'What were they doing there?', the question hung in the air, no one thinking about answering it.

"Sarah has a point ", Billy finally broke the silence.

"Maybe they went for extra lessons? ", Medusa asked uncertain.

"How about we go and investigate at the school?",Billy asked, excited at the idea of solving a mystery.

"Great idea! ", Medusa replied sarcastically. "How are we gonna get in? Break in? We'll just make ourselves the prime suspects. Don't they say: 'the criminal returns to the scene of the crime'?

"We aren't criminals! ",Billy exclaimed.

"The police don't know that. "

"I know where the principal stays, " said Sarah absent mindedly.

Both children looked at her.

"What? ", asked Sarah.

"You genius! We'll go ask for the keys and permission! ",Medusa exclaimed.

"Is that another sarcastic statement? ",Billy asked annoyed. Not knowing if it was or wasn't a sarcastic tone of voice.

"No!", Medusa snapped.

"Well it sure sounded sarcastic", Billy replied.

Medusa just rolled her eyes. 'That's because you're full of it', she thought. 'Sometimes he can be so stupidly funny."

Sarah stood up.

"Well? Are we going? ", she asked.

"Absolutely! ", cried Medusa.

"Let's go then!", cried Billy with excitement.

As they walked in town towards the princpal's home, Sarah couldn't help but think about the Dire wolves, as questions swarmed in her head about the missing scientists.
