I woke up at 5am. Today is the day Xiao Zhan comes home. I don't know why but I am really nervous. I took a deep breath went down to the kitchen. I saw my brother made breakfast again. Its not that I am not thankful but he went to bed late and woke up really early... I am worried he is overworking himself. I can see that my brother likes Xiao Zhan very much so he is working hard to help him but .... he should care for himself too. 

After breakfast I washed the dishes and went to the 2nd floor. I cleaned the bedroom next to mine where Xiao Zhan will sleep as of now. When we first moved in I tried to sleep in this room because it was red. Although the color red has a calming effect on me, every time I tried to sleep in it I couldn't. I was feeling down almost every night so I chose the white/blue bedroom where I sleep now. It was much better.

After cleaning I went shopping to get the ingredients for dinner. I will cook lotus soup. I got the recipe from Xuan Lu. She cooked it once for my friends and me. It was very delicious.

While I was cooking my phone rang. In was an unknown number, so I declined it but a few seconds later the same number called me again. 'Annoying'  This time I accepted the call.

"Hello, Wang Yibo speaking" I said.

"Hello there, Yibo. Its me Lu Fei" she said.

"Why do you have my number?" I asked her annoyed.

"I saw this number on the application letter for the basketball team in my uncles office. And I thought before I ask you for your number I can just call you directly. Its much easier." I heard her smiling.

"What do you want, Lu Fei?"

"Lets meet. We could go to the cinema, we can go to my favorite restaurant as well. I know this evening is basketball training so how about now? If you tell me your address I can fetch you and afterwards I will bring you to the basketball court."

'Thank god I didn't wrote down my address on that application letter' I thought.

"Lu Fei! I told you I don't have time and definitely not for you. I am busy so stop calling me." I said angrily and cut the call. I immediately blocked her number. 'She really is a pain in the ass'.

After I finished cooking I decorated the table and went to the living room and waited. 

After 10 minutes I heard the front door open and my brother came to the living room. "Yibo we are home" he said. I waited for Xiao Zhan to follow my brother but he didn't. 'Where is he?'  I looked at my brother and raised a brow. My brother pointed with his head over his shoulder so I stepped up to him. When I almost reached him I saw two arms wrapped around my brothers hips. 'He seems to be either afraid or really shy. I can feel my heart beating really fast... Why am I so nervous?'

My brother smiled and gently asked Xiao Zhan to show and introduce himself.

Slowly Xiao Zhan stepped out with his bowed head. His long hair was hiding his face. 'He is scared ... Why? Its not like I will eat him up...'

"Hello Xiao Zhan. My name is Yibo and I am your new uncle but you can call me Yibo. Please take care of me." I said smiling and Xiao Zhan flinched.

After about 2 minutes Xiao Zhan took a deep breath and slowly looked up and I could see his face. 'No Joke... he really is beautiful ...'  I stared at him a little bit too long. I didn't know my brother was observing me but I heard him slightly coughing. I really don't know why I cant stop looking at Xiao Zhan... Suddenly I felt a short pain in my chest. I put my hand right above my heart. 'It hurts... so painful'  My brother run up to me. "Yibo what is wrong? Are you alright?" he asked me worried. But before I could answer him the pain was gone. "Its fine my chest hurt a little bit but its fine now. Lets talk about it later." I said and walked up to Xiao Zhan.

He looks like he is about to cry. 'Does he think its his fault?'  
"I am sorry for scaring you. I am fine. Are you hungry? I just finished cooking." I said. Xiao Zhan shook his head but seconds later his stomach growled. I saw Xiao Zhans face turning red and I suppressed my laugh.
"Its seems like your stomach is hungry after all. Come lets go to the kitchen" I smiled to him and put my arm around his shoulder. I flinched slightly as I got a light electric shock. 'What was that?'

I led him to the dining room and told him to sit down. But he just stood at the door and turned around. It seems like is waiting for my brother. 'Does he like my brother that much...?'

When my brother came to the dining room he was talking on the phone. "Yes... hmm ... and then? .... really? .... It seems like it .... yes .... I got it. I will come right away" he cut the call.

"I am so sorry but I will have to go to a patient of mine. It seems like there are some complications." he explained.

"Sounds not good. What is with eating? Should I put some of the soup into the refrigerator for you? Or are you eating on your way?' I asked him.

"Its 11am now.... I will probably be home around 8 pm. I don't think I will have time to eat so you can put it into the refrigerator. I will eat it later" he answered and walked up to Xiao Zhan. "I am really sorry but its seems to be really urgent so I have to go. I hope you understand. Yibo will show you everything, the house, where you sleep and our garden too. My brother looks a little bit scary for strangers at first but you will get used to it, so don't be afraid. He is harmless" he said to him and smiled. 'What is he saying?? I don't look scary!! I don't!!!!' I thought.

"Brother you are the one who is scaring him! I don't look scary at all." I complained.

"Yes you are. All the kids starts crying when they see you" he said and I answered with a "Pfft".

I didn't see it but I heard Xiao Zhan slightly giggling. My brother smiled at him and then winked at me. 'Guess I have to try to make Xiao Zhan comfortable being around me' .

"Look at that. You both found each other. Okay got it. I am the bad guy here." I didn't intend to but I pouted. My brother laughed at me.

"Are you okay with staying alone with Yibo?" my brother asked and before Xiao Zhan could answer him I said "Of course not. Did you forget? I look scary, I will make him cry!" Again I heard Xiao Zhan slightly giggling and I couldn't suppress my smile. He nodded his head and my brother ruffled through his hair. "Please help him with everything Yibo. I will be back." he said to me and wanted to leave.

"So you don't want to ruffle trough my hair? Not even a hug? Wow ..... look at that Xiao Zhan. I cant believe it... my brother loves me no more" I faked a cry.

To be honest I don't even now why I am behaving like that but I want Xiao Zhan to relax and show him that he does not have to be afraid of me. My attempts are childish I know but it seems to work...

"How dramatic. Ignore him Xiao Zhan" My brother said, rolled his eyes and gave me a hug. He whispered a "You are doing good" in my ear and I answered with a "Thanks I try my best". Then my brother left.

"So what now Xiao Zhan? You want to eat with me or are you really scared and want to hide?" I asked him and smiled. Xiao Zhan turned around. I heard his stomach again.

"Ahh it seems like your stomach answered for you. Lets go then" I led him to the dining table and served the soup. Just as I was about to sit down I saw something black hidden under Xiao Zhans sweater. I looked at it and recognize it as a rabbit. 'So that is his little rabbit'  I smiled.

"Its okay Xiao Zhan. I know of your rabbit already. Let me just close the door. Then you can let him jump around. Later I will show you his own home." I said and closed the door. Then I went to Xiao Zhan. "Can I take it?" I asked him. "Don't worry I will not hurt him" After I insured him that his rabbit will be save he warily nodded. So I took the rabbit and put him on the floor under the table. He never took his eyes off us. When he saw that his rabbit is save he relaxed a bit.

I went back to my seat next to him and we began to eat. When I saw Xiao Zhan eating eagerly I knew he liked it. I am happy. Soon he finished his bowl and I saw him looking to the kitchen.

"Do you want more?" I asked him. His face became red and he nodded shyly. I took his bowl and went to the kitchen after I checked the whereabouts of the black rabbit so he cant escape.

After dinner I put the soup into the refrigerator and washed the dishes afterwards. I can feel Xiao Zhan observing me while stroking his rabbit. When I finished I turned to Xiao Zhan who quickly looked down. 'I saw him looking into my brothers eyes earlier ... seems like he don't trust me enough to look into mine as well... but I will not give up.'

"Come Xiao Zhan I will show you the home of your little one." I held out my hand. Xiao Zhan just looked at it and backed away. I put my hand down  and said "Its okay. Your are right its a little bit early for to much body contact right? I am sorry. Come with me I will show you the home of your rabbit. I build it in the garden." 

'I will not give up!'

When we arrived at the garden Xiao Zhan looked around and widened his eyes. It seems like he never saw so many flowers at the same time. 

I waited for him when he went from left to right to look at them. After 10 minutes I walked up to him "Are you finish looking or do you need more time?" I asked him and smiled. He just shook is head. So I led him to his rabbits new home. 

"Happy Birthday, Xiao Zhan" I said and signed him that he can go inside. But Xiao Zhan didn't move. "What is wrong ... you don't like it?" I am feeling sad ... I tried to make him happy but .... I sighed sadly.

Xiao Zhan looked at me, then at the bunny house and again to me. 'What is he doing....? Is he afraid to go inside alone?' I entered the house first and waited for Xiao Zhan to follow. Soon he did. 'Strange.... Its not like I will lock him up in here ....'  I sat down on a big rock and observed Xiao Zhan. He slowly knelt down and put his little rabbit on the grass. The tiny animal jumped away, exploring his new home. When I looked at Xiao Zhan I saw him smiling.

"You look beautiful when you smile" I said and saw Xiao Zhan flinching. 'Did I say something wrong?'

I stood up and went to the door. I turned around to tell Xiao Zhan that I will show him the house but I couldn't say a word. I froze when I saw him trembling. I walked up to him but he backed away. 'What is going on!?'  I am clueless ....

"Xiao Zhan I will not lock you up in here, okay. Here..." I throw the keys for the bunny house in front of his feet. "You will have the keys. You can go out of here first and I will follow okay?" I said to him. He slowly took the keys and went outside. I stayed where I was and waited. Xiao Zhan moved away from the house and I slowly exited it too.

"You have to lock the rabbit house, Xiao Zhan. You can keep the keys as the house belongs to you" I said and Xiao Zhan went to the little house and locked it up, then he turned around.  He looked away and ... bowed to me. 'Seems like he is thanking me' 

 "Its okay. Happy birthday Xiao Zhan."  I smiled.

"Alright. Let me show you the house now. Follow me" We went back inside and I was careful to not let Xiao Zhan have the feeling I am gonna lock him up. I will always be the first one to enter a room and the last one that left. Xiao Zhan seems to be more relaxed that way. 'Just what on earth happened to him? I will have to talk with brother about this ...'

"Here is your room. We only cleaned it for you but if something doesn't suit your taste, tell us and we will change it." I said after we went inside. Xiao Zhan explored his room and I saw him smiling a bit sometimes. 'Seems like he doesn't want to change it'  I smiled. "The door on your left is your own bathroom. Same rules. If you don't like it, we will change it. And there is a key on the inside, so you can lock the door anytime. If you need anything you can ask me, my room is right next door." I showed him my bed- and bathroom.

After I showed him our room I brought him to my brothers room.

"So there is one room left and I think you gonna like it the most" I smiled at him and went ahead. Xiao Zhan followed me.
