite a start seeing the contrasts between siblings and the unique tough system going on in this alternate world. A fantastic read!

Review: Starting off with a good cover and blurb the book is fairly inviting! The cover and blurb do seem a bit ordinary but the as we dive into the book it would be no lie, that the actual story is far more interesting. The comfortable pace, steady progression of story without much extra or seemingly unneeded content is fantastic and easy on the reader! I loved how the characters were introduced and developed with a successful implementation of "show and not tell" it's quite a delight really! An immersive and grasping read keeping us excited as old friends meet and tackle a newer mission!

Review: Honestly, I'm adding this book to my reading list! The way everything flows just has my attention and because you did not rush into putting them to Mars and whatnot, it keeps the mystery flowing. I love it! Well done!!

Review: This book has definitely an interesting plot and is the type I enjoy reading when it comes to science fiction. I love the cover! It's beautiful and definitely portrays the message of the story let alone what it is about. A few things to point out are the run-on sentences (too long and would be nice to make them a bit shorter rather than using so many commas) as well as the professionalism of the characters. Review: The cover and blurb are good but simple, a bit more work on them can definitely make them even better! It's particularly wonderful how quickly the story grabs attention and keeps the reader interested as Phoenix falls and seems to step into a newer world! The development is a nice and tidy one with newer information about the plot being revealed seamlessly, though it would be appreciable if the chapter length would be a tad bit longer! A enjoyable story!
