Epilogue
James walked out of the hospital cabin. The old man, Kumar smiled at him, and entered his head. Kumar possessed him.
He turned lifeless.
"So, what do you think about this?" Mom said, showing me the nineteenth beautiful lehanga that I was supposed to wear for engagement day.
"All are nice." I replied timidly.
"I think pink suits you." Liam answered. I blushed.
"Okay. Pink." I said shyly.
"Oh, so much love! Live like this forever." She smiled.
We had come for shopping in some market and William had chosen my ring, and I had chosen his. Then he chose my jewellery, shoes, and now my lehanga. I was proud of him.
I got a call from the hospital. I picked it up.
"Hi Sarah. This is Rafael."
"Hi." I said. "What happened?"
"James died. The woman is okay though. She says her name is Anushka."
Anushka? What a coincidence. And James died, while she is fine? It's a miracle she is, one year coma is a long period.
"Okay." I said.
"So will you attend his funeral or no? I know it's your engagement and you may be busy-"
"I will." I answered him.
"Okay. So should we wait for you till tomorrow?"
"Yeah, please do."
"Okay." He said. Then the phone disconnected.
Someone parted me from behind.
"Madam, this is the best in town." I looked at the man. James?
The man looked the same as James. He smirked.
"All I need is you." He said. "And you love me also, don't you? You'll realise it too. Soon."
I looked around. William smiled at me. He approached me.
Before I could tell him, he asked, "Why are you standing by yourself? Come, let's buy you some more stuff."
I gave James one last glance. He winked at me.
I opened my eyes. Was it all just a dream? I smiled to myself as I realised that it was and I was asleep beside William, who wasn't up yet. I kissed his lips. He smiled in his sleep.
I turned to the other side of the bed to make myself comfortable.
James' face appeared upside down.
"It was not a dream, you idiot. It was a vision. Of your past and your future."
