Kaede- She came from a normal, loving family. But, she had to leave her pack, as there were just too many members; in addition, she would have been forced to mate with one of her brothers, as her pack was purely her family members.

Shuichi- He also came from a normal, loving family. When he was young, his father and mother got lost in the woods while hunting and have never been seen again. Shuichi has been searching for them ever since, unintentionally honing his skills as a finder. He was revered by his old pack for finding everything from food buried too deep to lost pups. He eventually departed from his family to start his own pack, and hopefully have a larger chance of finding his parents.

Kirumi- When her mother was pregnant with her, she caught a horrible, horrible sickness.* She was already weakened beforehand, but giving birth irreparably damaged her. Every single one of her pups were stillborn, except Kirumi. A couple days after giving birth, she died. She was raised by her father, but was hated, as he felt every one of her mother's pups had contributed to her death. She grew up serving everybody in her pack, feeling an obligation to. She was eventually chased out by her father, simply because he was tired of having "too many mouths" to feed. 

*A version of canine distemper that has passed down through her family for generations. She was very lucky she didn't instantly get it from the placenta.

Ryoma- He came from a loving pack, consisting of just his mother, father, big sister, little brother, and his mate.* Everything was normal until one day, when the alpha of a huge, well-known pack took him aside. The alpha had a daughter who desperately needed a mate. He politely declined, but the bigger wolf took offense to that. The alpha brought his pack and attacked Ryoma's; they had tried to fight back, but the other pack was just too big. His mother and mate had told him to run, and he had listened. As he looked back, he witnessed every single wolf of his pack being murdered. 

*His mate was a lone she-wolf pup that was taken in by his father and mother when he was also a pup.

Kokichi- He once had a human family, consisting of a mother, father, and two little children when he was a puppy. Kokichi was bought as a "toy" for the children. Turns out the mother and father had gotten in over their heads, as they learned that a dog was "too needy." They had never bothered to train Kokichi (hence, his wild conduct), and never taught the kids how to respect an animal. They pulled his fur, slapped his legs, and punched his stomach. Instead of him growling and snapping, he played tricks on them (peeing on their beds, tripping them, slobbering all over their blankies). The parents got tired and left him in the woods to die. Kirumi found him shivering in the snow, starving and flea-ridden.

Kiibo- He was stolen from the wild as a pup and put in a private animal collector's hoard; therefore, he would never remember his family. He stayed there, until an animal rights group stormed the place and took him in. They rehabilitated him, releasing him when he was ready.

Angie- She was born in a fur farm. Her family was never stable, believing that the humans were gods who had come to collect their souls for a greater purpose. While she grew up with this indoctrination, she wasn't completely corrupted. She repaired their wounds and cured their illnesses with plants surrounding  their cages, all the while looking for a crack in the foundation. One day, she found one and escaped into the wild.

Himiko- She was born into a family who was the property of a magician. The magician had taken upmost care of and loved them, making sure they were in prime condition for magic shows. One day, a burglar broke into their cage behind the magician's house and tried to steal the wolves. She managed to slip out of the thief's grasp, and along with her pregnant mother, escaped. They joined a pack who was willing to take in loners. When Himiko was of age, she (reluctantly) left the pack.

Tenko- She was born into a loving family. Her siblings were all brothers; in fact, the majority of her pack were males. Her brothers and the majority of the males in the pack were very annoying to her, save for her dad and her trainer. This trainer was the omega, who had taken it upon himself to help her get stronger. They worked together, training up to become "the strongest wolves the world's ever seen." One day, the omega was bitten by a rabid fox, and therefore, her dad was forced to kill him before he could harm anybody. Too distraught to care anymore, she ran away.

Rantaro- He was born into a normal pack. He stayed with his sisters and parents until he was of age, and as soon as that mark was passed, he left to explore the woods. He never felt as though he could stay in one place for too long.

Korekiyo- He grew up in a pack consisting of his adult sister, her mate, parents, and a couple of other wolves. When he was a pup, his sister gave birth to her own babies. Korekiyo was accidentally exposed to a sickness, and unfortunately spread it to his newborn nieces and nephews. The babies died, and his sister and her mate became cruel to him. They bullied him mercilessly, even purposely hurting him on some occasions. One night, while everyone was sleeping, he fled.

Maki- She, at first, grew up in a pack who loved her and treated her like an actual being. One night, though, when she was wide awake, a loner male spirited her away. He raised her, training her to kill, and mercilessly. If she didn't listen, she was hurt. He forced her to kill higher and higher ranking wolves, until she was killing the alphas of prominent packs. Though, she was bound to snap eventually. She tore out his throat and ran deep into the woods, wanting to get somewhere, anywhere.

Kaito- He never knew his mother and father, being raised by his loving grandparents instead. It was just the three of them, living their lives peacefully. He had big dreams of starting his own pack, or joining one and having a mate and pups of his own. The only unfortunate thing was this- they were just too big for his current pack. So, he said a tearful goodbye to them and ventured off, wishing them good luck.

Gonta- He was abandoned as a pup, not wanted by his mother nor his father. A group of bears mistook him for one of their cubs and raised him as their own. When he came of the age where bears usually go off on their own, he left, but not without tearful kisses and cuddles. He'd always keep them in his heart, even if they weren't his biological parents.

Miu- Nobody knows much about her. The pack had found her at the bottom of a tall, rocky outcropping, head bleeding. She has divulged the whole story to Kiibo, though, who has been sworn to secrecy.

Tsumugi- She has the same story as Kaede's, pretty much.

WOOOOOOO! Finally, these backstories are DONE, after *several* hours! These got repetitive and unoriginal the farther I went down, but hey- I had to write 16 of them, you can't judge me, can you? These'll just give you a little insight to what they've been through. Some will even be helpful to know later, especially Ryoma's, which will, most likely, be instrumental later. - Mia 🔱
