Echo POV

"Why are you waiting to attack? Why not try sending those servants of yours at me first." Glass says.

"Servants?! What the hell?" The sword kid said.

"You just called us-" The bow one said.

"Naofumi's servants?!" Spear jerk yelled.

"Screw you!" They all yelled and moved to attack just to be pushed back by her.

"As I was saying before mere servants. I hope you at least entertain me a little." Glass says as Naofumi drinks a potion.

"Sorry lady but I was never much into entertaining, that said shield prison!" He says as a shield trapped her inside but she broke it.

"Chain prison!" I say extending my hand as a chain wrapped around her and as she tried to break it she couldn't.

"What is this?" She asked.

"As long as you're wrapped around it it drains any mana you try to use, I've used it on many monsters and non were able to break it. Haruto!" I say as he quickly moved with his sword in hand the woman somehow dodged which surprised me. She dodged each attack he did.

"Amazing, but I'm afraid it's not enough." She says as I undo the chains changing them for a sickle and chain.

"Echo get behind me!" He says as Haruto and Kuro grab me dragging me behind Naofumi as he used his shield prison to block her attack.

"If this continues we'll have to retreat." I say.

"I know." Naofumi says.

"I may have an ace in the trunk but you'll have to use that thing you used earlier." I say as he looks at me.

"If that doesn't work promise me you'll retreat." I say as he undoes the shield and nods.

"Good, you drink this up." I say trowing a potion to the bird before extending my hand again.

"Chain trap." I say as spike chains made their way quickly towards her wrapping around her body drawing some blood as I add pressure to it.

"Now Naofumi!" I say looking at him as he used shield prison and called upon the maiden but she somehow broke it.

"How disappointing." I swallow, who the hell is she? Suddenly a count down started.

"The time limit? I didn't expect it to come so soon." She said.

"At my signal use your light magic to blind her." Naofumi said looking at the demi-human as she nodded.

"The battle of the wave will end in our victory. There can be no other outcome. I have nothing against you but it is what it is." Glass says.

"Ok now!" Naofumi says as the demi-human castes the light.

"Come on Kuro!" I say as he quickly transforms and starts flying away. I looked down to see Naofumi escaping with the bird and the demi-human.

"She's attacking them!" Haruto yells.

"Shoot Kuro!" I say as he got down close to them and shoots fire to counter her attack.

"Thanks Echo! Air strike shield!" Naofumi says as Kuro moved out of the way and finally the wave was over.

"Is it over?" The bird asked as Kuro landed next to her and transformed.

"I guess it is." I say watching as the wooden boat stopped floating.

"Thanks for the help Echo." Naofumi says as I smile at him.

"I can't let these idiots take care of things." I say with a chuckle.

"Still thanks, I haven't heard from you in a while. Where's your party?" He asked.

"They're in a near by village. We agreed on dividing every time a wave hits so that we could protect some villages while I fight the main monster." I say as he gets down from the bird and I caress her.

"Wow she's really soft." I say and suddenly she transformed into a little girl.

"Oh wow." I say looking down at her.

"Lady Echo, I know you favor the shield hero but our members are waiting for us." Haruto says making me blush.

"Why you little!" I run towards him as he laughs hiding behind Kuro.

"Hey it's the truth!" He says making me huff and look away.

"Idiot." I say.

"I'm not the one fawning over him every chance you have." I blush more hitting the back of his head.

"Shut it!" I say as him and Kuro laughed and I hear Naofumi laughing too.

"Not you too." I whine.

"Sorry." He says still laughing.

"You don't look sorry." I say crossing my arms still blushing.

"You're just adorable when you blush." He says chuckling walking closer to me petting my head.

"Hmph." I look away from him.

"Seriously though. Thanks, if it wasn't for you I really would've lost all hope. I never thank you for sticking with me back then and believing me unlike the rest." He says as I smile up at him.

"No problem. I know you wouldn't do something like that, out of the 4 you seemed like the honest sweet one. I'm glad you found people to stand by you." I say hugging him.

"Lady Echo." Haruto sang making me sigh.

"Shush you. Oh yeah these are Haruto and Kuro." I say pulling away from Naofumi as he seemed to be blushing a bit.

"Oh uh, these are Raphtalia and Filo." He says he says.

"It's nice to meet the two of you." I say smiling at the two.

"You too Lady Echo." Raphtalia says bowing.

"There's no need to call me Lady, these two just do it because they want to." I say.

"But I want to call you Lady as well, just how I call Master Naofumi." She says as I sigh shaking my head.

"Alright then, we should get going anyway. Who knows what those two would do if we don't." I say face palming.

"Aren't you going to stay and get the drops?" He asks and I shake my head.

"No, I don't do this for the drops and I'm not in the mood to deal with those three arguing." I say getting on Kuro.

"Oh, well bye then." He says as I raise a brow.

"Hey Naofumi." I call making him look at me.

"I'll see you soon." I say waving at him as he nodded waving as well before Kuro took off.

Naofumi POV

"Do you like her Master Naofumi?" Raphtalia suddenly asked making me look at her.

"Hm, she's a good friend. She was the only one to stand up for me, and even warned me about that damn woman. I was the one that didn't listen to her and ended up in this mess." I answer but her question still rang in my head. Do I like her? I mean she's really cute and kind. She was the only one who understood me and defended me when no one else did. But do I like her in that way? My mind went back to the kiss she gave me back then when she warned me about that bitch. I guess I do have some feelings for her.
