[RR] Half A Heart.

It was nothing like the Ark.

Becca's island was completely different to what you first thought. The technology was different. The layout was different. There were no grey walls. Instead, they were white, clean, and looked almost freshly painted. There were no panels that stuck out, no beams or constricting walls. They were smooth, sheltering a large open space. There were no red, yellow, or black wires with thick silver tubes along the walls and ceilings. Instead, they were kept away behind the walls, away from sight. There were no tiny, white, dotted lights spaced out evenly along the walls, or large rectangular lights on the ceiling. Instead, there were large, clear, white industrial lights that hung from the ceilings and along the base of the wall that reflected off from the shiny floors. The mechanical hum that was associated with the Ark wasn't present, it was almost silent enough to hear a pin drop from across the room. The computers and screens along the walls and work spaces were more advanced than the ones from the Ark. The large red machine in the middle had a few medical beds, computer set ups, monitors, and across the way there was an incubator, long enough for someone to lay in.

The lab was quiet, for the most part anyway. Raven had been tinkering with the rocket that ALLIE had told her about—or showed her. That bit wasn't very clear to you... How ALLIE had told her it was there, that was. Sure, you knew that Raven's mind still had bits and pieces of ALLIE's code, but for her mind to be able to show her where a rocket was? That didn't seem right.

"How's she doing?" Luna asked as she walked down the stairs, standing behind you as you sat in front of one of the monitors.

A sigh left your lips as you shook your head slightly. "I don't know. I feel like I don't know anything anymore, and it's frustrating."

Luna placed her hands on your shoulders, giving them a squeeze. "Remember what I told you before?"

"Luna... That doesn't exactly apply right now."

"Doesn't it?"

There was no way that you knew how to answer her. When you first met her, on Floukru's oil rig, she seemed hesitant to even give you the time of day. It was understandable, considering what Clarke and Octavia were asking of her. They wanted her to give up everything that she believed in: peace, providing a safe haven, avoiding rules of war, and to not become Commander—simply to stay away from violence. But you didn't. You didn't push her hand, instead, you asked her if she had stayed in the Conclave, whether her views would be the same. Luna was taken aback by your blunt but honest question. She told you that the death of her brother weighed heavily on her choice to leave, she had once reveled in death, but she had found peace. She chose to no longer fight and use her rage, but to protect and care for the ones she loved. You weren't sure how you could protect Raven from something that was happening inside of her, you weren't sure if it would even mean anything if you were to all die in just a couple of days when Praimfaya arrived.

"I just want to find a cure, a way to help everyone survive. If this doesn't work, we will all die. I'm tired of watching my friends die, Luna."

Luna hummed. "They are scared to die, they want to find a way to keep themselves alive. You, on the other hand, are scared for them, you want to find a way for them to stay alive. What about yourself? I don't hear you wanting to survive as well."

"I don't deserve to live, Luna. Not after everything that I've done to get this far."

"You don't have as much blood on your hands as Clarke does, as Raven, as Murphy, Emori, Roan, or me. Believe me, your hands are clean." Luna leaned closer to your ear. "Consider yourself worthy of living."

With one last squeeze to your shoulder, she walked over to relieve Murphy from 'babysitting' duties. From afar, you could hear Murphy comment about Raven—he obviously didn't say something out of the goodness of his heart. But it wasn't very clear as he had taken the headset off and you couldn't hear it through yours, only muffled words as he handed it to Luna. You rolled your eyes, looking back down to the monitor. Murphy walked passed you, pausing at the bottom step.

"If we don't find a cure, I just want to say thanks."

Looking away from the monitor with a confused expression, you turned your head to Murphy. "For what?"

"For saving my ass when we got to this island, you know when you almost got shot trying to protect Emori and myself from the drones."

You shrugged. "You have someone that you care about, Murphy, don't throw that away."

Murphy nodded, turning back around to walk up the stairs, passing Abby as she hurried down, looking straight at you. "We need to talk," she spoke in a hushed whisper, glancing over to Luna and Raven.

"I'm almost done here," you told her, pointing at the screen. "It won't be long now before I get the results."

"You can leave them for now, but I need to speak with you."

"Have I done something wrong?"

"No."

Abby gently took hold of your upper arm, keeping her gaze on Luna and Raven as they stayed near the rocket, unaware of you or Abby. She pulled you off the seat, dragging you up the stairs again, nodding to Jackson—who was around the other side of the table. With furrowed eyebrows, you followed her around to the other side to meet Jackson. Looking down into the lab to see Raven poking her head out of the rocket, pointing to Luna as she spoke about something—something you knew Luna didn't know about, only Raven did. Abby tapped the screen and pulled you over to it. Jackson stood on the other side of you, blocking you from seeing down into the lab.

"Remember when we took some of your blood samples to test whether we could join Luna's Nightblood to it?" Abby asked in a hushed voice again. You nodded your head. "Well, we also had Raven's blood on file."

"And you're telling me this because—?"

"Because your blood matches to half of hers."

"Meaning?"

Abby turned you to face her, both of her hands were on your upper arms, there was a small smile on her face as she teared up. She opened her mouth, closing it once more as she moved her hands to your cheeks. "It means you are related."

"Well, our grandparents could have been—"

Her hands moved back to your upper arms. "No. No, it would have to be parents. A parent to be exact." Abby had a strange look on her face, one you couldn't quite read as she glanced back to Jackson.

She had already met your mother, you knew that for a fact, so you knew that it couldn't have been her. "Well, you've met my mother."

"What about your father?"

You shrugged. "You've met him too."

"No. Your real father."

"You've lost me."

"Yes, I've met both of them. But when they came to me, asking about why they couldn't conceive a child, I ran a few tests. The man your mother was married to couldn't have children of his own—your mother made me keep it a secret. She lied and said she'd find a way. I wasn't sure what that meant at the time. But, if what I'm thinking is correct, both Raven's father and your father are the same man. Raven is your half-sister."

"Why are you only telling me this?"

"Raven needs to focus, she can't have this—"

"Too late," Raven interrupted as she stood on the top of the stairs. "I heard everything through the headset." Abby let go of you and stepped back, looking at Raven as you also turned around to face her. "So, what?" Raven glared at Abby. "You were just going to make her keep quiet? Keep me in the dark, when I deserve to know?"

"Raven—"

"No, Abby!" Raven sighed. "Did you really expect me not to find out? Did you plan on telling me at all? What if I can't get the rocket to work and you can't get Nightblood to work? What then, huh? Were you just going to have us die with me not knowing?" Raven shook her head, turning away, placing her headset down on the table before she walked away.

"I'm going after her," you told Abby as you took your own headset off. "After my sister." The look you gave to Abby made her look away, she stepped to the side, allowing you to walk passed her. Raven hadn't got very far by the time you found her walking down the corridor. "Raven!" You called out to her. "Raven, hold up!"

You heard her sigh, stopped in the middle of the corridor, holding onto her leg. "She was going to have you die with that secret."

"I wouldn't have allowed that." You shook your head, walking around her to stand in front of her. "You're my sister, you deserve to know that you're not truly alone in this world, that you're not alone at the end of the world."

Raven looked up at you. "So, you would have told me?"

"Yeah, I would have told you. I was planning on yelling it to you from the top of the lab."

"That's dramatic."

"In our life, what isn't dramatic?"

She let out a small laugh, nodding along. "Can't argue with that." Raven looked up at you. "I always thought, that, after Finn, after Sinclair, that I had no one left."

You brought Raven into a hug, feeling her arms wrap around you tightly, gripping onto the back of your jacket as she buried her head into your shoulder. "You have me. You always have me. Sister or not."

"I always thought I would die alone, I don't want to do that." She shook her head, shaking as she began crying.

"Then you won't," your voice broke as you felt your own eyes water. "If you go, I go. Together."
