I've said this once, and I'll say it again.
Only fools believe in the joys of love,
For it is illogical, scary and often painful.
Being in love with another
Is like handing over the nuclear codes
To a bunch of bumbling infants-
You can only watch on with growing horror
As they proceed to hold your life in balance
With the power to make you or break you
Clasped in their chubby, unassuming fists.
Only fools fall in love,
And only someone truly insane
Proceeds to act on it.
If I had any sense at all,
I would have run far and wide,
Found asylum in some monastery
Hidden in the folds of a mountain range,
Far away from this world of blunders.
Only the certifiably insane stay in love,
And that's me- the zaniest of the zanies.
