Selena's POV (The explanation pt.1)

So I had woken up and gotten ready for yet another day of boring ass school.I got ready and rushed downstairs.

"Good morning honey, don't forget your lunch before you rush off for school.",my mum:Sarah Potts said."Morning mummy,oh yeah,thanks for reminding me.",I said taking my lunch from the table in the dining room."Bye Selena.",My mum said smiling at me giving me a hug."Bye mum,love you.",I said kissing her on the cheek."Love you more Selena.",My mum said as I let go of her and headed out and got into my car and rushed for school playing some music on the radio.

I jumped out and walked into the school and opened my locker as someone behind me tapped my back.I looked back and it was Candice my new best friend."Candice!",I said laughing loudly."What's up?", Candice asked."Nothing at all.", I said."You wanna go to class?", Candice asked."Yeah lets go.",I said.

Candice had glowy brown skin and black hair and brown eyes, and I was taller than her.

We walked into Ms.Graham's class and sat down taking down the work that ma'am had gave us.

During break we sat together at our table."Do you know that Moses and Pinkie are dating?",Candice asked me whispering."You're fucking joking.",I said looking at Moses and Pinkie,they were holding hands and smiling at each other.

Moses was like our best athlete in the whole of Blueview High and he was you could say kinda popular,he was well built and fare skinned and always wore the school team kit shirt.

"Oh fuck, you're right.",I whispered to Candice looking at them."Yeah,I wouldn't of thought Moses, would've... got with...her.", Candice said."I know right but...why did you underestimate Moses?",I asked raising my right 'brow looking at Candice as she continued to stare at Moses and Pinkie."Well,I just...you know... didn't think that he...would get...her!", Candice said shrugging and laughing."But...Moses is kinda hot.",I said biting my lip looking at him in his tight ass shirt showing off his muscle's."Disgusting.", Candice said making a throwing up noise."Shut the fuck up, you have no taste.",I said rolling my eyes at her."Okay then...Moses.", Candice said laughing teasing and putting her head in my face."Fuck off Candice.",I said laughing pushing her head away from me.

Later on that day I had gotten home in a happy mood.

"Hey mom,hey dad.",I said as I walked into the house and stopped humming the song I was humming."Hey baby.",They both said sitting in the lounge on the couch."How was your day?",They continued saying."It was good actually.",I said as they both had looked at each and other."Thats great Selena...Uhm when you're done showering and thing's can you please come downstairs,your mum and I would like to have a... family meeting.",dad said taking his eyes off mum and onto me."Okay.",I said wondering why the fuck we needed to have a family meeting now.

I had gotten in the shower and bathed and got out and changed then heading downstairs to see what this meeting was about.

"Okay, I'm done.",I said as I sat in my Pajamas across them on the couch opposite."Okay,so...",My mum said as they both had this very serious look on their face as if something was wrong and that shit started to make me worry."Yeah?",I asked fake smiling.

"Well your mum and I-",Dad said looking at mum."Called this meeting because there is something we have to discuss.",Dad continued."Yes,well... this is probably going to be a surprise to you but please do not get angry at us and if you have any questions please feel free to ask us,okay?",My mum asked as I just stared."Oh...okay.",I said confused."So your mum...and I-",my dad said.What the fuck is going on here."We're getting a divorce.",My mum said finishing dad's sentence.DIVORCE,WHAT THE FUCK?!My mum and dad are married for 20 damn years and now...now they're getting divorced.

"What?",I whispered trying to find words to say but they just weren't coming out,the only thing I could say was 'What?'.

"We're sorry darling,its just better lile this.",Dad said."I hope you understand.",My mum said."No I dont fucking understand,like why?Why mum?Why dad?",I asked angrily."Please don't get angry Selena,its just that me and your mum have been going through problems and we believe that this is the best way to settle it and-",Dad said."We've already made our decision.",Mum said making it clear that nothing I said would change their minds.

I just stared at them for a minute as I suddenly could not hear anything and I just thought about what was going on.I then woke up and ran to my room locking myself in.

I just cried and thought about how life would be without the 2 of them as the married happy parents they were before and I eventually fell off to sleep listening to music.

The next morning my mum came to my room."Selena...Selena,please... please open up.",Mum said as I had walked to the door.I was already in my school uniform ready to go off to school as I could definitely not stay in this house right now as the situation was bugging me.

"What do you want?",I asked looking through the peephole in the door."I...I wanna talk to you.",Mum said from outside the door.I opened up and sat down on my bed as she sat beside me."Honey...I...I know you're mad at us for the decision we've made but sometimes it's better that you...you know,break off thing's before it gets toxic.",My mum said looking at me trying to explain."Am I the reason you'll are getting divorced?",I suddenly blurted out."No,no honey! Never would you be the reason.",My mom said putting her arm around me rubbing my back."It's just that dad and I we've been fighting and been going through alot of problems over the past months and it's affecting our relationship as husband and wife and we've just decided that this is the only way.",My mum said trying to make me understand.

I guess I just had to face it.
2 week's later dad moved out and a week after he'd moved out I'd phoned him.

'Hey dad.'
'Hey Selena, how are you doing?'
'Well I'm fine thanks and yourself?'
'I'm okay, I'm just unpacking my stuff, you know?'
'Oh thats cool,I can't wait to see the place.'
'Yeah, you'll definitely like it,its got a nice view of the ocean aswell.'
'Dad?'
'Yeah sweetheart?'
'Can't you and mum fix things,like sort out you'lls issues and get back together,for...for me?'
'Uhh,uhm...Selena,my baby girl this must...must really be hard for you and I understand but I...I can't do that.'
'Why?Why not?The papers are not signed yet.'
'It's not about the papers,its me and your mum.We are over and I know that you're hurting and I'm sorry... really I am but...but you gotta accept it Selena.'
'Oh...Okay.I see,tbanks dad.'

After a few days I was feeling so much of pain that it was almost unbearable but...but then it had hit me!That the only way out would've been to...to kill myself.

So the night before I was going to do it,I recorded a video on my phone stating why I would kill myself.And I decided the next day while mum was gone out I would go to the Blueview convenience store to go and buy the blade.

I had walked there and got into the store and took the blade from one of the aisles and then gone to the till."Hey there young lady.",A woman with a cap on had said to me fron behind the till."Hey there.",I said back."Okay,just that...",She said scanning the barcode of the blade."Anything else?",She asked looking up at me."Uhm,a 20's Marlboro blue please.",I asked her as she then gave me the packet of cigarettes and I then paid her the money.

I walked out and stood outside the store and smoked about 6 cigarettes,yeah I was chainsmoking and I'm not a smoker,I only smoke when I'm really stressed and something is wrong.

I took the blade out from my pocket and put under my phone cover so that it will not fall out and get lost.I had then left the phone near a gutter so that if anyone came to rob me they would not find it on me.

As I lit another cigarette a van pulled up beside me and a person with a mask on covering their face jumped out and grabbed me as I then tried to run away throwing the cigarette to the floor but they had knocked me unconscious and threw me inside their van.

When I had woke up I was in a very dark place it looked as if it was an abandoned building or something.

I looked around in a daze trying to figure out where the fuck I was and what was going on.

The masked person had then walked into the room."Don't be afraid, I'm not gonna hurt you Selena,Soon I will let you go.",They had said in a robotic tone, I think they had some voice changer tech or something."What?Why?Why are...are you keeping me here?",I asked."Do not worry it will soon be over.",they said as the person then covered my mouth with a cloth.It had seemed as if I was there forever.I kept on wondering who this was.They always had their face covered when they had come into the room to give me food and water.I really wasn't that afraid as I'd wanted to die but just not this way.

After like what felt like years the person had came into the room and untied me taking the cloth off of my mouth."What the fuck are you doing,are you killing me?!",I asked screaming loudly."Help, help!",I screamed."Shut the fuck up Selena, I'm not going to hurt you unless you force me to.",The person said covering my mouth again as they knocked me unconscious and I had woke up dizzy looking around... they had moved me to another place,it was smaller than the last room.

I just kept on screaming and kicking the boxes that were near me hoping that someone would hear and come to help me but I did this for like days and noone came to the room besides the masked person.

I was kicking the box and screaming hoping that someone would hear yet again but then I had given up,but wait! There...there was a knock at the door, so I carried on kicking and screaming ...and the door lever went down as if someone was trying to open it so I kicked harder and screamed louder trying to get the attention of that person outside as the door then had been kicked in...It,it was...Mc- McKenzie!!!I had gotten so excited that I would finally be freed,my long lost friend hadn't forgotten about me as I had thought.

"Selena?",She screamed seeming as shocked as I was.She then untied me taking the cloth off my mouth."Selena I thought you were dead?",she asked me."They...They-",I said trying to explain ignoring her question.I looked behind her and it was... Jacob I just stared as he had a piece of wood in his hand,was he going to hit McKenzie?But surely they both had come to rescue me together?Wait,wait...wa-was he the-the masked man?

McKenzie had then looked back and he then said,"I'm sorry 'Kenzie."...And he swung the piece of wood at her head knocking her unconscious.

Why... the fuck would...Jacob wanna kidnap me?
