I woke up this morning to see that someones arms was wrapped around my waist. I tried to sit up but I was pulled back down and pulled closer to whoever was behind me's chest. I tried to remember what happened last night but when I remembered I fell asleep on Alex's bed. Oh shit! Alex was the one who had his arms around my waist! I tried to remove his arms around my waist but his grip just tightened.

"Where are you going?" I heard Alex ask from behind me.

"To get dressed in my room and go" I said.

"Why?" Alex asked.

"I have to go see someone" I said.

Today I was going to see that girl, Rose, at her orphanage. I've been going every after noon after my birthday party fail. I only went when I wasn't at the hospital, checking up on Alex to see if he woke up of not. Rose is really sweet but I don't get why no one would adopt her, she's adorable. I actually have a gift in my room to give to her this morning.

"Who?" Alex asked, snapping me back to reality.

"You don't know them" I said as I tried to get out of his grip once again.

"Emily" Alex growled.

"Calm down, I'm only going to see a little girl, no need to be jealous" I smirked.

"I am not jealous" Alex scoffed.

"Yeah right Romeo, now let me go" I demanded.

"Fine" Alex said before letting me go.

I sighed in relief and got out of bed. I walked out of the room and into my room. I changed into something that'll keep me warm and put my black, leather jacket on. I walked out, grabbed my keys and I was out the door, to Rose's orphanage with the gift in my hand. I met Jasmine and James downstairs and hopped into the car. James drove off to the orphanage.

"Are you ok Em?" Jasmine asked, concerned.

"Yeah, why?" I asked.

"You don't look like your happy self" Jasmine pointed out and I sighed.

"I'm just confused in a way" I said.

"Why are you confused?" Jasmine asked.

"I'll tell you later Jas" I said, motioning my head at James. Jasmine nodded and we just continued to talk.

"Emily!" Rose squealed once I walked into the orphanage. Rose ran up to me and hugged me. I chuckled and hugged back.

"Hey Rose, how's it going?" I asked as we pulled away from the hug and walked over to sit down. Jasmine and James went around, playing with the little kids.

"Good, I still feel lonely when you're not around though" Rose said, frowning and I frowned as well.

"Don't worry Rose, I'm sure someone will adopt you, soon, just don't give up so soon ok?" I reassured her. Rose smiled, widely and nodded.

"Ok" Rose said.

"Good" I smiled. "Oh yeah, I got you a little gift" I said, holding up the gift wrapped box with the present in it.

"What is it!?" Rose squealed.

"Here, find out yourself" I said as I gave her the present.

Rose straight ripped the wrapping paper off and ripped open the box. I chuckled when she did that, it was so adorable when her face lit up when she saw the gift inside.

"A bracelet!? Thank you so much!" Rose shouted before hugging me.

I smiled and hugged back. I put the bracelet on her wrist and Rose just kept staring at it. The bracelet had her name on it and a few charms to go with it and to make it more better, I made sure to put it in her favourite colour.

"Don't lose that Rose" I said, pointing at her.

"Never!" Rose exclaimed and I laughed.

We spent the rest of the day playing, talking and laughing.

I walked into the apartment and closed the door. I kicked off my shoes and put the keys down. I was so tired because it was already night time and I just wanted to sit down. I lazily walked over to the couch and fell forward onto the couch. They had said on the weather forcast that there was going to be a snow storm through the night.

"I see you're back from where ever you went" I heard Alex say.

"Thanks for pointing out the obvious Romeo" I said, sarcastically. I turned on the TV and checked if there was anything on TV. Alex sat next to me as he raised one eyebrow at me.

"Are you seriously going to keep calling me Romeo?" Alex asked, amused. I smiled and nodded.

"If you get to call me sweetheart then I get to call you Romeo" I said.

"Fair enough sweetheart" Alex shrugged.

"Thank you Romeo" I nodded.

"Want to watch a movie?" Alex asked.

"Hm? Sure, I'll go change and you can pick the movie and snacks" I said as I stood up.

"Sure" Alex said.

I smiled and walked to my room. I changed into my black hoodie that went past my thighs and just normal pyjama pants. I walked out of my room and into the living room to see Alex, roaming around the kitchen. I walked towards Alex to see him mumbling to himself.

"Need help there?" I asked but then he jumped and hit his head on the cupboard. I covered my mouth from laughing as he groaned in pain and rubbed his poor head. Alex turned to me and glared.

"You scared me Emily" Alex said.

"I could tell when you jumped" I pointed out.

"Smartass" Alex mumbled.

"I heard that" I sang.

"Whatever" Alex rolled his eyes.

"I'll get the snacks, you just pick the movie and set it up" I said.

"Thank you" Alex said in relief.

Alex walked over to the TV and started looking through the movies. I decided to just make popcorn for us to share and get to cans of soda instead since we have nothing else. I walked to where Alex was and sat on the couch. I put the popcorn and drinks down on the coffee table.

"Found one yet?" I asked.

"Yeah" Alex said.

"Well? Put it in" I ordered.

"Ok, ok" Alex said before putting the CD in and sitting next to me. Alex pressed play and I saw that the movies name was 'Animal'.

"I hope you like scary movie" Alex said.

"From the look of the start, I'm not scared" I shrugged as if it was nothing.

"Well that's good" Alex said.

We got the popcorn and put it on our lap since we were sitting close together. The movie wasn't that scary so far just a little bit funny till later on when some monster pops out of no where, screeching because the dude decided to be an asshole and put the light towards the monster, smart move. I ended up jumping a bit and screaming.

"Holy shit!" I shouted, holding my heart and panting. Alex started laughing and I glared at him.

"Shut up Romeo" I hissed.

"Sorry" Alex said, in between laughs.

"Whatever" I mumbled. Alex put one arm around my shoulder and pulled me closer making me blush.

"Don't worry, I'm here to protect you" Alex said, smiling.

I didn't say anything, I just put my head down so my hair would cover my face because I probably looked like a damn tomato from the blushing. We continued to watch the movie even though I got grossed out by the blood, frickin hell, we get it, they're getting eaten no need to see the blood on their fucking faces and when the monster just pops out of no where and you see the face, it makes me want to throw my drink at the TV because of every time I kept jumping when that thing pops up when a guy or girl shows a light on it, assholes. By the end of the movie, I think I was just sitting there, frozen.

"Emily? You ok?" Alex asked, waving his hand in front of my face.

"I think so" I said.

"You think you'll be alright going to sleep?" Alex asked, concerned.

"Yeah" I said. I stood up and stretched.

"Night Alex" I said.

"Night Emily" Alex said.

We walked into our rooms and I lied down on my bed, staring at the ceiling. The wind blew against my window very strongly might I add. I heard my phone buzz and I checked my messages.

I'm outside

That was it, that was the message. I glanced at my window and got out of bed. I slowly walked towards my window and looked around outside till I saw a shadow, a persons shadow. The person walked into the light and looked up at me. My eyes widen in realization and fear when I saw Mike, smirking mischievously at me like he was planning something. In a blink of an eye, he was gone. I heard the shattering of glass and jumped a bit as I spun around. My phone buzzed again and I checked my messages again.

Go in the living room

I walked out of my room with my phone in my hand into the living room. I looked around but there was nothing till I turned around and looked at the wall. I screamed, loudly as I dropped my phone to the floor. Alex ran in and towards me. Alex hugged me to his chest as I was shaking in fear.

"What happened?" Alex asked, concerned. I pointed a shaky hand at the wall and Alex turned his head to look in the direction and his eyes widen when he saw what I was pointing at.

I'm back and to get you back, keep an eye out, I could be anywhere or someone you trusted might be there, working for me.

The writting was all in red that it looked like blood but I'm hoping it's paint or ketchup and NOT blood.

"How the fuck did he get out of prison so fast?!" Alex shouted.

"He said someone working for him so maybe someone we know must of been helping him all along and got him out of prison" I suggested.

"You think so?" Alex asked and I nodded.

"I don't think I can go to sleep knowing that they just broke into our apartment in under five minutes without us knowing" I said.

"Here, you can sleep in my room tonight instead" Alex said, leading me away from the living room. I sighed and looked away from the wall.

"Ok, thanks" I said.

"No problem" Alex said.

We walked into his room and lied down on the bed. This is the second time in a row that I've had to sleep here but I ain't complaining. It's strange how just a couple of weeks ago, I would of shouted 'NO!' and walked into my room instead but now I'm actually enjoying this and-Shut up Emily! Snap out of it! This is not the time to think about this!

"You ok there?" Alex asked making me snap back to reality.

"Huh? Oh, yeah I am" I said, smiling and Alex smiled back.

"Good" Alex nodded.

Alex hugged me again and I put my head on his chest. I closed my eyes, falling asleep in his arms and not caring about anything.
