Chapter II

SeokJin had grown quite accustomed to that new life in the quaint town of Gwangmi, alongside his husband, living their married life finally.

He enjoyed, despite his earlier protests, dedicating time to the care of their home. Seeing that neither curtains nor rugs got dusty and that dinner and lunch were prepared to greet Taehyung when he returned, tired, from the clinic.

He was used to the hustle of a big city as was the capital, however, and in a small town such as that one, it had been a been a bit of a bore for him to adapt in the beginning.

But a month had gone by and, even though not many people sympathised with him living with his husband —dismissing it as a 'vice come from Seoul' instead of love—, the friendly brunet was quite popular as a new resident among that nice townspeople.

That was the reason he, when his chores were done, and his house was perfumed with the sweet scent of the orchids and blossoms he had plucked from his beautiful garden, Jin had a habit of wandering out, around the town so he could see what it had to offer and if he could, too, find a friend in the process.

And so he was, strolling down the small boulevard of shops and convenience stores. That summer afternoon was quite a hot one, and SeokJin —with a baby blue shirt and a sinful pair of the shortest shorts made of denim— was starting to lament the loss of that fan his husband had given him as a wedding present.

"Well, heyo, there!" greeted a red haired smiling cutie with a heart-shaped smile, against the door of a nice shop or boutique named Maison Jung.

"Hello, stranger!" Jin smiled, and proceded to walk over to the shorter red haired "You are the owner, I trust?"

He bowed to the brunet, who returned the gesture "Pleased to meet you. Jung Hoseok" he introduced himself with that same smile "You are the new resident, I trust?" he used his same words, mockingly.

"Yes. Kim SeokJin is my name" the brunet introduced himself as the red haired one allowed him inside his shop.

"And what's your game?" the shorter one asked with an amused smile at the confused face the cute brunet pulled at his words "Mine's sellin'!"

Jin was confused. He was still getting used to that Satoori of theirs. Quite slowly.

Hoseok showed him around a boutique which seemed too 'urban' for a town which, in a certain aspect, resembled one of those traditional villages of the Joseon Era.

There were all sorts of luxury items displayed all round that charming shop —from satin scarves and blouses to sweet perfumes; from delicate china to utensils or chopsticks made of engraved silver.

"This are beautiful" Jin sighed as he traced his fingertips, in a delicate fashion, over hand fans of satin painted with the motifs of Oriental landscapes.

"Of course! I do 'em myself!" Hoseok exclaimed with that blinding smile and took one from the shelf, showing it to an awed SeokJin "This is the one I feel you'll adore!"

It had a light blue satin screen with a painting —in a deeper shade of blue— of a mountain that seemed to be Jirisan* and it was held all together with a delicate mother of pearl.

Jin was breathless upon such beauty and elegance "I-it's... a bit too much for someone like me, I believe" he admitted, in a pained tone, as he felt how his heart was shredded as he handed Hoseok the fan.

"Nonsense!" the latter chirped with the same smile as always "You are beautiful, and boys as beautiful deserve presents as beautiful!" Hoseok said, no ounce of embarrassment.

Jin, nonetheless, blushed and smiled at that "But, I'm afraid I cannot..."

"You gon' take this as my gift to welcome you to the town!" he went behind the counter to put the folded hand fan in a small box, decorated with a rose of white satin "As they do in the United States, eh?"

"No, I can't accept it!" Jin pushed the box back towards the red haired, who pushed it back to his hands "And I am not being stubborn!"

"Nah" the younger confirmed "You are being adorable" with a heart-shaped smile, he went over to squish his cheeks. Jin, moaning in discomfort, tried to get free from his grasp.

"Am I interrupting, Hoseok?" questioned a deep voice from behind Jin, who was startled, and turned around to face an elegant and stunning man.

His designer sunglasses were as dark as his hair, and his caramel skin was accentuated by that expensive —and, also, designer's— navy blue suit of three pieces and tie. He was a man who exuded wealth.

"You are the new one in town, are you not?" he asked Jin, his sunglasses now off and going over to him "Kim Namjoon, a pleasure" he introduced himself with a curt bow; and a familiar Seoul accent.

"Kim SeokJin, the pleasure is-" he was about to finish, but he was surprised when the man took the hand he had extended and placed a small kiss atop it, prompting a rosy blush on his porcelain cheeks "I-is all mine" he finished in a rush, hiding his hand inside a pocket of his denim shorts.

"I'm the personal assistant to the Count Jeon, if you were wondering" he explained, and the brunet thought that made sense seeing as he was so well dressed and polite.

But he was unaware of any titled aristocrats in Korea... or, at least, not others than those émigrés who had escaped the Russian Revolution a century earlier.

There was an emperor, that was for sure, but he had not ever heard of titled nobility.

"The count is my purveyor" Hoseok added his own input in the conversation, before he went over to Namjoon so as to ultimate some details about a new batch of goods.

Or so he thought, for he was too busy admiring his brand new hand fan to hear them.

"Did I not tell ya, Mr. Kim?" Hoseok asked the taller one in a hushed tone, through which the bubbly red haired tried to be discreet "He is, indeed, a beautiful one. You can see it!"

"I see it perfectly well" smiled the raven haired, stealing a glance at the beautiful and oh so clueless brunet "But is he a virgin as you said in the text?"

Hoseok nodded, a wicked smile plastered on his face "As virgin as olive oil! Ye know one can see that" spoke with certainty in his voice.

"How can you know?" with an arched and sculpted eyebrow, asked a suspicious Namjoon "I am certain he is married, and has been so for months"

"One realises when someone as beautiful blushes so much when others touch him" the red haired explained him "If he's got a husband, well, he ain't doing a good job"

Namjoon seemed satisfied to hear that and smiled once he thought of Count Jeon's great surprise upon finding out the beauty he has wanted to have since he moved into the town with his husband, is a virgin, much to his delight.

"Well done, Hoseok" putting his sunglasses back on, smiled before caressing the shorter's smooth cheek and lips "See that he gets even prettier for tomorrow evening. You shall be greatly rewarded, then"

Hoseok, smirking, nodded his head "Anything for the count" he assured the assistance, as he left the boutique and both him and SeokJin were left to have some tea and chat.

The brunet returned home as dusk fell on the town, smiling and glad to have made a new friend, with a promise to see each other more often for tea and for Hobi —he had started calling him thus— to show him around town.

"Welcome home, finally" said his husband with a sarcastic tone the older failed to notice, seeing as he was not home to receive him with dinner.

"Tae, I thought you would not be here for an hour or so" Jin smiled, pecking his husband's lips before going over to wash his hands, to begin preparing dinner "So, what fancies your appetite tonight?"

Taehyung eyed his husband with suspicion, seeing as how he started humming a song in the process of taking out pots and pans "Is something the matter, SeokJin?"

He stopped before washing in the sink some parsley "N-no... why are you calling me so?" Jin pouted, as he hated when his husband did not use cute nicknames on him.

It made him believe he was mad at him, and Jin had some sort of trauma —to remember his father treating him so and beating him as a child was traumatic enough for SeokJin to loathe his full name.

"You seem awfully happy" the blond continued, walking to the shorter one in a menacing fashion causing him to put his back against the counter "You saw someone, by chance?"

Taehyung might seem perfect in most aspects, but there was one which spoiled the image of the square-smiled cutie: he was too possessive and let his jealousy get the better of him.

"Yes, I m-met a fr-friend" the brunet stuttered, somewhat nervous at that expresionless face of his husband's, right in front of him "H-he is so nice... very energetic... h-he runs the boutique, you know!"

One could say that, whenever he was nervous, Jin would become quite verbose and, as he tripped over his words had a tendency to further ruin the case he defended.

Needless to say he was more than surprised when he felt a pair of arms around his waist —that waspish waist which had so many men drooling as he passed them by— and the other's head against his chest.

"Please" spoke Tae against the thin blue shirt his husband was wearing "Don't ever leave me, baby angel, for I wouldn't be able to stand it"

SeokJin came out of his trance and kissed the crown of the younger's head with so much tenderness that there was no needs for words.

Both of then were interrupted when a knock on the entrance door returned them to reality, and SeokJin went over to see who it was... his husband was not letting go of his waist and the older had to drag him.

"Mr. Kim SeokJin?" the young mailman —whose presence at that time of the evening was a bit strange— asked and, when he confirmed it, handed him an elegant envelope "A letter from Jeon Jungkook"

The count? Jin thought for himself as he signed and gave the letter to his husband, so them both could read it in the living room. Dinner, for now, could wait.

The honourable Count Jeon and his wife are pleased to invite Kim SeokJin and husband for dinner on Friday at eight o'clock in their estate.

"Oh, gosh" Jin sighed with a content and dreamy smile on his plump lips. Dinner with a count, a nobleman!

SeokJin was blinded.

Hello, friends!

This chapter was very, very long compared to the previous one, though I hope it was good enough so as to compensate it 😅.

An item to define and, then, on to the next chapter:

*Jirisan Mountain: one of the most famous mountains of South Korea, where the best green tea is harvested.

Thank you for reading, and I'd appreciate it if you could give me a comment or a star if you liked the chapter.

Jungkook is going to appear in the next chapter, so stay tuned for it.

Kisses!
