Six Years Later
Angel sliced her sword towards the other sword without blinking. Jake grinned as his sword was knocked out of his hand.
"That's ten to nought. I give up," His German accent came out as he spoke and he looked annoyed. "I hate my accent sometimes." Angel grinned, sheaving Glass.
"At least you don't have a Belfast accent. I talk far too fast for anyone to understand me," Angel noticed the confusion on his face. "I talked too fast again?" He nodded and Angel handed him his sword. "I said at least you don't have my accent, Jake." Angel said slowly and the weapons master, Mr Blackmore walked over.
"Good work, Miss Ravenwood...Mr Everfyre, not good work," Jake gave him a dirty look and Mr Blackmore handed Angel a piece of paper. "Mr Riveria wants to see you...Something about a lily." Angel read the paper, feeling her world tilt...She's coming, Castiel. Angel ran, ignoring whoever was calling after her as she headed for Mateo's office. Mateo had the door open, waiting for her.
"Hello, Angel. Sit down and close the door," Angel did, being the ever disciplined Hunter and waited. "Lily sent me a message this morning...She's coming here to the Academy with Tom to protect you...Mark has refused to come on the grounds that a Catholic Hunter has to keep the peace in Belfast." Angel put her face in her hands, breathing heavily.
"He's going to die first," Angel wasn't going to cry, she was stronger than this...She was her own anchor. "I think we should warn everyone in the Academy. A Greater demon...The First Demon is coming here. We have to warn them." Mateo took Angel's hands from her face.
"I've sent a message to Ms Peneye, she's telling everyone at dinner," Angel sighed, nodding. "You should warn your friends...They might get hurt." Angel nodded again and looked at the closed door.
"They'll get involved to protect me...I can't lose them too," Angel never told her friends what happened to her parents, only that they died. "I'm going to go tell them now...I hope you take care of yourself, Mateo. Just in case." Angel left Mateo's office and went to the girls' bathroom. She stood in front of the sink, taking deep breaths before crying and sat on the ground. Angel knew she needed to be her own anchor but...It was better to cry before it happened than when it happened.
"Are you okay?" Angel wiped her eyes and looked at Laurie. "Angel, are you okay? Tell me...Please?" Angel sniffed loudly.
"My uncle's going to die and there's nothing I can do about it," Angel knew Laurie was confused. "Can you get the others to meet us at the training grounds? I'll explain there...It involves my parents." Laurie blinked and nodded, sending them a flame note.
"Let's go...Can you tell me now...Please?" Angel steadied herself but couldn't tell her. "You're my friend, tell me so it'll be easier to tell them." Angel swallowed, forcing herself to speak.
"I told you, my parents were killed by a random demon...But that was a lie," Angel took her hair out of its bauble and shook it out. "They were killed by the Lady of Edom...The First Demon...Adam's first wife. She's coming here to kill me and everyone who protects me...Including my uncle." Laurie stopped, making Angel stop.
"You're going to tell us to let you die?" Angel shook her head, touching Glass. "You have a plan?" Angel smiled.
"Yes, I have a bloody plan. The night the First Demon killed my parents, she visited me in my dreams," She pointed at Glass. "In the dream, I tried to get Glass to hurt her and she grabbed it...It burned her. Glass can hurt her so I can hurt her." Laurie frowned.
"You're going to tell us that you are going head to head with Lilith?!" She almost yelled as Klyde, the resident flirt, walked passed and gave them dirty looks. "What are you looking at? Don't you have someone to flirt with?" Klaus gave them dirtier looks and walked on passed. "You might die." Angel put a hand on her shoulder.
"Then I'd die a Hunter...I'd die being my own anchor," Laurie hugged Angel and Angel wanted to cry again. "I mightn't die, remember that. I'm the best Hunter in the school." Laurie pulled out of the hug and they made their way to the training grounds. Jake, Kace, Lucifer, Dani, Etienne and Alex were waiting beside the sword stand for them. Lucifer flicked his cigarette to the ground.
"What's so important that we're outside in the middle of November?" Angel swallowed, realising it was harder the second time around. "Angel...You're scaring me right now." Angel cleaned her glasses as she began to tell her story. When she finished, Lucifer lit another cigarette while Alex frowned at Angel.
"Wait. Lilith is coming to kill you?" Angel nodded and Alex hugged her. "I am so sorry, Angel. No wonder you've never talked about it before," Alex brushed her blonde hair out of her face. "So you want us to let you fight her because there's a chance she might die if you stab her with Glass?" Angel put her glasses back on and thought about it.
"Yeah, pretty much and you guys can't protect me," Jake, Kace, Etienne and Dani opened their mouths to protest. "Guys...She killed my parents and grandparents. I need to do this for everyone I care about...Not my uncle who has a death wish but my Godparents." Everyone nodded slowly and Lucifer sighed, taking a puff of his cigarette.
"I promise I won't protect you but I'm going to help you," The others nodded and Angel remembered why they were her friends. "OK! Now, we're going to read up on Lilith since Angel has that extra lesson with Riveria, right?" Angel nodded, the lie hurting and they went into the Academy. The others went to the library while Angel hid in a classroom until they were out of sight. She went to the stables and Klyde smiled at her with his devil may care smile.
"Hello, Angel," Angel didn't reply and kissed him hard on the mouth. He pulled out of the kiss while pulling her closer. "So want to tell me what earlier with Laurie was?" Angel gave him a look which he understood. "Right shut up and fuck you." He kissed her hard and lifted her to a bale of hay. Angel had a lot of secrets and Klyde was the second biggest one.
