CHAPTER THIRTEEN: THE BREAK-UP (PART2)

December 2, 2005

 It’s now December. No Rules just released another single, Unforgettable. Their previous single, Drive, did well; but their latest single is quickly becoming a worldwide number 1 hit!

 Their world tour has been very successful. They had sold-out concerts in Paris, Berlin, Sydney, Brisbane, Mexico City, Tokyo, LA, NYC, Miami, and Toronto. Their tour has added the British Isles to end the tour.

 Their TV series, Dare 2 Dream, had another hit season. It’s been given another season, and it’s slated to be NR’s final season as their characters ‘graduate’ from the school.

 NR had just finished performing Unforgettable when Erica’s boyfriend, Evan, went backstage to meet with her. He said to her happily, “Erica, you were really good. You’ve got a great voice.”

 Erica kissed Evan; then suddenly Alex flew into a rage, and broke them apart. Evan told him in an irritated tone, “Alex, what the fuck is your problem?”

 Alex told him angrily, “I made Erica great because I wrote that song for her. You didn’t, I did!”

 Erica said angrily, “Oh god, not again. Alex, you didn’t make me ‘great’. I was already good. If I wasn’t, I would be in jail.”

 Then Evan said something shocking to Alex: “You know, Alex, everyone has told me that you’re a nice guy. Honestly, I don’t see that. You’re always hostile to me. I haven’t done anything to you. If you’re nice to everyone but me, there’s only reason why you do this: You fancy Erica.”

 With that, Alex punched Evan in the face. Then a physical fight between started. NR’s bodyguards broke the fight up.

 Sophie confronted Alex, saying, “Alex, is this true? Are you in love with Erica?”

 Erica, Edward, and Ashley looked at each worryingly. Hannah and Mariana were confused to what’s going on. Charlie gave a satisfying smirk. Alex and Sophie stared at each other.

 Then he said to her nervously, “Yes, I’m in love with Erica, and with you.”

 A few seconds later, Sophie stormed off, crying. Erica followed her to a dressing room. She said to Sophie hastily, “Sophie, I’m so sorry! I shouldn’t have kissed Alex in the first place. I-”

 Erica was interrupted by Sophie slapping her in the face. Erica was shocked by that. Then Sophie started crying. She said, “I love Alex! I can’t lose him!”

 Erica calmed down, and said, “Ever since I kissed him, he started to come at me. He fell hard for me, whilst I moved on with Evan. I tried to talk some sense into him, but he wouldn’t listen. Edward told me that Alex has been confused between you and I, but he was leaning more for me. But like I said, I’m sorry for everything. If I could take it all back, I could.”

 Then Erica left to go to NR’s dressing room. She looked around for Evan, but she didn’t see him. So she asked, “Where’s Evan?”

 Hannah replied, “He left. He told us to tell you that he’s leaving you.”

 Mariana added, “It’s because of Alex’s obsession for you.”

 Erica muttered, “God, I feel horrible.”

 A few minutes later, Alex went to the dressing room that Sophie was in. She was on the floor, sniffling. He saw eye makeup smearing all over her face. So he got a paper towel, approached her, and wiped her face.

 Sophie grabbed the towel, and went to the sink to wet it. He said to her calmly, “You know that I still love you, yeah?”

 Sophie said flatly, “But you love Erica, yeah?”

 Alex looked at the ground. Sophie then said to him calmly, “Look, I don’t blame Erica for falling for you. You’re the sweetest guy I’ve ever known. You welcomed her into the band. You helped her ease into No Rules. Hell, you even her changed opinions on the band. Now she’s writing songs for our fourth album, and she’s now our third guitarist. You’re the greatest guy we as band has ever had. Too bad that it has to be this way for us.”

 Then Sophie left Alex to find Erica. She found her at the NR dressing room. She told Erica sternly, “Erica, you can be with Alex, but heed this warning: You’d better not hurt him. He’s went through so much crap that he’s very sensitive. Always be there for him. He need someone to love him.”

 Erica replied, “I will do as you say.”

 Now Alphie (Alex/Sophie) is over. Alex approached Erica, and gave her a hug. Erica gave a half-hearted hug. She still felt bad that Alex fell for her. She was still in love with Evan. Can Erlex (Erica/Alex) work?
