Chapter Five: A Sweet Beginning To The Night
Winter's POV
I wriggled my shoulder blades, satisfied that my back didn't hurt anymore. My stomach let out a loud rumble, I clutched my stomach feeling the hollowness eating me up. "I need to eat," I muttered quietly.

I took my fans and I started climbing down the icy mountain, I was glad I had not been dehydrated, the ice served well. In the distance I saw a bush, something clicked inside my brain.

"Goozleberries"

I took off running in the bush's direction, I stopped short.

Someone else had reached it before me.

Daniel's POV
I saw the girl. She looked frightened. I rose.

I walked toward her.

She looked at me and was about to run. I grabbed her arm.

She looked at me, terror in her eyes.

I held out the berries, she picked one out and popped it in her mouth. She giggled.

"Allies?" I asked her.

She laughed and said, "Sure. I'm Winter."

"I'm Daniel."

We smiled at each other and went back to the goozleberry bush to pick the berries off and went off into the darkness, unaware of what will happen soon.
