Tentens POV

‘Why would Neji,out of all shinobi,  why in the world would he want me wearing this?’ I thought to myself while looking at a bag that had a onesie folded in it. Why? Just why? Its so weird. The worse part was that he choose a panda, a panda! Out of all things. Sure I had a thing for animals, but a panda? Did my buns really give that away?

It was getting late. I told Neji I was gonna get some food and go straight home. But the truth is I had a few errands to run. Im done now but I just liked sitting down on a bench when the sun is starting to set and its just so beautiful. It makes me think. Who knows if I can see something like this again? This feeling only happens once in a life time.

I looked back down at the back that had a panda onesie in it. It kinda looked comfy.

“Hey Tenten there you are!”

“Tenten c'mon lets just go”

The 2 most familiar voices ive ever heard were right behind me, I turned around but saw something I did not expect at all.

Nejis POV

Everyone was in costume. Good, All was going according to plan. Except there was one small thing. Tenten wasnt here yet. We waited 20 minutes for her and yet still no sign.

I was starting to get worried when Hinata spoke up

“Maybe you and L-lee should go l-look for her.”

“Hinata as much as I'd like to I simply cannot. Are you even looking at what im wearing?” I know I've said in the past that I'd dance in front of konoha in a chicken costume for her forgiveness but she already forgave me and if the rest of the clan saw me what would they say?! They'd make a mockery out of me.

“Cmon Neji, If you care about Tenten you'd go, no matter what. Plus shes your teammate so you might as well go to show her you care.” said Kiba, clearly annoyed. Whats his problem with me going to get Tenten? Does he really like Tenten? Whatever if he does, he doesn't stand a chance.

I thought about it for a bit then decided that Kiba was right. Damn it, I cant believe I said that.

“Alright, I'll go with you Lee, Lets find Tenten.”

Tentens POV

“What are you guys wearing?” I said trying not to laugh

“Tenten, Cmon get your panda costume on, I promise it'll be worth your while” Lee said enthusiastically. Neji on the other hand looked so...constipated.

“Alright guys. Ill put it on, but I need to go put it on somewhere more private, Stay right here.”

I head over to a public bathroom and quickly changed in a stall. When I got out Neji and Lee were waiting for me. Neji still looked like he needed to take a dump and Lee was literally one hair away from sprinting, He could barely keep still.

“Tenten are you ready to go?!” exclaimed Lee

“Yup”

“YOSH! Lets not waste any time! The gathering awaits!”

“Wait...What gathering?” I asked

Neji finally spoke up “Follow us Tenten”

My curiosity got the better of me and so I followed. We made it pass Inos flower shop but it wasnt open. Weird usually team 10 hangs out there at this hour. Maybe they're at the barbeque.

We pass up A tree where Team 8 usually hangs out at. Its a big tree and it has a lot of shade. Perfect for naps. But nobody was there. Again, maybe they're visiting Kurenai.

Last we pass up Ichirakus which has Team 7 written all over it thanks to Naruto, It was empty except for The people who work there. I never really got there names since we didn't go there often.

I realize we are heading straight towards my house. Which strangely its all lit up. I remember leaving the lights off.

Neji knocks on my door. Wait are there people in there?! I didnt even clean up. And worse of all I left some things in my room no one should see! I even left my diary on my drawer. If you're wondering why I have one, You should spend half of your teen life hanging out with a Jerk and 2 Hot headed freaks and tell me if you're still sane or not.

"SURPRISE!” They all yell. Team 8,10, and 7 were there. No sign of there senseis though. Not a problem with me, Less people, the better. The place was decorated with animals, Everyone was wearing an animal onesie like Neji and Lee. It was so....sweet. They were even playing my favorite music.

“Were sorry Tenten for all we caused.” Lee started

“We didn't know you felt like that, You should of spoken up, But now we see our error and we apologize deeply, Forgive us Tenten.” Neji finished. He smiled and so did I. I turned to Lee and smiled, He was already​ smiling and crying tears of joy.

“I accept your apology. Im sorry for being so dramatic. I was just so lonely..... Enough about this stuff though. Im starving, Hopefully you guys got snacks right?”

“What kind of party would this be if there was no snacks!” yelled Choji. Of course he'd be obsessed with snacks.

After I ate a little I sat down while everyone was chatting or dancing. Neji sat right next to me and turned to me. Awkward. Very awkward. Thankfully he spoke up

“This onesie is very...Itchy.”

“But they are meant to be comfortable.” I replied

“Yes well. Its hot. Makes me very sweaty and stuff” he chuckled. He never laughed.

“But you have to admit. Onesies are pretty cosy.” I said. Make a move Tenten. I scooted closer to Neji and put my head on his shoulder.He put his arm around me so I guess he liked it. He muttered something but I couldn't exactly hear it cause I was in Lala land. I couldn't believe I was cuddling next to Neji and he was okay with it!

Nejis POV

“Very funny...” I muttered. I tried to say it louder but I couldn't. I got something stuck in my throat mainly cause TENTEN WAS CUDDLING AGAINST ME AND I HAVE MY ARM AROUND HER! I didn't know what to do so I put my arm around her to let her know Im here for her.

A little later Tenten and I got up and wandered around a little. Tenten was hanging out with Ino and Sakura. I made my way over to talk to Shikamaru when I felt something tug at my shoulder.

“Dude you guys should have made out or something!” Yelled Naruto right in my ear. That boy had no common sense whatsoever. I cant believe Hinata actually liked this goof. Surprisingly (Though not really) Hinata and Kiba where right behind him nodding there heads.

“I don't like the Idea that Tenten and you together. But I can tell it makes you both happy. So I cant help but to agree with Naruto.” Kiba looked away so he wouldn't make Eye contact, but I could tell he was trying to be nice

“Y-y-yeah, I agree with Kiba.” Hinata spoke up. She was good friends with Tenten. I don't like it when Kiba says it, but when Hinata says it I can tell she means it.

“You should just tell her man” Naurto yaps off. “Tell her you like her, And If she rejects you at least she knows how you feel, right?”

“I guess” I agree. Before I could stop myself Im already walking towards Tenten and her group

“Can I talk to you?” I ask, Interrupting there conversation.

“Yeah, Be right back guys” She looked at Ino and Sakura. They both nodded and had there own conversation. We were at a corner of her house where no one was nearby. I took a deep breath.

“Tenten, I need to get something off my chest. I...Love you. More then a friend. Ever since the Gaara rescue mission my feelings for you have grown. Do you....” I took another deep breath before I spoke up “Do you feel the same....If you don't. Thats fine. You know, The best part about love Is, You dont have to be with someone to let them know you love them. Loving Someone is when you'd do anything for them. Even if anything meant that they'd be happy with another person. As long as you're happy, I'm happ-” I was cut off by a touch of Tentens soft lips. She was kissing me. It was like kissing a pillow except the pillow is alive and It was actually Tenten this time.... Don't ask.

Everyone was staring but I didnt care.I put my arms around her back and leaned against the wall. Words couldn't describe how I felt. I felt a sudden coldness when I felt her lips leave mine.

“Neji” she said “Im happy with you, and only you.” She smiled, So did I. 

I never wanted to let go, And so I didn't

Lees POV

Everyone was getting ready to leave the party. I was so shocked that Neji and Tenten could keep such a secret from me! I thought I was special to them! A comrade that they could share secrets with. I guess not Though. It didn't really bother me, cause those two were finally together at least...Ah, The power of youth is so great.

As everyone was leaving, I noticed Neji wasnt leaving.

“Cmon Neji lets go home!”

“Actually Lee Im staying here, Get home safe alright?” Neji said. He didn't even look at me. He was staring at Tenten the whole time like he was talking to her.

“Im gonna get some Ice cream. Bye Lee” She waved me goodbye and motioned for Neji to follow her.

“Yosh! Goodbye” Before I left the door I could hear Neji say 'This onesie doesn't feel cosy anymore, I think Ill take it off' I quickly ran off before I could hear anything un-youthful go on. At that moment, I was so lucky I was fast. I ran right up to Gai senseis house and told him that our secret mission, mission 'make Neji and Tenten' a thing was a complete success! Yosh!
