The Different One (Original)
She was sitting, alone, at the far corner of the coffee shop.
Nathan couldn't find a reason why.
She was absolutely stunning, with thick lips brought to light by bold red lipstick. Her hair was thick and the right kind of brown.
And her eyes.
He had to talk to her.
Nathan jumped the counter he worked behind, grabbing two coffees he made and brought it over.
"Hello, pretty lady."
Why'd he say that?
She didn't answer him.
He tried waving his arms, still nothing. When she finally noticed, she turned her laptop around.
I'm deaf.
That wouldn't stop him.
