it's been 24 hours which means that nominations are now closed.

as of this very moment, we are no longer accepting nominations. you had a whole 24 hrs and if you missed the deadline then that's your own problem.

i've been promoting the fanfic awards for weeks and i made sure to let you guys know that nominations will open on eazy's birthday.

if you weren't aware, too bad 💁🏽‍♀️ maybe you were living under a rock or something.

but anyway, you all showed out as always. now we have to count up all of the nominations which will take awhile so be patient.

this is what my notifications looked like after the first three hours...

and they kept coming in, so i believe we had more than 1200 nominations this year which is amazing.

i hope you all took advantage because it's over.

you have to have a certain number of nominations in order to proceed to the next round and each category requires a different number of nominations.

so for example; the "best plot" category may require like 200 nominations

^ and this was just an example, this category doesn't actually require 200 nominations.

if you don't make it as a finalist for whatever reason, whether it's because you're bitter and miserable and decided to throw shade or if it's because your book doesn't qualify, just know that simply being nominated is an honor itself.

because someone loves you and your work enough to even consider mentioning you when they definitely didn't have to, so take that in consideration.

if you are a finalist, you will get tagged and the competition will continue.

please keep in mind that there are over 1000 nominations and only 4 of us that has to go through and count everything up, so it'll be a mini wait for the finalists to be released but we should be done counting before next friday.

a few of you nominated some classics like "exposed" which is my favorite eazy-e book, for the wrong categories.

books that were written back in 2016 were only eligible for the "take it back!" award, yet you nominated it for another category such as "best eazy-e fanfic" and "best plot".

remember that books that don't qualify will not make it to the next round.
