"Rise and shine girl! It's your first day of school!" I heard a voice as a shifted in my sleep.  It was my new friend, Alya's voice.

She's the one who helped me after the boy yesterday, Adrien I think, was called by another boy.  But before that he gave me clear directions to where the dorm is that's where Alya came.

It seemed like the door needed some sort of incantation to open and since my luck isn't really that good.......let's just say I misplaced my wand.
So she did the spell for me instead, it seemed that she was just coming back from lessons.

She turned out to be my roommate and we talked all night long! I somehow forgot to tell her about the emblem lighting up though.

"5 more minutes....." I groaned out as loud as I can for her to hear.

"You've been saying that for half an hour already! Aren't you excited?" She said chuckling for a bit.

Well yeah I'm excited! But I'm still sleepy and tired from walking around all day yesterday.

"You leave me no choice then," She said, muttering an incantation I couldn't make out and after that I felt the bed sheets shift for a bit and it felt like I was being hanged from a tree while inside a huge bag.

It made me wake up of course.

"W-what?! Alya, put me down!" I yelled as I popped my head out from the bed sheets that wrapped me like a sushi.

"You're welcome!" She yelled out as I fell back on my bed again. That was a scary experience!

"Geez, why didn't you just threaten me?" I asked jokingly as I put on my uniform and of course my emblem.

"Come on Marinette, do you think that'll work?" She asked with the same tone I used which I just shook my head as an answer.  She's so easy to get along with! I'm so glad she's my roommate.

"Anyway, do you think you'll find your wand soon?" She asked after she fixed the bed hair I had.

"I really hope so! I haven't even used it yet and now I lost it," I muttered kinda sadly and disappointedly. Well who wouldn't be?  It's something very important to all magic users, if they don't have it they can't cast a spell!  Except for Song spellers or spell singers or....Uhh I don't know what they are called!
Let's just say they're the magic users who can cast a spell with songs, it's pretty a rare talent to have though.

"Don't worry, I'm sure you'll find it! Anyway, how bout we go downstairs before we miss breakfast?" She suggested and I nodded since I really am hungry.

We soon finished breakfast and headed out the dorms.  There was this amazing scent surrounding the dorms, I looked around and found a few flowers.  I really don't know anything about flowers but I'm pretty sure these are magical flowers.

"Psst, Mari. Look it's Adrien I think he's waiting for you," Alya whispered to me as she gestured toward Adrien.

"Why me? I mean there's like lots of students here..." I asked back wondering why she's so sure it's me.

"Well he is assigned to be the one who'll help you around the academy." She answered, she does have a point.

"Hey Uhh, Marinette right?" He asked as he walked towards us and I just nodded.

"The headmaster wants to see you." He added and gestured for me to follow him. Alya told me to go on since we'll see each other in the classroom anyway.

Me and Adrien walked away from the dorms and towards the school grounds all I do is stare in awe because of all the amazing stuff in this academy.

Then when we entered the academy there stood a huge set of stairs which might be tiring to climb.  The hallways were clean, and you can feel the magical energy just by passing through it.

We stopped in front of two doors and Adrien knocked.

"Enter," Said the voice from the other side.

"Headmaster Fu, I've brought her just like you asked," Adrien said and in the room was a short man which is probably the headmaster and a serious owl like man and is probably one of the teachers here.

"Marinette Dupain-Cheng," He, Headmaster Fu I think, suddenly said after a moment of silence.

"Y-yes?!" I yelped out since I got startled a little bit.

"Welcome to the academy. And I see you found yourself a Buddy already," He said and I just stood there confused about the buddy thing.

"I hope you don't mind me asking, but what's a Buddy?" I asked.

"You came from Enlune right?" He asked again and I just nodded.

"I understand why you don't know about the buddy system. A Buddy is like a partner that affects each other." He answered and I'm still kinda confused.

"I'm one of the teachers here Professor Damocles and a buddy in other words, if you get low grades it will affect you AND your partner," The owl like man said and I finally understood.

I kinda feel bad, since I don't even know how to use magic and I might drag Adrien down!

"Let's get back on track shall we? We hope you enjoy your stay here in the Academy and of course pass the trial," Headmaster said.

"Lessons are gonna start soon you better get to class soon.  Adrien, explain the rules to her and help her in any way you can," Professor Damocles said and I saw Adrien nod.

We excused ourselves and made our way towards our class. While walking Adrien told me all the rules.
Like not going to the forbidden forest, which is also known as the East Forest. Curfew hours, going outside the academy without permission and stuff like that.

Ooh, and turns out he accidentally kept my wand with him.

We soon got into the classroom and I took a sit besides Alya.  Adrien sat beside the boy from yesterday.

"So how'd it go?" Alya asked.
"What? Oh Uhh, I learned about the rules and whatnot. Oh and it turned out Adrien had my wand," I said as I pulled out my wand.

"Good for you girl!" She said smiling at me then a teacher, I think, came in. She had orange hair and is dressed up quite nicely.

"Good morning class. I heard we have a new student joining us!" She said as she scanned the room, once she spotted me she nodded her head as a gesture for me to introduce my self.

I immediately stood up creating a screeching sound as my chair moved backwards.

"Oh, Uhh... I'm Marinette Dupain-Cheng! I hope to get along with all of you!" I exclaimed some of the students smiled at me but there's this one blonde who just flipped her hair.  Okay I already feel like I won't get along with her that much.

"It's nice to have you here Marinette, you may call me Madam Bustier and I handle History of Wizardry and Astronomy.  You may take your sit now," She, Madam Bustier, said.

"Today we'll be learning about the stars that affects the wizarding world tremendously, but first I'll give you an assignment." She started.

With a wave of her wand three books appeared on each of our desks. Namely, The Earrings of Creation, Ring of Destruction and The Miraculous Wizards.

"All of you are assigned to read these books and fully understand it." All three books? What does she have against us?  I looked around and everyone seemed used to it already.

Alya seemed excited more than anyone tho.

"Finally! I've been waiting for months for this topic to come!" She muttered. I didn't say anything and Just listened to Madam Bustier since I need to study hard for my and Adrien's sake.  If I fail he fails!

Classes went by like a flash And I found myself walking around the school grounds.  I unconsciously went to a lake of some sort, it's very peaceful and calming here like you can fall asleep anytime and wake up in a happier mood.

The air is also fresh and clean with a few fragments of magic lingering.  I decided to sit down on a the grassy ground and read one of the books we were given.

"The Earrings of Creation." The title gives out a feel that makes you curious, I wonder what the earrings are really.

The Earrings are told to be kept by a magical creature that only appears when needed and to those it knows it can trust.

Ten years ago was the last time rumors about seeing this fairy are heard.  People who claimed they saw it, say it hides in the very earrings and it looks like an oversized ladybug.

I kept on reading it until I reached the middle part of the book, next to that page are empty pages.

"Hmm? There's nothing else here," I said and I curiously flipped to the pages over and over.

"Words won't just suddenly appear even if you do that." I heard a voice coming from behind.

I turned towards the source of the voice and found my so called buddy.

"Hey."

"Uhh, hey there!"

He then sat beside me, silence filled the air and it was awkward! I should ask why the book stopped midway.

"Hey Uhh, do you know why the book stopped midway?"

"Well, some books write themselves," He answered and I looked at him curiously.

"You know, as history happens it'll be recorded in books," He said.

"So this is a real story?" I asked and he nodded.

"Say, wanna study magic with me? I mean you did came from a town that forbids magic, so...."  He started.

"Really?! I'm such a klutz and I don't wanna drag you down so it will be a big help!" I exclaimed.

"Don't think of me for now, focus on passing the Judgment first," He said as he warmly smiled at me.  That is such a cute smile, and his eyes sparkle like emeralds in the sun. Oh what am I thinking? I need to focus! Wait....

"Judgment? What's that?" I asked. I don't know much about this academy or the magic world and that itself pains me.

"The Judgment is the last day of your trial, it's the day that decides whether or not you're fit to be here." He explained and I just nodded since I really don't know what to say.

"Well, I'll be going now. I have dinner duty and it's getting late.  Every after school, here?" He finally said as he stood up.

"Sure! See you then," I said as I waved him goodbye, he's such a nice guy.

"I should really get going now." I muttered to myself as I put the books in my bag and stood up. I noticed something like a strange box in my bag but I pushed the thought away thinking it was just my tarot cards that were given to me by Professor Damocles a while ago.

I reached the dorms before curfew and used the key the housemother gave me since the incantation to open the door isn't working.

I went to my room and flopped down on my bed. I heard running water so Alya might be taking a bath.  Her bed was messy, like notes are all over!  I wanted to clean it up but I'm pretty sure I shouldn't mess with her stuff.

"Oh, Mari you're back!" I heard Alya say as she came out of the bathroom in a white tee and blue sweat pants.

"Yup! So why is your bed so messy?" I asked as I sat down at the edge of my bed.

"I was doing research on our assignment, I really love the stories about them! It was a known tale where I came from," She said and immersed herself in her mountain of notes.

She kept explaining stuff to me like what the 'Miraculous Wizards' do their predecessors and the like.

Without knowing it, I fell asleep and I entered dreamland slowly.
