"There's no way the kidnappers didn't erase the footage! ", Medusa said, rooted on the spot at the scene in front of her.

The principal's office was completely trashed.

"And if the kidnappers didn't erase it, which is highly unlikely, the detectives would have it by now. "Added Billy.

The children moved in a single file towards the surveillance computers in the far corner of the office, careful not to disturb anything.

Medusa, being an extremely amazing tech geek, went right to work. She hacked into the computers and uploaded the surveillance footage from the school's laboratory.

'She might not be all that good with science experiments, but she's brilliant with technology! ' thought Sarah.

On the surveillance video, they saw the two siblings in the lab. But instead of doing the experiments they asked permission for, they were reading!

"So much for asking permission on doing an experiment ", mumbled Billy, clearly bored at watching the two siblings turn pages in a book.

A movement on the other monitor in the corner of her eye, caught Sarah's attention.

"That's the principal!",she announced, causing all three of them to turn their attention entirely to the surveillance footage from the school's hallway.

"Why did the principal fail to mention him seeing the siblings before their disappearance? " , wondered Billy aloud.

The principal came through the door in the hallway. He didn't take as much as five steps, before the most peculiar thing happened. His entire body started shaking uncontrollably and he held his head as if he had a major headache.

"What's happening? !", exclaimed Sarah, surprised.

Before anyone could answer her, the principal stopped and fell to the floor, lifeless.

'Is he dead? ', hung the dreadful question in Sarah's mind.
'Of course not! We just spoke to him this afternoon! 'She reassured herself.

There was a blinding green -yellow light coming from the principal's left hand, almost like the light of a beacon in those alien - monster movies.
Slowly, a dark, hairy, terrible looking shadow emerged from the shadows and crept up to the principal. As the shadow crept closer, the beacon's light shone on it and revealed a dark wolf like figure with bright luminous green eyes.

"A Dire Wolf! I knew it!", exclaimed Sarah, " but how can that be? We destroyed them! "
She turned questioningly to Medusa, waiting for an answer or explanation.

Medusa shrugged," I don't know, I did everything the book said. I don't know why it or they are still here. "

"What book? ", asked Billy confused.

"The book I borrowed from the school's library, from the science section."

"Is that where you got the Dire Wolf experiment? ", asked Sarah still looking at Medusa.

"Hmm", nodded Medusa.

They turned their attention back to the footage only to be shocked more.

"Is his eyes... green?!", Sarah exclaimed in surprise as she pointed at the principal.

"It looks like the wolf is controlling him telepathically! ", announced Billy. "This is bad. "

"That explains why he didn't mention seeing them. " said Sarah. "He didn't know what he was doing. "

Both Billy and Medusa nodded in agreement.
