I like routines,
Waking up early,
Heading out for the day,
Eating the exact same meal
At my usual spot,
Talking to the same people
I've known forever
As I do the same things
I've done all my life.
Sure, things change some times,
And I might take a detour or two,
But I don't chase excitement
Or that life of thrill.
I prefer the autopilot,
Though it can get boring.
Because boring is easy,
It is reliable and without hitches,
And it is a safe place to be.
Adventure may be trending now,
But boring is the eternal best.
