Chapter 14❤

"Are you high?" I heard a voice say from above me, of course Tommy.

"Rolling, rolling on the river!" I sang, rolling on the red living room carpet.

"That was a serious question by the way Tam," the voice continued.

"Tommy dear, I'm fine." I answered.

"Are you su-"he responded, but I cut him off.

"Perfect. Sane. In need of no help." I was still rolling around.

"Really now? Because I exited the room for 3 minutes to make a sandwich and I come back only to see my friend rolling around on the floor like some crazy person." Tommy retorted.

"You called me friend? How sweet!" I giggled.

"Is that the only thing you heard?" Tommy sighed.

"Yuperooooooooooooooony."

Tommy walked towards the glass table in the middle of the room and lifted up a mug, sniffing it.

"You're so beautiful, like a sunflower and a raven. You shine in the sunlight O beautiful one..." I continued.

The sun shone through the ajar blinds shielding the window, so yellow and beautiful.

"Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful." I chanted, it was such a beautiful word!

"Jake, bring your fat bottom downstairs. NOW." Tommy shouted.

His face was so red, like a tomato.

Tomatoes are so beautiful...

"Alright, keep your hair on." a voice shouted back.

I heard beautiful footsteps as someone jogged downstairs and finally the beautiful door creaked open.

"Jake, have I ever told you how much I love you. And how beautiful you are." I said giggling, but what was so funny?

"What did you put in this?" Tommy hissed.

Hissed like a snake. Yes, snakes are so beautiful.

"A plant." Jake shrugged, his shoulders moved so gracefully, like a horse.

Horses are so beautiful.

"And this plant was called...?" Tommy snarled.

Snarled like a lion, lions are so beautiful.

"Weed." Jake continued.

Weed, so green and...

Beautiful.

"Please tell me it was the garden kind and not the teenage obsession kind..." Tommy barked.

Barked like a dog, dogs are so beautiful.

"The garden kind...?" Jake said sheepishly.

Sheep, they're beautiful too.

"Stop bullshitting me!" Tommy growled.

"Naughty boy Tommy! You swore. I'm telling my mummy on you!" I spoke.

"Yes Tommy, no swearing." Jake joined in.

"High five my brother." I stood up, wobbling on my feet and hit my brothers... face?

I heard laughter, from my... left?

"What do you have to say for yourself?" Tommy exclaimed.

"Sorry, Dad. It wasn't even meant for her, the recipe was given to me and I completely forgot about it. Serves her right anyways for landing me with 2 months of laundry duty!" Jake snorted.

So Tommy was my daddy? Well, you learn something new every day.

"Hi Dad." I smiled, giggling.

"How much did you give her?" Dad continued, ignoring my greeting.

I pouted next to Jake.

"About 100 grams?" Jake mused.

Daddy cursed under his breath and suddenly grabbed my arm.

"Hey, where're we going Dad?" I asked.

He ignored me once again and led me up the stairs.

1, 2, 3,4,.....10.

I was pulled into a room and seated onto a bed.

"Daddy what are you doing?" I asked.

"What happened Tammy?" Dad sighed.

"I was on the couch, you had left the room, then I saw a white mug on the table, it was tea, my favourite, so I drank it, it was a little bit dark and had flakes in it, but I had most of it... and suddenly I felt like the happiest girl in the world. Dad, your eyes are so blue. Like the sky." I giggled.

"Lord have mercy." Dad muttered.

"Your hair is so brown and beautiful, did you know that?"

"I think it's time for you to sleep now darling." Dad said.

"But the sky is still blue outside!" I pouted, yes the sky, so blue and beautiful.

"Yes, it's the summer." Dad replied.

"I thought it was fall!" I protested.

Fall, when the leaves fell from the trees... so beautifully.

"Nope, that's not right." Dad scolded.

He tucked me into bed and fluffed my pillow before finally approaching the white door.

"You know dad? You look a little young to have me as your child." I muttered, closing my eyes.

"Thanks Tam." Daddy said winking and left the room.

...leaving me to have dreams of beautiful buttercups and daisies.

---

Voices awaked me from my slumber,

"You're an idiot, you know that right?" I voiced hissed.

"How many times to I have to apologise?" another voice replied.

It's too late to apologize, it's too late...

No? Well OK then...

"When you've said it so much that your voice box will bleed and come out of your mouth, leaving you with no means of speaking any further."

"What's going on?" I finally asked, rubbing my eyes.

It was then that I realised how dry my mouth felt and how sore my eyes were.

"Ouch!" I exclaimed.

"Tam, what's wrong?" Tommy asked anxiously.

"I just feel so tired, my mouth is dry and my eyes feel like they've been thrown into pits of fire and then slotted back in again!" I complained.

"See what you've caused!" Tommy scolded to a sheepish looking Jake.

"What did he do this time...?" I tutted.

"Oi! What do you mean 'this time'?" Jake defended.

"I mean, you have a reputation of being up to no good." I answered.

"Touché."

"Don't forget about the subject at hand here! He poisened you!" Tommy interjected.

"What? I'm going to die?" I exclaimed at the same time as Jake said, "Don't be so dramatic!"

"Alright, okay then. He DRUGGED you!" Tommy corrected.

"You did what now?" I turned to Jake to somewhat clarify what Tommy had said.

"I didn't mean to! I was experimenting and I went upstairs to check Facebook, completely forgetting about the tea and suddenly I was greeted by a drugged up Taceerio." Jake explained.

"So you drugged me?" I spoke up again, my rage rising.

"Again, it wasn't intended for you. I really am sorry Tammy, I would never go that far." he said sincerely.

"It's alright," I paused, peering at Tommy's expression of protest, "-but would you please explain to me just why you were all but prepared to take drugs in the first place?" I hissed.

"Well..." Jake trailed off, scratching the back of his neck.

"Well what?" I urged.

"There's this girl-" Jake was interrupted by Tommy.

"This is always how it starts." he muttered.

"Shut-up!" Jake snapped.

Tommy held his hands up in surrender and Jake continued.

"Anyways, what I was saying was- BEFORE I WAS SO RUDELY INTERRUPTED," Jake said, pointedly looking at Tommy, "I met this girl, I've had a crush on her since school ended last semester and my mates have been calling me a whipped pussy, especially as I refused to smoke drugs with them, so I did it to impress them."

'Some friends' I snorted mentally.

"Jake, you know better than to submit to peer pressure." I said, my tone softening.

"I know, I know, I was being stupid." Jake murmured.

"Damn right!" Tommy snorted.

"That's not helping!" I snapped.

"Sorry mama bear," he replied.

"Don't ever do it again, alright? There's nothing special about drugs besides the fact that you feel like you're on cloud nine and you sound like some extreme hippy," I warned.

"Yes mum." Jake said.

"Now leave me alone the two of you, it's a Saturday and I need to sleep till at least 5 pm."

"Erm Tammy, it's a Thursday." Tommy said slowly.

"What?" I shrieked, attempting to jump out of bed but ultimately failing.

"Yep!" Jake said, popping the 'p'.

"What is the time?" I sighed.

"1pm," Tommy answered nonchalantly.

"Why are you here then? Why are we here? Dear almighty lord of cream cheese puffs, I can't skip school 2 weeks into the term!" I breathed.

"Relax Tam! You're mum called into school saying you were feeling ill and you need me to look after you, as for Jake here, he decided to stay because he wanted to apologize to you as soon as you woke up." Tommy explained.

"Ah, that's so sweet!" I exclaimed.

"I told you to tell her that I was suspended for the day!" Jake cried, blushing scarlet.

"It's OK Jake, I can keep a secret." I joked, winking.

"You may be able to, but I sure can't," Tommy teased.

"I am out of here," Jake said exiting through the white door of my room.

"I'm going to freshen up a bit."

I jumped up to brush my teeth and give my face a wash before going back to my bed.

"Oh your back." Tommy greeted.

"Yes, thank you captain obvious." I joked.

He just mimicked what I said and I rolled my eyes.

"So, did you call Annie?" I asked curiously.

Tommy just looked at me as if I had suddenly grown three heads.

"Is that even a question?" he responded, pulling out the chair from my desk and taking a seat.

"I dunno, she seems really interested..."

"Does it look like I reciprocate those feelings?" he asked rhetorically.

I bit back a smile.

"A while back you said you didn't like her type. Why?"

"They're too clingy, fake and annoying quite frankly." he shrugged, but his nonchalant act seemed strained.

"Oh come on! There has to be some other reason", I prodded.

"Nope,"

"Okay then, let's continue our game of 20 questions shall we? You have 17 left and I have 18", I smirked.

"Wow, okay then. But only because you were drugged yesterday," he agreed.

"New rules, I'm sure you know why..." I trailed off, glaring at the idiot sitting next to my bed, "No dares, if you miss a question you get two more asked."

"Yes sir." Tommy said, saluting me.

"Shut-up," I snapped, but I was keeping back a giggle.

What the heck? What was so funny?

"My turn! What is the real reason why you don't like Annie's type?"

"You're not going to let that go are you?" he sighed.

"Not. A. Chance." I replied, pausing after each word.

"Becausemysisterwasbulliedbyoneandcommittedsuicide. The End." he said in one breath.

"What?"

"My younger sister was bullied by this group of blonde bimbos for 5 years and committed suicide. We found her in her bathroom." he said quietly, looking intently at the wall behind me.

It had been a while since I had felt so stupid and inconsiderate, of course there would have had to be a legitimate reason as to why he wasn't eager to share.

"Sorry, I shouldn't have asked." I whispered, guilt stirring in my stomach.

"Don't be sorry, it was nice to let it all out in the open." He said, finally looking at me and throwing me a genuine smile.

"Okay," I replied, still uncertain.

"Are you a virgin?"

"Seriously?" I exclaimed in frustration.

"Yes. I. Am." he said, mocking the tone I had used before.

"Well then, Yes. I. Am." I repeated.

"Really?" he asked.

"Yes." I snapped.

"Okay." he said, sighing in what I thought was relief.

"What is your favourite colour?"

"Blue," he answered.

"Typical." I snorted.

"What do you mean?" he said curiously.

"That's the average colour that most boys like, the colour mostly associated with guys." I explained.

"Whatever Tammy, what is your favourite colour?" he pressed.

"Blue," I muttered.

"Hypocrite." he coughed.

"Hey you mister! Shush your mouth!"

"Okay miss crampy pants." he teased, moving to sit next to me on my bed.

"What are you doing?" I said, raising an eyebrow.

"Sitting on your bed. Hey, move up will you," he said, as if it were the most normal thing in the world.

Listening to his demand, I moved up and he made himself comfortable, sticking his jean clad legs underneath my bed sheets. Now, both of our legs were touching, his warmth radiating onto me- but I chose to ignore it.

"Why were you in the pharmacy the day I met you?" I asked.

It took him a moment to reply.

"I was just buying some cough sweets," he assured, chuckling.

"Oh few, I thought you were going to say you had some chronic disease or something," I said, genuinly relieved.

Just when had I become so attached to this guy?

"Nope, no disease can enter this holy temple." he continued, gestering to his body.

"You're so full of yourself."

"But that's why you love me." he winked.

"I'm going to sleep now," I told him, silently implying that he should leave.

"Cool." he said, shuffling around to find a more comfortable position.

"Well, leave then."

"No, I think I'll stay, I'm tired too." he smirked, yawning.

I moved away from him, meanwhile getting cooler and cooler.

"What are you doing?" he inquired.

"Giving you personal space." I answered, my head was now facing away from him.

I heard a sigh, followed by a pair of arms wrapping around my waist.

"What are you doing?" I hissed, repeating his previous question.

"Invading your personal space." he retorted, resting his chin on my shoulder.

"I give up." I sighed, I was happy he couldn't see my face as I was blushing like crazy now.

"Yeah, you should." his lips brushed the nape of my neck as he spoke.

"Good afternoon Tommy."

"Good afternoon Tammy."

And finally, I drifted off into another sleep.

A/N

I have never in my life taken drugs, besides the prescription kind, so if Tammy's behaviour was completely outrageous, please notify me. Sorry if this chapter was completely terrible.
