Izumi is on her way to the 1st round of the chunin exams as she bumps into a familiar person. They talk for a bit then look at the time then runs to make it there in time. That person was Itachi Uchiha. He lives in the compound like Izumi does. He's the son of Fugaku Uchiha, who's in charge of the Military Police Force. He's well known to everyone. 

Izumi makes it to the academy on time where her teammates Ynada Yuino and Magata Uchiha and her sensei Tsunade is. "Hey guys"! Says Izumi "Yo Izumi" says the boys. "Shall we go now"? Tsunade states. They walk to the area where the 1st round will be and and put on their Leaf headbands. The 1st round is a written test that you have to pass to make it to the 2nd round. They are spread out and teams are not close to each other.

 As the test goes on Izumi starts to get serious as she is gonna be a chunin like Itachi was. Itachi right now is a ANBU agent who works under the 4th Hokage, Lord Minato. He's been doing it for 3 years by now. She is ready to become a real ninja like her parents and friend. The test gets harder as time goes on. Izumi struggle's with a part, but manages to get through it. "TIMES UP"! The announcer calls. They bring there papers to the front and leave the class to go home.

On the way home she bumps into her cousin. Shisui Uchiha. He's 2 years older than her and has the Mangekyō Sharingan. He's known as the "Shisui of the Body Flicker" because he's as fast as the 4th. He's well known and is friend's with Itachi. Izumi is 13 at the moment and so is Itachi. Itachi graduated top of his classes at 8 and became chunin at 10. "I hope I can be as strong as Itachi and Shisui" she mutters.

 Shisui starts the talking first while walking into the Uchiha compound, "How was the 1st part"? "Pretty rough eh"? Izumi was silent while her head was low deep in thought about what will happen in the 2nd part. "Hey! Izu are you ok"? Izumi's eyes widen while she gathered her thoughts. "Ya they were pretty hard, but at the same time easy"! "I'm just hoping that the second parts not gonna be like back when the 3rd Great War was happening" She lowered her head realizing what she just said. Shisui had lost a friend that he had killed after the 3rd Shinobi War. The missions were harder and tougher than any other. That's how he gained his Mangekyō. They stayed silent the rest of the way home.
