I give up guys^^ I will write a chapter as long as I have to until i found a good cut^^  So this one is over 5000... 

Lets see if Haikuan and Xiao Zhan have fun on their Father-and-son-Day :)

When Yibo left I closed the door. "Alright, Xiao Zhan. Lets get ready." he said and both of us went to our room to get what we need. I took my bag and my jacket and Xiao Zhan too came down with his jacket.

"Are you ready? Lets not forget to feed your little bunny." I said to him. He nodded and run to the kitchen and came back with a water bottle, carrots and hay.

"Don't carry everything on your own. Come here, I will help you." I took the hay out of his hands and we both made our way to feed the bunny.

We sat down for around 10 minutes and played with that tiny animal. "Xiao Zhan?" I said and waited till he looked at me. "Its been a few days now... do you have a name for it?" I asked him.

He just shook his head. "Its okay. You will find one." I said and smiled. He took out his notebook.

>What if I don't?<

"You will. Believe me. The bunny is waiting to get a wonderful name. I know, when the time is right, you will have found one. And you will be very happy with your choice. Who knows, Maybe deep inside you found one aready you are just not aware of it yet." I said and ruffled through his hair.

"Now, lets go. Or else we don't have enough time." I smiled and held out my hand. He took it and let me help him up. Then we walked to the car and drove off.

"Xiao Zhan, is there something you want to do? Or maybe something you want to buy?" I asked him. I saw him looking out of the window while thinking. Then he had an idea and nodded his head.

"Alright. Then lets go grocery shopping first" I said and drove to the biggest supermarket in the city. When we arrived there I parked in the parking lot and turned to Xiao Zhan who was sitting next to me. "Xiao Zhan I have to make a call. Please wait a moment" I said to him and left the car when I saw him nodding.

I dialed a number and waited.

"Yes? Zhang speaking" someone took the call.

"Hello, its me Dr. Liu. Is everything prepared?" I asked the man on the other line.

"Everything is done. The supermarket is closed for 2 hours and the only customers there will be you and your son. Everyone else are my employees. Don't worry, there are not many females under them and as for the few on duty and I will tell them where to go so they don't cross your path. And I didn't tell them the reason why we do this today, so there will be no rumors."

"Thank you so very much, Mr. Zhang. I will repay the losses today." I promised.

"No need. You helped my daughter when she had a trauma. Losing her mother in front of her eyes were too much for her. She was only 8. Thanks to you she recovered. So you don't have to repay me today. This action today is my repayment for your help."

"How is your daughter now, by the way?" I asked him. I remember her. Her mother had a heart attack right in front of her. That 8 years old little girl didn't know what happened and thought her mother was just sleeping. So she took a blanked and covered her mother and herself. Mr. Zhang found them. He first thought both of them were sleeping but when he saw how pale his wife was, he checked at her and found out she was dead. The daughter was always asking for her mother. When they told her she was no more she locked her self in the room and whenever someone tried to get close to her she would throw something at that person. Mr. Zhang then called me.

"She is very well. She stopped asking for my wife. She realized now that she will not come back. At nights she still has difficulties to sleep in peace but the nightmares are less. Soon they will be gone. I am happy I have my daughter back. Thank you, Dr. Liu" he answered and I smiled.

"That is my job. I am happy I could help." I said. "I am in the parking lot. We will come up now. Its okay if there are females around 20 meters away from us but not closer than that." I explained.

"Alright. You can shop without worries." Mr. Zhang said.

"Thank you very much" I answered. I cut the call and went back into the car.

"Xiao Zhan when we are inside I want you to stay near me. Don't run to far away, alright?"

He nodded and we walked out of the garage into the supermarket. Xiao Zhan looked from side to side and I could how excited he was. 'It seems like he never saw something like this... I guess he never went shopping with one of his former families.' I thought sadly and took out my list where everything we need is written down. 

"Lets see.... We need a vegetables. What should we buy, Xiao Zhan?" I asked him and he pointed to the carrots. "Of course carrots. I think 3 kilo are enough as we have to feed your little one too." I said and saw Xiao Zhan weighting the carrots bringing 3 kilo. "Thank you. What do you think we need more?" I asked him. He looked around and pointed to the beans, cucumbers, paprika and tomatoes. "Alright"

We bought vegetables, fruits, eggs, meat, noodles, potatoes, rice, hay,  juice and tea. Xiao Zhan was looking around and when he saw what he was looking for he smiled brightly and put it into the shopping cart. "Vanilla?" I asked confused and Xiao Zhan nodded happily. 

'As long as he is happy I don't mind buying him every vanilla in whole china' I smiled.

We went trough the  supermarket without seeing a female employee. Mr. Zhang kept his promise. 

I was reading out my list and Xiao Zhan brought the things I mentioned. "Now we still need milk, cocoa, coffee and dish soap." I said. Xiao Zhan ran and get those things.

"I guess we have everything. Is vanilla the only thing you want?" I asked. He thought for a while and then showed me his notebook.

>Can we buy more canvases?< He carefully looked at me. 

"Of course we can. Lets pay for these things and bring them to the car. Then we will buy canvases and maybe some paint and new brushes as well?" I suggested and he nodded with a bright smile.

We walked through the city and I tried my best so there were no women near him. It was more difficult that I thought. But I did it. We went into the art shop and looked around. "Xiao Zhan, take whatever you want." I offered. It took some time in that shop. Why? Because Xiao Zhan just couldn't choose. When he found something he liked he took it but when he saw something else he put the first thing away and took the second. I just had to laugh. I signaled the owner of the shop to take those things Xiao Zhan choose. The owner wrote everything down and his assistant put them in my car.

While Xiao Zhan was still choosing my phone signaled me I had a message. When I looked at it saw Yi Zhou's number. It was the prescription I need for the medication. I wrote him a 'Thank you' and brought my attention back to Xiao Zhan.

After 30 minutes we were done. We bought 12 canvases in different sizes, a lot of paint and a few new brushes. Just as I was about to pay I saw Xiao Zhan looking at a big canvas. It was really big and definitely didn't fit into my car. I guess that is why Xiao Zhan looks sad right now. I chuckled and turned to the shop owner. "Do you deliver too?" I asked him.

"Usually we don't, but I cant stand the sad look of your boy so we will make an exception for him" he said and laughed. I thanked him, gave him our address and paid for everything. We said goodbye and walked out of the shop. I saw a pharmacy 20 meters from us.

"Xiao Zhan we have to go in there too. I have to buy your medication." I said and together we walked there. But before we went in I stopped at the entry. There was a female on duty right now.

"Wait here for a bit, alright? I will be back in 5 minutes." He looked at me clueless but did what I asked him. I hurried up and bought the medication. Every minute I looked to Xiao Zhan to check if he was alright. He just stood there and looked at his reflection.

"Here are the medications, Sir. The blue bottle contains the pills for his stomach. He needs to take it after every meal till the doctor says otherwise. Don't worry, inside the pills is no chemicals. Everything is natural." The woman said.

I nodded and she gave me syringes, a bottle with clear fluid and a red bottle.

"The syringe will be used together with this fluid. Its a sedative. You will give it to him when he cant calm down even if you tried everything. This red bottle contains the pills for his heart. He has to take it after he calmed down from a panic attack. Only then, not earlier!" she explained to me in a serious tone. I signaled her that I understood.

"Good. Here are sleeping pills. But before he takes them he should try to sleep without them. Only if he really cant sleep the pills should be used. And keep in mind that you have to try to prevent any panic attacks. In case you forget how and when to use each medications I wrote everything down." She said and gave me the medication together with the manual.

"Thank you very much, Miss." I thanked her and put everything inside my bag.

"Who is that boy outside? Does he belong to you?" she asked.

"Yes. That is my son." I answered smilingly.

"You look very young for your age, Sir and your son is very cute." she said and observed Xiao Zhan.

"He indeed is very cute" I said and left the shop. When I stood next to Xiao Zhan he didn't notice me.

"That boy in the reflection is really handsome, don't you think?" I asked with a chuckle. Xiao Zhan's face turned red and he looked away. "Lets bring the medication to the car." I said and we walked to the vehicle. When everything was put inside and I closed the door, I suddenly felt a tug on my sleeves so I looked at Xiao Zhan. "Yes?" 

>Can we go to the park?<

"If that is what you want, of course. Lets go right away." I said and led him to the nearest park. There were a lot of people but surprisingly no woman. Most of them were fathers or grandfathers with they children and grandchildren.

We walked though the park and enjoyed the air and the surroundings. He pointed to a boy with his bicycle.

>Can I try that too?< he wrote and looked at me.

"Alright. Let us rent one." I answered, went to the shop with bicycles and came back with a black one. "Here we go".

He looked at it for a moment. Then he sat on it and drove away. At least he tried to. But he fell off almost immediately. I run to him.

"XIAO ZHAN! Are okay? Are you hurt?" I asked him worried and searched for injuries. He had a little wound on his knee.

"Seems like that boy cant ride a bicycle. You should teach him or else he will fall down every time." A old man said when he saw us. Next to him stood a little child. He should be around 3 "Yi Feng. That boy is trying to learn to ride a bicycle like you. But his knee is wounded. Why don't you help him?" The old man said to the boy called Yi Feng. That boy walked up to us. He shyly gave Xiao Zhan a little bottle and a band aid.

"You ... you have to wash the wound with this and then put on the band aid. The pain will disappear like it never was there." Yi Feng said and run back and hid behind that man, probably his grandfather.

"Thank you mister." I said and bowed to him.

"No need. We have to help each other. You never taught him riding a bicycle? I am sorry if I am noisy but Yi Feng is getting on my nerves the last few weeks because he wants to be taught. The same was with my own kids back then."

"I never had the chance to teach him but today we will catch up. Thank you Yi Feng for the band aid. Have fun with your grandfather" I said and both walked away after we bowed to each other.

Then I knelt before Xiao Zhan, took my handkerchief and used it together with the contents of the bottle Yi Feng gave us. "Xiao Zhan. This is alcohol. It will hurt for a moment. Please bear with it." I said to him and washed the wound on his knees. He flinched but didn't move his knee away. I put the band aid on his knee and helped him up.

"I am so sorry. I didn't know you couldn't ride. Lets try again and this time I will teach you." I said and stood behind Xiao Zhan after he climbed on the bicycle. He slowly moved and looked at me from time to time while I hold the vehicle so he will not fall down again.

"You have to look to the front to see where you ride, Xiao Zhan. Trust me, I will not let you fall again. I will not let go until you give me a sign that allows me to do so." I assured him gently. 

He looked into my eyes and searched for something. When he found it he slowly turned his head to the front and rode without looking at me. We kept doing this for about 10 minutes. Then he stopped the bicycle and looked at me again with a smile. 

>Its okay now. I can try it without help<

I smiled and nodded. "Alright." I walked a few steps to the side and observed him.

The first tries were unsuccessful but he kept on trying. 'That's right, Xiao Zhan! Everything has its first time. If you keep on trying you will succeed at the end. Never give up!'  I thought.

Soon he rode on his own. He didn't fall, he didn't call for help. He succeeded. I watched him having fun while riding.

"Are you here alone? Is you wife not here with you?" someone asked me and I turned around. There stood a young woman smiling at me. 'If she is still here when Xiao Zhan is done, he will panic...' I thought worried and smiled at the young woman.

"I am alone with my son. And I prefer to stay alone with him." I said to her. She came closer.

"Why don't you call her? I bet you son wants to be with his mother too."

"I don't know what you have to do with this, Miss. I don't have a wife yet. It would be the best to go now." I said firm and watched Xiao Zhan again.

"How can someone as handsome as you don't have a wife? How about drinking a coffee together then?  We could get to know each other ..." she said and came even closer. I could smell her expensive perfume. It was strong and way too much.

"No need, Miss. Please go now and let me have some time with my son!" I said and looked at her with annoyance. The young woman giggle.

"You look even more handsome when you get angry. Here is my number. If you have time, call me. Are you sure you don't want to have some coffee with me?" she said flirtatious and gave me a piece of paper with her phone number on it.

I took it, crumpled it and throw it in the next bin. "No, I will not! Do you think, just because I have no wife I will get together with any woman who comes and flirt with me? Definitely not! You are shameless! Flirting with a random man somewhere in the open because you need some pleasure. Don't look at me like that. What you really wants is written in your face! I will not sleep with just any woman. I have my pride and feelings too. Now go or else I will call the police" I hissed. She was shocked, gave me a really angry look because I humiliate her and walked off.

'No one is like you... even now....only her....is it coincidence? .... or .... is it fate?'  I sighed, took some deep breaths and looked back at Xiao Zhan who thankfully didn't noticed what happened here.

After 20 minutes Xiao Zhan came back to me and showed me what he wrote.

>Lets ride together<  He looked at me. All I could see was happiness and hope.

"Wait a moment. I will rent another bike." I answered smiling, ruffle through his hair and went to the rent shop.

Soon both of us rode through the park. When you see him you wouldn't even think that he just learned riding but he is a professional. He is very smart in whatever he does.

After some time he suddenly stopped and looked at some booths which stood in middle of the park. You could do different things and win a lot of prices. Xiao Zhan looked at me.

"Lets stop riding for a while and check them out" I said and he nodded excited. At the first booth he stopped.

"Hello young boy. If you shoot 10 balloons you can choose something out of all my prizes. What do you think?" the owner asked and Xiao Zhan looked at me.

"Is there something you want? Then try it." I encourage him. He pointed to a black and red basketball.

"Let me guess... its for Yibo?" I asked him knowingly. He blushed and of course he nodded. "Then try it."

He played this game three times but the most balloons he got were only 8 out of 10. He looked really sad.

"You know what, young boy? If you shoot only 5 balloons in a row in the next game, the ball is yours." he offered. Xiao Zhan took the challenge and .... succeeded. He won the ball and I bowed to the owner thankfully. He smiled at me. "Have a good day".

He looked at other booths but didn't see anything he liked till he came to the last one. He saw a big stuffed toy. It was a bunny. But the problem was .... it was a booth for Archery. So he wanted to walk past it but stopped when he heard me speaking to the booth owner.

"I would like to get this big stuffed bunny over there. What do I have to do?" I asked the owner.

"You have to shoot 5 arrows in the target by a distance of 150 meters. The points you have to get are 40/50. Then the bunny is yours." he answered and gave me 5 arrows. I looked at Xiao Zhan.

"I will get it for you. Watch me" I said to him and walked into the field.

'I was really good in archery back then. Not as good as Wang Ji and young master Wei but getting 40/50 should be easy.' I thought and started.

My hands were trembling slightly. I learned archery in this life too when I was young but I stopped after my parents died. Raising my brother was more important to me. So it has been a while since I hold bow and arrow.

I calmed down and aimed. I got 7 Points for the first shot.

The next shot went smoother. I got 9 points

The third shot was good too. I hit 9 points again.

The fourth shot was not as good as before. I only got 6 points.

I have only one shot left and have to get at least 9 points. Xiao Zhan really wanted that bunny and I will do my best to get him that. When I looked at him I saw him smiling. His eyes showed me that he will not be mad at me if I don't succeed. But for me its a challenge as well. I don't only want to get these 40 points for Xiao Zhan. I want to prove myself. That I still have it in me.

So after taking a deep long breath, I aimed and shot my last arrow. When I looked at the target I saw it was really close to the 8 but I hit the 9. I got 9 points. I have exactly 40/50.

I was proud of myself. Suddenly I felt two arms wrapping around my waist. Xiao Zhan hugged me tightly while rubbing his head on my chest. I laughed, hugged him back and gave him a light kiss on his head. "Your welcome" I said.

We stood there for about 2 minutes. Then I broke the hug. "Go and get your bunny" I said and watched Xiao Zhan running to the booth to accept his prize.

"Congratulation, here is your bunny" the owner said and gave it to Zhan.

As Xiao Zhan couldn't ride his bike anymore with the big bunny in his hands we gave the bicycle back. I carried the basketball. I took a look at the clock. It was 5 pm already and Xiao Zhan only ate the 3 pancakes and a bit of fruit salad this morning.

"Lets eat something, Zhan. Aren't you hungry?" I asked him. But he shook his head and wrote something down.

>Yibo makes lotus soup<

"Alright." I was worried but if he waits for the soup then of course he doesn't want to eat now. I felt a tug on my shirt.

>But can I get something to drink? I am thirsty<

I smiled at him. "Yes, lets get us something to drink."

We went to a booth where a lot of different drinks were sold. Xiao Zhan chose lemon ice tea while I chose herbal tea. I was happy to see Xiao Zhan drinking everything within 5 minutes. He then looked curiously to my cup and I chuckled.

"You want to try mine?" I asked and gave him my cup. He took a sip and ... his eyes brightened up. 'Seems like he really likes herbal tea.'

It looks like he wanted to take another sip but stopped and gave the cup back to me. I couldn't help and shook my head in amusement. "Excuse me Sir, can I get another herbal tea." I asked the owner of that booth who nodded friendly.

I took the tea and gave it to Xiao Zhan. He smiled and drank it. When ever he took a sip he smiled widely and when he did that he looked so innocent. After we finished I paid and we went our way.

While we walked through the park we came across a little boy around the age of 8 maybe. He had a little box next to him and no one else was in sight. 'Where are his parents?'

"What are you doing here so alone, young man? Where are your parents?" I asked him.

"I am here with my father. But he went to the toilet so I will wait here for him." he answered.

Xiao Zhan knelt down when he saw tiny paws coming out of the little box. I looked at the little boy again. "What is in there?"

"Baby bunnies. I have 4 bunnies at home and both females gave birth a few days ago. One pair had 6 babies the other had 4. But my parents said we have too many bunnies and I can only keep 5 of the babies. So we will go to the animal shelter and I have to gave these five away." he answered. He didn't cry but looked very sad.

"Cheng Yin! I told you to not talk with strangers!" A man yelled at the boy and stood himself in front of him. "What do you want from my son?" He yelled at me.

"I am sorry. Are you his father?" I asked him.

"Yes, I am. What do you want?!" he asked suspiciously.

"We saw your son standing here all alone. That is dangerous! So much could have happened. If you need to use the toilet next time, take your son with you! You are supposed to protect and care for him. What you did is irresponsible!" I said angry. 'How can someone let his child unattended?!'

After i yelled at him theman went quiet. He looked at his son and then at me again. He seemed to have realised his mistake and apologized.

"You are right. I am sorry. I shouldn't have to that. Please forgive me for yelling." he bowed.

"Don't you dare do it again!" I demanded strictly. 'This man shouldn't be a parent. No one makes such a mistake if one cares about their child' I thought. Suddenly I heard Xiao Zhan giggling and we, that irresponsible father and I, looked at him.

We saw all five baby bunnies jumping on Xiao Zhan lap. Xiao Zhan stroke each of them. 'He definitely has a hand for bunnies.' I thought and smiled. I turned to the man in front of me. 

"Your son explained that you will take these bunnies to an animal shelter?" I asked.

"Yes we have 9 bunnies at home already. It is just too much. We have no other option." he answered.

"Is it okay with you two if we take them? We have a bunny at home too, a black one. He will not be lonely anymore if we take those 5 with us. Is that okay with you?" I asked. At the corner of my eyes I saw Xiao Zhan looking at me in shock and I chuckled inwardly.

"You can, but you have to promise me they will have good home. I don't want them to suffer..." the little boy said to me. The father seems to be skeptical. I took out my phone and showed them a short video of Yibo and Xiao Zhan playing with the black bunny in the bunny house. I took it when we just build the shelter.

"Do you think they will like it there?" I asked. The boy nodded and the father too approved of it after watching the video. 

"Very well. Then you can take them home with you." he said. We said goodbye and sat down at a nearby bench.

Xiao Zhan looked at me and seems to be thinking hard. I waited for him. The box with the bunnies stood before us. I bend down and stroke those tiny animals. Then I felt Xiao Zhan tugging my sleeves and he showed me his notebook.

>I want to give you something too but I don't know what?<

I smiled. "Why do you want that?"

>You gave me so much and Yibo too. I won a basket ball for Yibo and I will bring home the bunnies. But you got nothing...<

"I have you by my side. Don't you think that is enough?" I asked.

>But doesn't Yibo have me too? That means he got more from me than you got. I want to give you something too, something Yibo doesn't have<

I chuckled. "Hmmm .... So you really want to give me something?" I asked him gently and he nodded his head.

"Then ... if I have a wish only you can fulfill. Would you do that?"

He looked at me rather unsure, as if he is afraid of what I wish for.

>I am not sure....<

"How about this. I will tell you my wish and if you don't like it you don't have to fulfill it."

>But isn't it your wish? You will be sad<

"I cant deny that but I cant force you to do something you don't like either. No one can. You always have a choice in life. Keep that in mind." I said to him and stroke his head. He nodded in acceptance.

"Do you want to hear my wish now?" I asked him and he shyly nodded again. I saw he is scared.

He has to learn that he doesn't have to do things if he doesn't want it. He has his own free will and can make his own choices. 'Guess we will have to show it to him in future.'  I thought.

"Alright. My wish is .... I wish for you to call me father." I said and saw him widening his eyes.

"You don't have to do it right away and you don't have to do it all the time. But I would be happy if you can think about it in the future. If you don't like my wish then tell me." I said and waited.

After writing something down he showed it to me.

> I don't know. If it makes you happy, I could call you that but .... I don't understand that word. I saw most of the children call adults like that, but I don't know why. So, what I mean is, wouldn't it be meaningless calling you something I don't understand just because you wish to hear it? <

'Did I already mentioned that he is smart? He has a point. Was it too early to ask for that?'  I thought.

"You are right, Xiao Zhan. It has no point. I don't want you to call me like that just because it is my wish. You have to want it, it has to come from your heart. If not, my wish has no meaning. Xiao Zhan, do you think, if I teach you that word, if I show you the meaning of 'father'... do you think I have chance for you calling me like that?

>Yes. I don't know how long it will take but yes.<

"Then I will wait. I will teach and show you the meaning." I said.

>Are you mad with me now?< he asked.

"I am not mad. I will never be. Xiao Zhan, you own something very important, something everyone in the world should own. And that is your free will. You have it so you can do things you like, things you want. No one should be mad at you just because there is something you don't want. Do you understand that?" I explained gently. He look at me but there was no understanding in his eyes, only cluelessness.

"Its okay if you don't understand it now. We have a lot of time together. I will teach you the meaning of that too so remember what I just explained to you. Don't forget it." I said and took him in my arms. He too hugged me back.

We sat there like that for a while. But when we saw the sun going down I took the box with the bunnies, Xiao Zhan carried his stuffed bunny and the basketball and together we walked through the almost dark park to my car and drove home.
