Alright, after the big scare of yesterday I am back with a new chapter :D 

Lets just hope something like yesterday will not happen again because I feel like I aged by 20 years... ^^ 

I run to his room and opened the door. But Xiao Zhan was not in his bed. I looked around and spotted him next to his bed sitting on the ground, his back laying against the edge of the bed. His arms are wrapped around his legs, his head lying on his knees and he was trembling strongly. 

From the up and down of his back I could see he was crying. 'What happened?' I asked myself. 'Maybe he cant sleep because the environment is new to him?'  I run down to the kitchen and heated up milk for him and put some honey in it. Then I walked up to the 3rd floor again, carefully to not spill the milk. I went  back to Xiao Zhans room when suddenly the next thunderclap was heard and I saw Xiao Zhan flinching and wrapping his arms firmer around his legs. 'Its not only that he cant sleep, he is scared of the thunder'  I realized.

I slowly walked up to him and put the hot milk with honey next to him on the bedside table. Then I gave him my headphones. I carefully put them over his ears and turned up the volume so he couldn't hear the thunder anymore. I took his blanket from the bed and slowly wrapped it around his body. Then I took him into my arms and gently rocked him back and forth.

After about 10 minutes I slowly released him. I stood up, went to his desk and wrote something on a piece of paper. When I turned around I saw Xiao Zhan looking straight into my eyes which still had tears in it. 'Straight into my eyes? I earned his trust' I realized and went back to him. A bright flash could be seen followed by a thunderclap. Xiao Zhan flinched and hid his face back on his knees. I saw him trembling again. I took the cup of milk from the bedside table, slowly reached my hand to Xiao Zhans and gave him the still very warm milk. He didn't look up. I put the piece of paper in front of him and hugged him for a minute while patting his back and went back to my room.

'He is already scared of so many things .... now the storm is one of these....'  I sighed. I went back to my bed and tried to sleep. It wasn't easy. I couldn't listen to my music as I gave it to Xiao Zhan. He needs it more than me right now. I thought About doing my homework. I have to do 7 pages after all but .... I am not in the mood right now. 'I hope Xiao Zhan is okay. Did he drink the milk I made for him? Is he sleeping?'  With these thoughts in mind I fell asleep after  10 minutes.

When I woke up again it was still the middle of the night. I looked at the clock and saw it was only 1am. I barely slept 2 hours. I am still tired. The storm is still ongoing and very loud. 'I should look after Xiao Zhan. Hope he is alright'  I struggled out of bed and went to the door. When I opened it I couldn't believe my eyes. I smiled while looking at Xiao Zhan who was sleeping with the blanket around himself next to my door. My headphones still over his ears. 'He fell asleep with my music? Even when it is that loud? It seems he really was tired  after all...'  I knelt down to check if he really is sleeping which was the case. I saw the piece of paper I gave him earlier in his hand. 

"Its okay to be afraid Xiao Zhan. Everyone is afraid of something. I am not an exception. The music you are listening to right now is my favorite at the moment. I don't know what kind of music you like but I hope you can enjoy it. At least that way you will not hear the storm outside. I also made you warm milk with honey. It will help you sleep. If you need something or just need some company I am right next door. You can visit me anytime.

"He really needed someone but was too shy to knock on my door" I smiled. "Xiao Zhan you will catch a cold sleeping on the floor." I carefully took him in my arms as to not wake him up, carried him into my room and laid him on my bed. I covered him with his blanket and stroke his head. 'He is so cute ...'   

When I wanted to raise from my bed I saw something shining on the floor. I took it in my hand examined it 'A key?'  Why would there be a key on the floor? When I looked at it more closer I recognized it. It was the key from the house of the little one...

"Oh shit! I forgot the bunny" I raised a bit too fast from the bed and run outside the house into the heavy rain. The falling rain was so strong I almost couldn't see my hand in front of my eyes. 'At least the thunder is gone'  Within seconds I was soaked.

(Lets imagine him in modern clothes and short hair, alright? *wink* ^^)

Nevertheless I run to the bunny house unlocked the door and went inside. I searched for the little bunny but it was very difficult to find it. Not only because of the rain but because the color of its fur. Try to find something black when everything around you is dark. Trust me, its not easy. It took me almost 10 minutes before I found it hidden in a bush. I carefully took the wet and shivering little bunny out of it, hid it in my soaked shirt and went back inside. 'We should build a shelter where no rain can come in and the bunny is safe. There is enough space for it inside the bunny house' I thought and walked up to the 3rd floor. During that I wet the floor. 'I should clean it later...' 

When I slowly opened the door to my room I saw Xiao Zhan sitting upright in my bed and starring at me in shock. It seems like I woke him up earlier when I left to find the bunny. 'But why is he looking that scared?'

I smiled at him and walked into the bathroom. I came out with two towels. I laid on of the two on the bed and the other will be used to dry the bunny. I put the towel around the bunny and gave it Xiao Zhan. He looked confused at it and then at me.

"I am sorry. I totally forgot about our little one. I saw they key to the bunny house and remembered that the bunny didn't have a shelter were it is safe from the rain. So I brought him here. Can you dry him? I guess I have to take another shower" I asked him and waited for an answer. Xiao Zhan nodded his head. I thanked him, walked to the closet to get a new pajama and went inside the bathroom.

After taking a shower and putting the clothes on I left the bathroom with my hairbrush. I saw Xiao Zhan sitting at the edge of the bed holding the unused towel. The now dried bunny sat next to him inside the towel. Xiao signaled me to come closer. 'What does he want?'

He pointed to the ground and showed me the towel in his hand. "You want me to sit in front of you?" I asked him. He nodded his head shyly and pointed again to the ground. "Alright." I sat in front of him on the ground my back facing him. Just as I wanted to asked him what he intends to do he raised the towel and put it slowly on my wet hair. He then gently rubbed my hair with it. 'He wants to dry my hair' I realized and smiled to myself. 'That feels so nice. The last time someone did this to me was my mother when I was 12 ...'  I thought and sighed.

I slowly leaned back and enjoyed it. After 5 minutes he stopped, took my hairbrush out of my hand and brushed my hair with gently movements. I doze off.

When I opened my eyes again I noticed that the movements stopped. 'Did I fell asleep?'

I slowly stood up and turned around. I saw Xiao Zhan looking at me."I am sorry, I didn't know I fell asleep. But that felt so good." I apologized and smiled at him. He looked me in the eyes and pointed at my hair and then to his. "What do you mean?" I asked him confused and he formed a scissor with is index and middle finger and pretended to cut his hair.

"Ahh you want to cut your hair?" I asked him and he nodded eagerly.

"We can go to my favorite hairdresser tomorrow when we go shopping. He is about 60 years old and I know him since my birth. He is the best hairdresser in the city. Lets go together with my brother, alright?" I asked him and again he nodded.

I collected the dirty towels and my hairbrush and brought them back to the bathroom. I then walked out it and saw Xiao Zhan playing with the bunny. "Xiao Zhan?" He looked up and again I saw him looking into my eyes. 'I finally got his trust' I smiled at him.

"I will go down and dry the floor. I don't want my brother to slip on the puddles I left while coming up here. Are you okay with staying here alone?" I asked him. I saw him hesitating and looking to the door and back to me. I thought about how to handle this situation. It seems like he is hesitating because he is scared that I would come in without him noticing it.

Then I got an idea. I went to my closet and rifled through the drawers till I found what I was looking for. Xiao Zhan was observing me. It was a bracelet with little bells on it. It originally belonged to my mother, it was her favorite bracelet. Every time she wore it the house was filled with its sound. I showed it to Xiao Zhan and then wrapped it around my right ankle. With every step I took the bells are ringing. "Is it okay now?" Xiao Zhan still hesitated a few seconds but then he nodded his head. "Alright. I will be back soon. You can play with the little one and maybe think about how to name it." I said and walked out. 

After I finished the task of drying the floor it was already 3am. I went back to my room and purposely ring the little bells on my ankle to let Xiao Zhan know that I am on my way now. When I entered my room I chuckled seeing that Xiao Zhan fell asleep again. I carefully went to the bed as I didn't want to wake him up with the ringing of the bracelet. I covered him with the blankets. I put the bunny next to him on the pillow and sat on my deskchair.

'Where do I sleep now? I cant sleep on my bed or in Xiao Zhans room....' Actually I wanted to go to the living room to sleep but I was too tired to move. At the end I fell asleep at the desk with the head on my arms. 

Some time later I woke up as I sensed a presence behind me but I couldn't open my eyes out of tiredness. I could feel something heavy on my shoulders and I suddenly felt very warm. Someone lifted my head and put it on something very soft. He stroke my hair gently and kissed my hair and with that I fell asleep again.

Thats for today ;)  But as i promised you I will update the next chapter tomorrow  ^^
