I DID IT!!!! 

Despite having so much to do I finished this chapter earlier and I am so freaking proud of myself :) :)

Haikuan bid farewell to his patient and made his way to pick up Xiao Zhan at the doctor's office like usually. He parked the car and entered the building.

"Dr. Liu. Did you forget something?" The receptionist asked friendly.

"Not that I know of. Why asking?" Haikuan asked amused.

"Then why are you back?" The receptionist was confused.

"What is that for a question? Of course to pick up Xiao Zhan. Where is he? Shouldn't his session be over since..." He looked at the clock ".... 10 minutes already? Is he still inside?"

"Ähm... well... didn't you pick him up earlier already?"

"What do you mean? I did not..."Haikuan was confused.

"Your driver called earlier and asked us to send Xiao Zhan out.... Wasn't that your order to him?"

"What are you talking about!? I don't even have a driver! I am always the one picking Xiao Zhan up. Where is he now!?" Haikuan asked worried while slowly getting angry.

"No, that's.... I mean .... Your driver picked him up earlier ...." The receptionist answered nervously.

"I already told you I do not have one!! You still have his number, don't you? Call my so-called driver back. Right now!" Haikuan ordered but when the receptionist did so the mechanic voice announced that the number was not in use.

"You have CCTV, right? Show it to me. What are you waiting for!? If something happens to my son I will make you accountable for it!! And now show me the damn CCTV!" Haikuan almost screamed what never happened before.

The pictures showed Xiao Zhan leaving the building while looking around before he turned around to go back. Just seconds later a man showed up behind him and drugged Xiao Zhan before carrying him into a car.

"Call the police!!!NOW!!" Haikuan shouted furious and the receptionist complied.  

It was evening when Haikuan entered his house where MianMian, Yibo, FanXing and even Li Bowen were waiting for his return. Everyone was worried about the kidnapping of Xiao Zhan, only FanXing did not know about the recent events as the adults chose to not tell him about the disappearance of his big brother.

When Haikuan entered the living room, all tired after talking to the police the whole day, MianMian run up to him and took him in his arms. Bowen chose to keep quiet after seeing Haikuan's appearance. To be honest he was more worried about Yibo than Haikuan as the young adult did not utter a sound after receiving the news of Xiao Zhan's kidnapping. Therefore Bowen kept an eye on Yibo.

"Uncle, why is big brother not here yet? I drew a picture and want to show it to him." The innocent FanXing announced happily not realizing the dark mood inside the house.

"Mia Mian, I think it would be better to bring FanXing to bed and you go bed too. Its late already." Haikuan whispered to his fiance.

"But .... I cant sleep. What is with Xiao Zhan...?" MianMian whispered back visibly worried.

"I will wait for news about Xiao Zhan. You need sleep. Go to bed. Think about the baby too...." Haikuan gave back while gently stroking the very small baby bump of his fiance.

"Alright. But ... bring our son back soon." MianMian agreed and kissed Haikuan softly on his lips before picking up FanXing.

"Lets brush your teeth and then its time for bed. You can show your drawing some other time. Come." She said while taking the little boy upstairs. Usually he would throw a tantrum but today he kept quiet, probably due his tiredness.

Haikuan sat down on the couch before hiding his face inside his hands. Yibo understood his brother was crying while giving himself the fault for Xiao Zhan's kidnapping. Despite feeling awful himself, Yibo walked up to his brother and took him into his arms where the older brother let out his sorrow.

Li Bowen stood in the background watching the two brothers. He already asked for permission to stay over night, wanted to know every news the moment they would be announced. He felt miserable the moment he got to know about Xiao Zhan's kidnapping. Why was it always him?

Bowen knew he should let the brothers have their time alone but he was still worried at Yibo's calmness. That was not like him.

So the gardener decided to go into the guestroom which happened to be next door to give the brothers some time.

"It is my fault... I should have come earlier... no, I should have stayed with him the whole time." Haikuan mumbled after he run out of tears.

"You are wrong. Its the fault of whoever decided to take Zhan. Its also the fault of that receptionist sending Zhan out just because someone called pretending to be someone he wasn't. It was their job to check on this claim but they just send Zhan out instead...." Yibo said and patted his brother's back.

"He is scared. I can feel it. Being kidnapped for the second time without even understanding the reason for the first kidnapping. Where is he, Yibo?" Haikuan asked desperately.

"I don't know, but we will find him soon." Yibo answered determined. 

"I made a promise. I promised to take care of him, to protect him, to love him. But I lost him.... I am once again at fault for your separation ... I am sorry Wang Ji ... I am sorry for breaking this promise... little brother, Yibo... I am sorry."

'Is he slowly losing his mind...? Why is he apologizing to his bunny now....? He really is tired... He should rest!'  Yibo thought worried and placed his brother's head on a cushion on his knees.

"Xiao Zhan must be so scared. He is in who knows what kind of danger. He will not withstand another emotional turmoil, Yibo. We need to find him..." Haikuan mumbled before slowly falling into a restless sleep.

"We will find him... We will...." Yibo answered while slowly stroking his brothers hair.

After 15 minutes Yibo carefully placed the cushion together with his brother's head on the couch before standing up with the intention to leave the house.

Yibo was about to open the front door but held in when he heard a voice behind him.

"Where do you think you are going?" Bowen asked before walking towards the young adult.

"Mind your own business. I have some things to settle!" Yibo answered and wanted to open the door but his arm was grabbed by Bowen before he could do that.

"Its already 11 pm. What do you have to settle so late at night?" Bowen wanted to know.

"I already told you, none of your business. I am just paying a visit to someone ..... before looking for my boyfriend!" Yibo answered and wanted to break free.

"You will not go near that receptionist!" Bowen guessed the person Yibo wanted to visit  and when he saw the furious glare of Yibo he knew he guessed right. "You need to calm down."

"Calm down? CALM DOWN!? My boyfriend was kidnapped and that Bastard is at fault! I will not calm down before I found my Zhan and that receptionist is punished! And now let go!!" Yibo hissed and tried to pull his arm out of the gardener's strong grip. But instead of letting him go, Bowen tightened his grip and pulled Yibo inside the guest room before locking the door from the inside so Yibo was not able to leave.  

"And I say, calm down! You will not gain anything from your behavior. I know you are worried about Xiao Zhan, we all are! But hurting someone else to let out your anger is not an option."

"Are you crazy? What do you know? My Zhan was kidnapped as a kid and experienced the worst things! Now he is almost cured of that but he got kidnapped once again! Why him? Why is it always him? Why must my Zhan always suffer? We were always with him, every day someone was at his side... he felt safe.... But he still got kidnapped... What must he think now.... He must think we left him... I wanted to pick him up but he declined ... he believed that my brother arrived and would be home soon... but he got kidnapped...." Yibo said while his gaze was unfocused.

Bowen understood that Yibo thought it was partly his fault. Haikuan thought so too. But no one except the kidnapper is at fault. The receptionist too and he will lose his job, Bowen will make sure of that.

He saw Yibo keep on mumbling broken sentences and he knew Yibo was close to breaking down. He carefully walked up to him and took him into his arms. Yibo let it happen and started to cry.

"My Zhan is scared. We have to save him... We have to..." He mumbled while Bowen stroke Yibo's back gently.

It would be a lie to say Bowen was not worried. He was scared to death and wanted to break down too but someone had to keep a clear head. When he felt Yibo getting tired he carefully put him on his bed where the young adult fell asleep immediately while dreaming of his boyfriend. Bowen sat next to him and watched Yibo having his restless sleep.

Before Bowen went to sleep next to Yibo he walked to the door and unlocked it. He believed that Yibo would not continue his plans tomorrow. Then he laid down on the other side of the bed and fell, like everyone else, in a restless sleep.  

The next morning it was MianMian who woke up first very early. After her morning sickness calmed down and she returned from the bathroom, she walked back to the bed and covered the still deeply sleeping FanXing with the blanked before taking a shower.

When she was done, she looked for Haikuan and found him sleeping on the couch in the living room. Instead of waking him up she chose to kiss his cheeks before walking to the kitchen preparing breakfast. Two times she almost burned down the kitchen as her thoughts were with Xiao Zhan.

"Pull yourself together! Do you want to kill everyone!" She reprimanded herself before concentrating on the breakfast. When she was done, she set the table before deciding to wake up the gardener first. She did not wanted to disturb her fiance's sleep. He needed it.

She softly knocked on the door and when she did not received and answer she walked in, only to cover her mouth to not let out an inappropriate laughter.

'If Xiao Zhan would see this he would be very happy. He would tease Yibo for sure...' She thought amused and decided to take a picture in order to show it to Xiao Zhan later.

In front of her on the bed were laying Li Bowen and Yibo still deeply sleeping while Yibo held onto Bowen, his head rested on the gardener's chest. He even drooled a little bit.

MianMian was at loss, not wanting to wake up anyone in this house. So she stood there not knowing what to do. It was Yibo who started to move and MianMian knew the young adult would wake up soon so she decided, for Xiao Zhan's sake, to film the happenings in front of her.

Yibo slowly opened his eyes two minutes later. First he seemed to not know where he was but then he remembered the kidnapping, his plan to punish the receptionist and the gentle consoling of the gardener. When he realized the position he was in he was shocked about his unusual behavior and quickly escaped the bed without waking Bowen up. He stared at the gardener before shaking his head confused.

MianMian chuckled. "You would do well to finally admit that you like him. It would make your life a lot easier."

"I do not!" Yibo hissed while his ears turned red.

"You are blushing, Yibo...." MianMian pointed out before turning off the camera without Yibo noticing. She saw Yibo looked pale and one could see he fell asleep while crying. Haikuan did not look different when everyone inside the house sat at the dining table for breakfast 15 minutes later.

When MianMian saw only FanXing eating she decided to not eat as well. The tired Haikuan saw that and frowned.

"MianMian, you have to eat. What you are doing is not good for the baby." He said worried but MianMian shrugged.

"I know. But you, Yibo and Bowen are not eating either. Why should I eat then? Guys, I know you are worried. I am too! He is my son too! But it will not change anything nor help him if you guys stop eating. What will he think when he comes back and sees that you all look starved? He will feel guilty and probably decide to stop eating as well! Is that what you want? If not, then eat now!" MianMian said a little bit angry.

The three men felt guilty. They knew MianMian was right so they ate, despite feeling not hungry at all.

'I hope we will find you soon, Xiao Zhan. No one is functioning right when you are not here.... Please be safe...' She thought worried before she reached for her own breakfast.  

"FanXing, its time for kindergarten. Come." MianMian said tired as she did not sleep well last night. Moreover she needs to take care of Haikuan, Yibo and even Bowen as the three of them are not doing so well. Bowen was the only one who happens to have at least a little bit of a clear head.

When Bowen saw FanXing coming down the stairs he signaled the little boy to come to him.

"What do you think about Yibo accompanying you to kindergarten today? Your mother needs rest and so does Haikuan." Bowen said and FanXing's eyes started to shine.

"That would be awesome! Can big brother come too? I want to play with both of them." FanXing said and Bowen sadly shook his head.

"Not for now. Your big brother is ... he will be not at home for a while but he comes back soon and then you can play with him. Today it will be only Yibo. Just say that you want to play with him in kindergarten. Okay?" Bowen said and the little boy nodded excited before running towards his mother.

"Mommy, mommy. I want Uncle Bo to bring me to kindergarten today. I want to play with him there."

Yibo did not want to. He wanted to wait for a call from the police, announcing they have found his boyfriend but at the end he went with FanXing. Not only because the little boy was pleading nonstop but also because his brother, MianMian and even Bowen told him to go so he had something to do. It was better than staying at home drowning in all the negative thoughts.

Bowen and MianMian took care of the still exhausted Haikuan who kept on staring at his phone waiting for the police to call. At some point he did not want to wait anymore and made his way to the police station with MianMian and Bowen accompanying him.

"Sir, we do our best but at the moment we have no clue." The officer said after Haikuan yelled at him.

"No clue!? There is a god damn CCTV with the image of the kidnapper! Even the car including the license plate is visible! You have enough clues to bring my son back home! But what are you doing? Sitting here while doing nothing!"

"Sir, that is not true. I understand that you are emotional right now but we are trying our best..." The officer tried to explain but before he could end his sentences MianMian stepped forward and slapped him.

"Instead of just sitting here you should be out there looking for our son! We don't need your understanding, we need you to work in order to find Xiao Zhan! Every day counts and you as police officer should now that! Do your work properly!"MianMian said angry and everyone was surprised by that, including the police.  

The rest of the day MianMian and Haikuan sat hand in hand at home waiting for a call from the police. Bowen was in the kitchen and cooked dinner as Yibo and FanXing would be home soon. But Bowen too looked to the phone from time to time, waiting worriedly for a sign from the police.

Just when Dinner was done FanXing and Yibo arrived.

"FanXing, how was kindergarten. Did you have fun?" MianMian asked tired but the little boy shook his head.

"Uncle Bo did not play with me. He would always look out of the window or at his phone. He ignored me completely..." He complained and MianMian stroke her son's hair.

"Forgive him, FanXing. He is not in a good mood. We all miss Xiao Zhan...."MianMian explained.

"Then call him and tell him to come home. I miss him too." FanXing said and no one knew what to say to that. It was Bowen who quickly changed the topic by calling everyone for Dinner.

Once again it was only FanXing who ate happily. Yibo and Haikuan only started to eat after MianMian threatened she would stop eating for days otherwise.

While FanXing went to bed on his own at 10 pm, Yibo and Haikuan kept sitting on the couch in the living room without the intention to sleep. No one said a word.

MianMian stood in the background and watched the two brothers while sighing from time to time.

"MianMian, you should go to bed too. I will take care of these two. You must be tired." Bowen said next to her.

"We all are tired. Look at them, not taking care of themselves properly.... How would it look like if I go to bed just because I am tired while Haikuan and Yibo stay awake the whole night despite being tired too? Xiao Zhan is missing... We cant do anything but wait and this is pure torture... I want to be there for them... Xiao Zhan is my child too..."MianMian said while watching Haikuan taking his phone into his hands just to put it back on the coffee table seconds later.

"I know that. I understand that. But you have to remember that Xiao Zhan is not your only child. There is one growing inside of you too and it needs a lot of care. Especially now when you are this emotional it will feel that. I will take care of them, go to bed." He said and MianMian sighed once again.

"You went through a lot too. I can see how tired you are. You love Xiao Zhan as much as we do.... I am happy about that. The more people Xiao Zhan has around him who loves him the faster he will recover from everything that happened in the past and will happen in the future. Take care of yourself too, Mr. Li. If there are any news, I will be with FanXing,, so call me." She said, stroke Bowen's arm and then joined her youngest son who was sleeping soundly in his bed.

Despite being tired Bowen decided to not go to bed and keep an eye at the two brothers in the living room. He sat down on the other couch and waited. When he talked with FanXing earlier he got to know that Yibo did not say one word the whole day. Usually he would just say whatever he wanted whenever he wanted but since Xiao Zhan's disappearance it was like he lost the purpose of his life. With Haikuan it was no different.

Li Bowen was happy.

Not because Xiao Zhan was kidnapped and everyone was slowly losing their minds, himself included. But he was happy that despite his past, Xiao Zhan found such a wonderful family who cared for him.

Then in the middle of the night Bowen, Haikuan and Yibo were too tired and they fell asleep.

In the morning FanXing woke up and walked sleepy towards the bedroom of Xiao Zhan and Yibo. He entered it, climbed on the bed inside and soon fell asleep again. MianMian found him later after looking for him everywhere and covered him properly with a blanket before stroking gently his hair.

"I know .... I know ....." She whispered before heading downstairs. She decided to not bring FanXing to the kindergarten today.

She made breakfast but decided to not wake the three sleeping men up as she could see they fell asleep very late. So she cleaned the house in order to have something to do.

During the midday around 1 pm while she watched FanXing eating suddenly Haikuan's phone rang and woke up everyone inside the living room. Haikuan quickly grabbed his phone but instead of the number of the police officer, who investigated Xiao Zhan's case, it was the number of one of his patients. He sighed tiredly, signaled everyone it was false alarm and accepted the call.  

"Hello? Meng Yao? It is not a good time right now. I have some family problems right now. I hope you understand." He said while Yibo frowned hearing his friend's name out of his brother's mouth.

"I promise I will call you back as soon as the problem is solved but I really cant talk to you know." He was about to cut the call but stopped when he heard not only Meng Yao's weak voice but the name of Xiao Zhan as well.

"My friend, Xiao Zhan. Help him."

"What? Did you say Xiao Zhan? You know where Xiao Zhan is? Where is he? Where is my son???" Haikuan asked with a desperate voice.

Now Yibo was all ears. Why would his friend call his brother? How did he know about the kidnapping and how could he know where Xiao Zhan was?

"Dr. Liu.... my friend ....Xiao Zhan .. help him ... we ... holiday house.... Changbai Mountain..." That was everything Haikuan heard before the call got disconnected. He quickly tried to call Meng Yao back but a mechanic voice told him the phone was turned off.

"What is going on...?" Haikuan mumbled.

"Brother, how do you know Meng Yao?" Yibo asked and Haikuan looked at him in surprise.

"He is my patient... how do you know him?" The older brother asked back.

"He is my and Zhan's friend. He once lived in the same orphanage as Zhan but later got adopted by this creepy He Peng. Why did you never spoke about him?" Yibo asked.

"I did! He is the patient from America I told you about. He returned to china a while ago and-"

"Wait! The one ... the one who is being treated like a .... slave?"

"Yes, by his brother... but I cant tell you more than that." Haikuan answered.

"No need... I can guess it now... His brother is creepy and definitely dangerous.... Thank god you took Zhan home before he could lay his hands on him..." Yibo said and Haikuan looked at his younger brother confused.

"What do you mean?" He wanted to know.

"Meng Yao's so called brother, He Peng, you know him. He was the one who wanted to adopt Zhan the moment he saw him. Zhan told me about it and how scared he was... that was the reason he run away and ... well... hurt himself in the process... Don't you remember him?"

"I do ... That man .... So he is the one who .... I did not like him the moment I saw him ... how he looked at Xiao Zhan trying to get his attention... Meng Yao was with him since the age of 14?.... What he must went through.... I don't want to imagine..." Haikuan said.

"Brother, what did he want? Why did Meng Yao call? He knows about Zhan's kidnapping... did you told him? Because I did not.... Does he know where Zhan is?" Yibo bombarded his brother with questions but the older on kept quiet, thinking carefully. Then he dialed a number and waited.

"Director, here is Dr. Liu. I have a question. What can you tell me about a boy called Meng Yao? He once lived inside your orphanage..." Haikuan asked and listened for a while. Yibo nervously played with his hand, while his eyes never left his brother's face.

Bowen saw that and put his own hands above Yibo's to calm not only Yibodown but himself as well. Yibo let it happen.

MianMian joined the three men while FanXing followed his mother out of the dining room and observed the adults confused.

When the director explained the situation back then, Haikuan thought about something.

"Director, do you have a photo of this teacher? What was his name... Mr. Cheng? ..... really? Then can you send it to me immediately? .... No, I will explain it later. Please just send the photo to me.... Thank you." Haikuan then cut the call and only a minute later he received a message with a picture of Mr. Cheng.

"Its him... the kidnapper... he kidnapped Xiao Zhan!" Haikuan shouted and jumped up, followed by the others. "Meng Yao said Xiao Zhan needs help .... he said a destination... what was it ... something with a Mountain and a holiday house ...." Haikuan said and tried his best to remember Meng Yao's words. Why did he not listen more closely to what that boy said....?

"Holiday house....?" Yibo mumbled and remembered Meng Yao mentioning a holiday house once during a conversation. "He Peng has a house in Changbai Mountain if I remember it right." He said and Haikuan nodded excited.

"That is right! It was Changbai Mountain. We need to go there immediately! Lets go!" He said to Yibo and Bowen and then turned to his fiance. "MianMian, I need to go. You stay here with FanXing. We will be back soon." He said and MianMian nodded.

"Bring him home, Kuan...." She pleaded before watching the three men leaving the house in hurry.

"Mommy, what is kidnapping?" Little FanXing asked his mother.

"A nightmare." She answered and took her son back to the dining room. Now everything she could do was waiting.  

The three men climbed into Haikuan's car after calling the police and made their way to Dr. Wang Yi Zhou and then to Changbai Mountain. They took the Doctor alongs with them not only because they were scared Xiao Zhan was hurt but because Haikuan noticed how weak Meng Yao's voice sounded. Haikuan was sure that Meng Yao was in pain, he just did not know how bad his condition was.

During the 5 hours long drive not only Yibo but everyone inside the car were at the verse of going crazy.

"Brother, cant you drive faster? We need to help Zhan!" Yibo complained multiple times and wanted to drive the car himself despite not having a license.

"Yibo, if I drive any faster our wish to help Xiao Zhan is worthless if we get into an accident on our way to him. I already drive as fast as possible. Now please stop distracting me." Haikuan reprimanded Yibo softly. He could understand Yibo's worries and therefore did not use any harsh words.

Li Bowen kept quiet the whole time, being deep in thoughts. Dr. Wang Yi Zhou tried to get him out of his thoughts a few times but when the gardener did not react he let him be.

Thanks to Haikuan's driving skills they reached the holiday house of He Peng in 4 and a half hours. The first ones to leave the car were Yibo and Bowen, running as fast as they could towards the front door, which was thankfully not locked. Haikuan and Dr. Wang followed them right away.

The moment they entered they could hear Xiao Zhan's pleadings and immediately opened the door the room where his voice could be heard. What they saw shocked them to the core.

He Peng was laying on top of a crying and pleading Xiao Zhan, holding the younger boys's arms tight while licking over his chest. Xiao Zhan was fighting strongly but that did not hinder He Peng the slightest.

Li Bowen run up to the bed, grabbed the surprised He Peng and pulled him away. While the gardener caged the furious He Peng on the floor, holding him in place, Yibo run to Xiao Zhan to calm him down. The younger boy however kept fighting with closed eyes while pleading.

"Go away. No, I don't want. No! No! Go away! No! No!"

"Zhan, its me! Zhan! Stop it, Zhan! Its me Yibo. Open you eyes and calm down.... Zhan!"

"I don't want. Go away! Go away!" Xiao Zhan did not hear Yibo and therefore did not calm down. He even scratched Yibo's neck while fighting. Yibo turned to Dr. Wang and his brother who were standing next to him.

"Do something! Please." He pleaded and Dr. Wang took out a syringe but before he stepped closer Yibo stopped him.

"What are you doing!?" He asked shocked, eyeing the syringe.  

"Sedative. The only way Xiao Zhan can calm down now. You speak to him and let me do my work!" Dr. Wang ordered and then stepped closer before injecting Xiao Zhan the sedative.

Yibo glared at the Doctor but complied to his order and kept talking to his boyfriend who slowly, very slowly got weaker.

"Zhan, please open your eyes. Its over. Look at me, hm?" Yibo asked while stroking Xiao Zhan's forehead and cheeks. The younger boy got tired fast and was only able to open his eyes for a short amount of time. He saw Yibo but duo to his tiredness he was not sure if he was dreaming or if Yibo was really there but at least he stopped struggling and even smiled before closing his eyes and falling asleep.

Dr. Wang wanted to check on Xiao Zhan but Yibo did not let him. He did not want anyone to touch his boyfriend for now. Dr. Wang sighed and looked at Haikuan who shook his head slightly before turning to the strongly struggling He Peng who was still held on the ground by Li Bowen.

"Where is Meng Yao?" Haikuan asked him.

"Let me go this instant!" He Peng yelled at Bowen but the latter ignored him.

"I asked you something! Where is Meng Yao? Tell me!" Haikuan ordered but He Peng only huffed As that man did not want to answer, Haikuan left the room after he checked on Xiao Zhan. He walked through the house calling for his patient and found him a few minutes later unconscious in the bedroom next to Xiao Zhan's.

He first thought Meng Yao was okay, sleeping peacefully but that changed fast after he took away the blanked and saw the condition the boy was in. Haikuan quickly called for Dr. Wang who came immediately after hearing the panic in his best friend's voice.

Dr. Wang entered the room and too was shocked. He new right away the reason for Meng Yao being like that and wanted to go back to He Peng to beat the hell out of him. But thankfully he stopped that thought and quickly started to treated Meng Yao the best way he could outside of his hospital.

Haikuan let his friend do his work and went back to the other bedroom. Yibo looked at his brother questioningly before turning his attention back to his sleeping boyfriend who still shed tears, even asleep.

"What the hell did you do to him!?? He is your brother for god's sake!!" Haikuan shouted to the man on the ground.

"He was never my brother. He was someone I wanted to possess! I wanted him the moment I saw him delivering newspaper... The only way to have him was for my father to adopt him. I did so many things with him... he is not my brother!" He Peng answered and smirked.

"Are you even human!?" Li Bowen asked aghast.

"Yes I am! Of course I am. And humans have needs!! I needed him to satisfy my needs and he did so incredibly. He was better than anyone else.... I got addicted ... and then I saw him.... I saw Xiao Zhan and I knew I wanted him ... LET ME GO!!" He Peng screamed loudly while trying his best to free himself which was impossible with Li Bowen's strength.

Yibo, who listened to the man's nonsense, held his boyfriend closer to protect him. No one would touch his boyfriend, the least He Peng. While carefully holding Xiao Zhan he glared at He Peng hatefully.

Then the police arrived, together with the ambulance. Bowen handed He Peng to the police and walked up Xiao Zhan to check himself if everything was alright. Haikuan was still shocked about He Peng's reasoning.

"You .... ! Why did you-? Did you even see the condition Meng Yao is in right now!? What you did to him!?" Haikuan said to the meanwhile handcuffed He Peng who was everything but scared getting arrested.

"Isn't it your fault?" He Peng smirked and Haikuan looked at him confused and shocked at the same time.

"W-What?" He asked He Peng.

"If you didn't adopt that boy, if you wouldn't have take Xiao Zhan from me I wouldn't use Yao alone to satisfy my needs. If I had Xiao Zhan, then Yao wouldn't be the only one to satisfy me. I would have taken turns... It is your fault that I had to use Yao alone." He Peng said furious.

Haikuan did not know what to do, what to think... Was it really his fault? But even if it was, he would still adopt Xiao Zhan... Not only because he promised Wang Ji to take care of him, no ... It was because Xiao Zhan was the most innocent and purest human on earth. He wanted to heal that broken boy that never received enough love in his life... or in his previous one.

It was not his fault, he thought. He Peng was the guilty one here. He wanted to make Haikuan feeling hurt and guilty, he wanted to take revenge on him that way but Haikuan did not fell for it and He Peng saw that when looking into his determined eyes.

He Peng huffed. "I know you hate me. I can see it clearly in your eyes, but you should hate yourself too. I am right. You are guilty too. You not only took him away, adopted him before I could, no! You even interrupted me today when I was so close to get what I wanted 2 years ago already. This boy is mine! I wanted him first!!" He Peng screamed and struggled but the police held him tight.

Haikuan slapped He Peng across the face. Hard! Everyone could hear that sound, even Dr. Wang who helped the paramedics to transport Meng Yao from the bed to the ambulance. Yibo was shocked. Not because he thought that He Peng did not deserved it but because he has never seen his brother lose control. He never saw him hurting someone else, be in human or animal. He was always the soft and gentle type.

Yibo could only guess how his brother might feel now and wanted to go to him but Bowen stopped him. "No. Let him be. He needs this. Just concentrate at m- .... at Xiao Zhan." Bowen whispered and stroke gently Xiao Zhan's hair. Yibo saw that but let it happen.

He Peng first was shocked at this painful slap but then he laughed.

"What now? You look like you want to kill me... do it then. Kill me if you dare. Come one!" He Peng provoked and Haikuan walked up to the smirking man. The police got nervous and wanted to interfere but then Haikuan stopped. He stood only inches away from He Peng.

"Live! You have to live!! So you will have to remember that not only Meng Yao but my son as well are living happily after overcoming the encounter with you. They escaped you before you could kill Meng Yao and rape my son! You will have to remember that you will never see  nor touch them ever again for the rest of your life! You will receive your punishment soon enough!" Haikuan said and turned around.

"If I will get punished or not... we will see. Just make sure to treat Xiao Zhan well until I come and take him to his rightful place... which is in my bedroom between my mattress and my body!" He Peng laughed and was lead away by the police.

"Haikuan, are your okay...?" Bowen asked worried.

"I am fine. Lets take Xiao Zhan to the hospital and then home. He needs rest and I want him to wake up in his own bedroom, with us surrounding him. I want to make sure he sees that he is safe and we are there for him." Haikuan said and Bowen nodded.

"Brother.... What He Peng said earlier.... He will receive punishment, right?" Yibo asked his brother unsure, not letting go of Xiao Zhan. Before Haikuan could say something it was Bowen who answered.

"He will!" He said determined. Both brothers looked at the gardener, surprised at his determination, before Yibo gently took his boyfriend on his arms and carried him to the second ambulance where Dr. Wang already waited. Haikuan and Bowen followed them while the police stayed behind to secure evidence such as fingerprints, bed sheets full with with semen and blood, video footage from He Peng's car and many more.  

Meng Yao and Xiao Zhan were brought to the hospital immediately where Dr. Wang checked on them. He did not allow anyone else to examine the two boys, which was also the wish of Yibo and Haikuan. Dr. Wang quickly took care of the scratches on Yibo's neck. 

The first one who was examined was Meng Yao. It took a while but 30 Minutes later Dr. Wang came out of the examination room. Yibo, Bowen and Haikuan were waiting outside and stood up when Dr. Wang came out.

"How bad is it?" Haikuan asked his friend after seeing his expression. Dr. Wang sighed.

"Not good. He is very weak as he lost a lot of blood but we took care of that. For now he will have to stay inside the hospital and take medication. It will take a while before his bottom is fully healed but it will not hinder his daily life much. For example he can sit, lay on his back and he can use the toilet without much problems but for a while... he will not be able to ... well ... sleeping with someone and being the receiving one. His behind is damaged and needs time to heal. But ...."

"But what?" Haikuan asked.

"But until his bottom his healed he will not be able to move much. He needs to stay in bed for at least 3 months. He is sleeping right now." Dr. Wang explained and when he saw the worried faces of the others he smiled slightly. "He will be fine. As long as he does what I tell him and takes his medication regular he will turn back to the healthy man he was. Only his mind will need a lot of care. Especially from you, Haikuan."

Haikuan sighed in relieve. 'He will be fine.... He will be fine...'

"I will take good care of him. I promise you that, Haikuan. Now stop worrying and take care of Xiao Zhan. I will go and check on him now. No, Yibo. You will stay outside! You too, Bowen!" Dr. Wang said when he saw the gardener and Yibo trying to follow him. He shook his head in amusement before examining Xiao Zhan.

Only 10 Minutes later he came out again.

"He has a wound on his neck, which I treated right away so there should be no problems. He was not raped! Physically he is alright, but duo to the sleeping drug by the kidnapper and the sedative I gave him, he will not wake up anytime soon, he will sleep at least for two days. It will take time until both things are out if his blood system. But the moment he woke up he should eat. He did not eat properly in the last days. As for his psyche ... I cant say anything. That is your area, Haikuan. You can take him home now. Meng Yao will stay here, I will give him a private room and will personally take care of him." Dr. Wang said and walked up to his friend. "Whatever you have in mind now, remember one thing. Nothing is your fault!"

Haikuan nodded. He knew it was not his fault but he still felt guilty.

"Thanks, Yi Zhou." He said and smiled at his friend before turning to Yibo and Bowen.

"Okay guys, we should-" He stopped speaking when he saw there was no one. Yibo already went inside the room Xiao Zhan was in and Bowen stood some meters way speaking with someone on the phone. Haikuan saw the gardener being serious, then it looked he was pleading until he seemed to get what he wanted as Haikuan saw him smiling fondly.

To not disturb Bowen during his private phone call and because he finally wanted to see his son, Haikuan smiled and entered the room. Dr. Wang on the other hand chuckled and went back to Meng Yao in order to check on him.  

Two hours later, it was already 6 pm, Haikuan's car arrived at home. Bowen said he had to go but promised to be back tomorrow. MianMian already got a call from her fiance and was waiting eagerly for their return. She cooked something and even cleaned the bedroom of Yibo and Xiao Zhan while FanXing was picked up by his grandfather hours ago.

Yibo carefully took his boyfriend on his arms once again, carried him upstairs to their room and placed him gently on their bed. He then took his time to clean Xiao Zhan before taking a short shower on his own. When he stepped out of the bedroom, his brother already waited with something to eat. Before Yibo could decline Haikuan looked at him tiredly.

"Please, just eat. You did not eat anything today and you need strength to take care of Xiao Zhan." He said and Yibo took the plate out of his brother's hand. While Yibo was eating, Haikuan sat on the bed and watched Xiao Zhan sleeping peacefully.

"Don't worry, I will not let anything happen to you again. I promise." He whispered.

"I am done, brother." Yibo said and Haikuan smiled.

"Wasn't that hard, was it? Now go sleep, you are tired." Haikuan said and Yibo looked at him with raised brows. "I will go to bed too." Haikuan answered and Yibo nodded satisfied before going to bed, careful not to squeeze his boyfriend too much while cuddling.

Soon Haikuan stepped into his bedroom and joined MianMian who was waiting for him in bed.

"FanXing?" Haikuan asked while MianMian snuggled up to her fiance.

"He is with my father. I thought it would be better that way or else he would throw a tantrum if he knew his big brother is back but he is not allowed to see him. Moreover my father misses him a lot." MianMian explained and sighed when she found the perfect position.

"Tell me what exactly happened, Kuan... I want to know...." She then asked and Haikuan started to explain. During that MianMian sometimes got angry, sometimes she cried.

"He went through so much ... I hope he did not lost his smile ...." Haikuan thought out aloud.

"We will see if he wakes up. Until then we cant do anything but wait and care for him." MianMian answered.

'If he really lost it then I am sure I can bring it back...' She thought before both fell asleep.  

The next morning MianMian woke up duo her morning sickness once again and while she was in the bathroom Haikuan woke up and stayed with her while gently patting her back. Then both took a shower together before going down to prepare breakfast. Soon Yibo came down to get himself something to eat.

"Wait a little bit more, Yibo. The breakfast is almost finished. Is Xiao Zhan awake?" MianMian asked and Yibo shook his head.

"No, not yet. But at least he does not seem to have nightmares.... Brother when will he wake up?" Yibo asked his brother.

"When the sedative and the sleeping drug are out of his blood system. It seems it was too much. Yi Zhou explained it yesterday." Haikuan answered.

"Right... I forgot." Yibo mumbled and MianMian smiled before ruffling through the young man's hair. 

"Hey, I am not a kid." Yibo complained.

"Yes you are." Haikuan and MianMian answered at once and laughed softly until Haikuan's phone rang.

"Yes, Dr. Liu speaking?" Haikuan answered.

"......."

"That is right. Is there a problem?"

"......."

"Yes, I did. Why is that important?" Haikuan said slightly angry and Yibo looked at him curiously.

"......."

"Why? Whatever it is, cant it wait? I need to stay at home in case my son wakes up!"

"......."

"The documents? Just what is going on?"

"......."

"Fine!! But first I will eat something! Then I will come." Haikuan said and cut the call.

"Brother, who was that? Is something wrong?" Yibo asked and Haikuan shook his head.

"I am not sure. It was the police. They want me to come to them, probably to ask me things regarding Xiao Zhan's kidnapping..." Haikuan said and smiled seeing his future wife setting the table.

"I will come with you! If it is something with Zhan I want to know too!" Yibo said determined and Haikuan knew there was no chance to change his little brother's mind.  

After the breakfast Yibo and Haikuan made their way to the police after MianMian had to promise Yibo at least three times to call if Xiao Zhan woke up or if there are any changes in his condition.

When they arrived at the police station, Haikuan parked the car and the brothers entered the building. The leading officer who was investigating the case of Xiao Zhan already waited for them and when he saw Yibo and Haikuan he signaled them to sit down in front of him.

"Officer, what more do you need to know? I thought everything was clear? He Peng raped my friend, kidnapped my boyfriend and almost raped him! What more do you need to know?" Yibo asked annoyed.

"We already know what happened and are currently requesting the prosecutor for a warrant." The officer answered and both brother's frowned.

"Then why did you call us here if everything is solved?" Haikuan wanted to know.

"Well... during our investigation we took all existing evidence from that house in Changbai Mountians, including fingerprints and blood. And with these we found out that your son, Xiao Zhan is a child who has gone missing 14 years ago. His parents, or more like his mother lost him while the boy played at the playground and immediately reported him as missing. They gave my colleagues back then his DNA and fingerprints, which got saved in our system. Unfortunately the police could not find that boy and therefore it was an unresolved case.

That missing child turned out to be your son, Xiao Zhan. Of course we needed to call you here to check why he is with you. That is why we wanted to see the adoption papers and asked you to bring them." The officer said and took the documents in order to check them.

While he made phone call after phone call, the brothers could not do anything but wait. While Haikuan was rather calm, Yibo got nervous. He was scared that Xiao Zhan's real parents would come and take his boyfriend away from him. Of course he would be happy if Xiao Zhan found his biological family but ... he did not want Xiao Zhan to leave with them.

Haikuan knew what was happening inside of his little brother so he took his hand and reassured him that everything will turn out alright.

After the last call with the lotus orphanage the officer turned back to the two brothers.

"We checked and everything seems to be alright with the papers. Xiao Zhan's adoption is legal too." He said and Yibo rolled his eyes.

"Of course. What did you think? That we kidnapped him?" Yibo asked annoyed.

"I am sorry but we must check every clue given! Even if that means to hurt your feelings!" The officer answered strictly.

"My brother is just overwhelmed. Please forgive him, officer." Haikuan asked and the officer calmed down.  

"Its okay. But to be honest ... to me it looks like you already know about you son being a missing child.... How come? And why did you not call the police? That way his parents might have found him earlier?" The officer asked and reprimanded Haikuan at the same time.

"Well, I am not only his father, but his psychologist as well. We found out about his kidnapping during hypnosis one year ago but Xiao Zhan asked us to not call the police before he found out what really happened back then. And the only way to find that out is using hypnosis." Haikuan explained.

"So? Did you found out everything?" The officer asked while looking at the entry of the building from time to time which Yibo found suspicious.

"Almost. There are still some things unknown. But at the moment I cant tell you more as my son does not want that. That is the reason why we did not call the police after all." Haikuan said apologetic.

"Hey, why do you keep looking at the entrance the whole time!?" Yibo asked irritated.

"In our records we found a phone number from Xiao Zhan's family. Of course we called them after it was sure Xiao Zhan is their child. He must be on his way now...." The officer mumbled.

"Hey, JJ, come over for a moment, please. We need your help here." Someone shouted and the officer turned back to the brothers.

"I will help my colleague. I will be back soon so stay here until he arrives." The officer said and left

Yibo jumped up and turned to Haikuan. "Brother, lets go." He said but Haikuan shook his head.

"No, Yibo. Sooner or later we have to face the truth. They are Xiao Zhan's family too and have every right to see their son. Even if you run away now, nothing will change. So please calm down and sit." Haikuan said and pulled gently at Yibo's wrist. The latter sighed and sat back, nervously waiting for Xiao Zhan's parents to arrive.

8 Minutes later when Yibo looked once again to the entrance he rolled his eyes and huffed. Haikuan looked at his little brother confused.

"What is wrong?" He asked him.

"I knew it!" Yibo said and smirked.

"You knew what?" Haikuan wanted to know.

"I knew sooner or later Mr. Li will be thrown into jail. Look there! He is being taken away by two police officers." Yibo said and Haikuan looked to where is little brother pointed at.

And it was true. Li Bowen stepped into the police station, escorted by a police man on each side. When Bowen saw the two brothers he walked towards them with a little smile. Haikuan was confused.

"Look at that! If that isn't Mr. Li... what did you do this time? Harassed other people?" Yibo asked arrogant.

"Damn, I was found out.... But you were so busy the last few days and had not much time for me... So I thought I should harass someone else ... I am sorry. It will not happen again. No need to be jealous!" Bowen admitted rather quickly.

"I hope you will savor your time in jail. I knew you will land there sooner or later and I was right!" Yibo grinned.

"Will you visit me?" Bowen asked hopefully.

"Not in your wildest dreams." Yibo answered.

"Poor me...." The gardener sighed before looking at Yibo. "You know what? I cant do this. I decided to not go to Jail. I will miss you and your attitude too much, Yibo."Bowen said and winked at the young adult.

"Well, fortunately that is not for you to decide. Take care." Yibo smirked again.

One of the police officer next to Bowen looked around and soon found the person he searched for.

"JJ! I brought him here!" He shouted and the police officer, who led Xiao Zhan's case, nodded before walking towards Yibo, Haikuan and Bowen.

"Thank you boys. I will take over." The officer said and the other two who escorted Li Bowen inside the building left.

"Dr. Liu, let me introduce this man to you. His name is Li Bowen and is the biological brother of Xiao Zhan." The officer announced.

Li Bowen now looked kind of nervous but still bowed towards Haikuan and Yibo. Haikuan was speechless and Yibo .... he jumped up totally shocked.

"Excuse me, HE IS WHAT!?!?" He screamed loudly.

Okay, fine! This was not a surprise.... But it would have been one if my readers wouldn't be that smart.... I even tried to hide the truth ..... *sigh*

Our Yibo is soo shocked... hopefully he will be alright knowing that his "archenemy" is his future brother in law... but.... come on its quite funny, isn't it? Our Yibo needs to be a good boy now xD xD 

Our Zhan may be safe from his kidnapper but .... very soon *cough* next chapter *cough* he has to accept the fact that his biological brother was with him for a long time already.... lets see what happens :)

There are not many chapters left .... 

The next chapter will have different POV's and it will come out on sunday. No, I mean not tomorrow! Unfortunately I mean the sunday next week. ^^
