When we met up at the edge of the woods two hours later, I had six deer, five rabbits, and three squirrels. Kathryn had 5 deer and two squirrels. Sierrah had three rabbits and a basket of berries. 

"Where did you get the basket?" I asked Sierrah when she showed them to me. 

"Remember last year when I saw that wolf and dropped it?" she asked. "Well, I found it!" 

I nodded and smiled. Then I looked at our load. "We're going to need some help carrying all this back to the house. If we leave and make trips, then some animals might get to it before we do." 

Kathryn pulled out a small radio (Don't ask how she got it or how she has it with her) and said, "Who should I call?" 

Ion Fortuna, I thought. 

"I know!" she exclaimed. Then she said into the radio, "Abel?"  

Gasp! I thought. Didn't Ion mention an Abel last night? 

At that moment, a tall man with long white hair pulled back in a ponytail rushed into the forest, barely missing me, and stopped next to Kathryn. He had blue eyes, round glasses, and was dressed up like a priest.

"This is Abel Nightroad." Kathryn said with a huge smile. 

I opened my mouth to speak, but Sierrah beat me to it. "KATHRYN!" she screamed. "What have you been hiding from us?" I couldn't help but laugh. 

When I had finally regained my composure, I asked, "Abel? Have I seen you be- wait a minute! You're one of the people I saw yesterday, aren't you?" 

He smiled and nodded. 

"Then, was Ion with you yesterday? And Zero too?" I asked.

Before Abel could respond, Sierrah asked, "Wait, how do you know about Zero, Myranda? And who's Ion?"

Finally, Abel had his chance to speak. "Ion is her protector, I am Kathryn's, and Zero is yours," he said to Sierrah in a low, calm voice. He sounded a lot like he'd done this before. Had he?

"Anyway," I said before Sierrah kept this going forever, "we need some help carrying this stuff back."

"Say no more," he said, holding up his hand. "You stay here and I'll come back for you momentarily."

"Sure," we mumbled. And as fast as he had gotten there, he disappeared.
