After I woke up and got dressed, I went over to James' apartment to wake him up. Me and Jasmine had to literally push him off the bed making him fall on the floor and groan out loud in pain. Me and Jasmine snickered and high fived each other as James glared at us.

"Get up big brother, we've got to go" I said.

"But I don't want to" James whined.

"Well too bad, now get up, get dressed and let's go" I said.

"Fine" James grumbled and I smiled. Me and Jasmine walked outside and sat in the living room.

"You ready to see your dad again Em?" Jasmine asked.

"As ready as I'll ever be" I said.

"Don't  worry, I'm sure after you'll have so much fun, you'll forget about this morning" Jasmine said, putting her arm around my shoulder and grinning, excitedly.

"You know something that I don't" I pointed out.

"What!? No!" Jasmine said in a high pitched voice meaning she was lying, I always can tell when she's lying by when her voice goes hig pitched.

"You're lying, spit it out" I demanded.

"Listen, I know about what's going on but I can't tell you" Jasmine said and I sighed in defeat.

"Fine" I mumbled. I saw James walk out completely dressed and I jumped up from my seat.

"Let's get this over with" James said.

"Let's go" I said.

"Bye Jasmine!" me and James shouted over our shoulders in unisom as we walked out of the apartment.

We walked downstairs and hopped into James' car before driving off to meet our 'dad', yippee! Not! I'm still nervous because it's been like what? Five years since I saw the guy, I mean he could of changed his hair or has no hair or even worse! But I'm still very surprised my mum told him my number and the fact that she called him or he called her, whatever it was, I'm still surprised my mum picked up and that my dad memorised the number. I sighed and looked out the window.

We arrived at the coffee shop and got out of the car. James looked more nervous then me because when we were younger, they were close, how do you think James learned how to play soccer from? James missed him the most but he also hated him the most for what he did so yeah. We walked inside the door of the coffee shop, hearing that little bell ring from the top. I looked around till we saw a guy by the window, smiling at us and waving us over.

"I guess that's him" I whispered to him as we walked towards him.

"Yeah, he's changed" James said.

"Maybe he changed his personality?" I shrugged.

"Hopefully" James sighed.

We sat at the table but on the other end, next to each other. We had to stick together through this because we both still don't trust him after what happened with him and mum and the slut he calls a 'girlfriend'.

"Hey Peter" James said.

"Hey James, hey Emily, how are you?" he asked even though I can see the hurt in his eyes when James called him by his name instead of 'dad'.

"We're good, I finished highschool and James is in his third year of college this year" I said, smiling.

"Wow, what are you learning in college?" Peter asked James.

"Engineer" James answered with a proud smile.

"Impressive, what are you going to learn Emily?" Peter asked me.

"Journalist" I answered.

"You like writing?" Peter asked and I nodded.

"I love writing, it's the only thing I enjoy besides YouTube and music" I said and they both laughed as I smiled.

"So what do you do?" James asked.

"I work at own a club" Peter said and my eyes widen.

"Really?! Cool!" I exclaimed, exciredly and they both laughed at me....again. "Stop laughing at me" I pouted.

"Aw, someones sad" James teased, ruffling my hair.

"Sometimes I think that you think I have a wig" I joked and James just stared at me like 'what da fuck?' before bursting out lauhging with Peter laughing along. I huffed and crossed my arms.

"Sorry Emily, I couldn't help myself but seriously?" James said once he recovered from his laughing fit.

"Yup" I nodded.

"You are strange" James said, rolling his eyes.

"You love me big brother" I said, bumping his shoulder with mine, lightly.

"You guys still stick together, don't you?" Peter asked.

"Yup, we may fight but hey! It's a sisters job to annoy their big brother till they go crazy" I said, shrugging.

"And it's my job to tease her when she has a crush" James said, smirking down at me. My eyes widen and I blushed. Don't tell me he knows about the Alex thing!? I would die!

"You have a crush on someone? Who?" Peter asked and I bit my lip, looking down.

"Uh, it's a secret" I said, quickly.

"If you don't want to tell me, it's fine" he said.

"Really? I thought you'd bug me to find out?" I wonderd.

"Nah, I'm not going to do that" he said, smiling and I smiled back.

"Thank you" I said.

We continued to chat and have a cup of coffee but I had hot chocolate again. Dad payed for our food and ordered for us and yes, I said dad, not Peter, dad. We actually got a long the whole time and we acted like a family again.

While I was talking to dad, James nudged my shoulder and I turned my head to him. James smirked and pointed outside the window. I looked at what he was pointed at to see Alex, on a motorcycle. My eyes widen and I turned to James.

"What's he doing here?" I asked.

"He's here to pick you up for your surprise" James said.

"Now?" I asked and he nodded. "Ok" I said.

I stood up and said my goodbyes to my dad and my brother before heading out the door. I walked towards Alex who smiled and hugged me. I hugged back and smiled.

"Shall we go?" Alex asked and I chuckled.

"We shall" I said.

I sat behind Alex on the motorcycle and he gave me a helmet. Truth be told, I've never been on a motorcycle, sure my brother owned one when he was in highschool but I've never been on it because I was terrified, literally. So imagine my reaction when Alex speeded off onto the road? I quickly wrapped my arms around his torso and screamed as he just laughed at me, asshole, he's going to pay for this.

Alex stopped in front of this dance club but I was completely frozen. Alex got off and looked at me worriedly.

"Emily? Are you ok?" Alex asked.

"That.....was........AWESOME!" I shouted, throwing one fist in the air and Alex laughed.

"You scared me for a second" Alex said and I smiled.

"I know, I just wanted to scare you" I shrugged.

"You'll pay for that" Alex warned.

"Whatever, now where are we?" I asked as Alex helped me off the motorcycle.

"A dance club, today, we are going to make it the best day of your life" Aelx said and I blushed.

"Good luck with that Romeo" I scoffed. Alex picked me up bridal style making me yelp in surprise. "Put me down!" I demanded.

"You nag too much" Alex said, walking towards the building.

"Shut up" I hissed but he just chuckled.

There was some guard in front but Alex got in because he knew the owner, of course he know the owner, only Alex would. Alex walked inside and to where I saw Jasmine and James. Well he was quick to get here because I did not see him, wait, Jasmine.

"Hey guys" I greeted. Jasmine tried not to laugh at me, so did James.

"Hey, you ok there?" Jasmine asked and I glared at her. Alex put me down on the seat next to Jasmine and he sat next to James.

"I hate you" I said to Jasmine.

"You love me like a sister" Jasmine retorted.

"I know" I said, smiling. Some dude came and gave us all drinks even though we didn't order, unless James and Jasmine did. I got creamy soda! Yay! Ma fave drink!

"I knew her faavourite drink was creamy soda!" Jasmine shouted, pointing at James.

"Whatever" James mumbled.

"Thank you Jasmine for knowing me better then my own brother" I said, glaring at James.

"Sorry but to be fair, I haven't seen you drink it that much" James said.

"Ok true" I agreed.

"See" James said.

"Whatever" I mumbled.

"Let's make a toast to Emily" Alex suggested as he stood up and looked at me.

"To the most beautiful girl ever, you changed me in a way and I''d like to thank you for that" Alex said, smiling at me and I blushed. "I hope we will keep in contact after you leave because I don't know what I'd do without you!" Alex exclaimed. I was literally speechless and slouching in my seat, hidding my head so no one saw my red face from blushing too much.

"To Emily!" they all said, clanking their cups together.

"Thank you so much" I said, pulling him into a hug. Alex wrapped his arms around my waist, hugging me back and I smiled. The song 'Turn it All Around by Atticus Mitchell' and Jasmine went ape shit.

"I love this song! Let's go dance!" Jasmine shouted before pulling James onto the dance floor, excitedly and I chuckled.

"Do you want to dance?" Alex asked.

"Sure, let's go" I said before pulling his arm onto the dance floor like Jasmine did. We both just jumped around and dancing like crazy people as we laughed.

"This is so much fun!" I shouted over the music.

"That's great!" Alex shouted back and we both just laughed for no reason, yeah, we're normal. A slow came on and everyone straight away started slow dancing. I stood their, awkwardly.

"Are we going to slow dance or what?" Alex asked, holding out his hand and smiling. I smiled back and put my hand on his.

"We are going to slow dance" I said.

Alex pulled me close and put his other arm around my waist. I put my free hand on his shoulder and we moved side to side to the music. We both smiled at each other as we stared into each others eyes, it was like we were the only two in the room, oh gosh, I sound like one of those girls in those sappy romance movies! But I can't help myself.

"You ok there?" I heard Alex laugh. I shook my head back to reality and looked up at him again.

"Yeah" I nodded.

"You sure?" Alex asked as he spun me around.

"Yes Alex, stop worrying" I said, rolling my eyes.

"Fine" Alex mumbled. The song stopped and we all cheered before going back to sit down at our tables.

"What should we do now?" I asked. They all didn't answer me but just smirked at me and I looked at them confused. "What?" I asked.

"Next up in karaoke is Emily Summer's!" the DJ shouted into the microphone and everyone started cheering but I just sat there, frozen with my eyes widen.

"I can't do this" I said, quickly.

"You can Em" Jasmine said, pulling me up.

"No I can't Jas" I argued as I tried to make her let go of my arm because she was now dragging me to the stage. Everyone was literally staring at me with smiles and I bit my lip, nervously.

"Please don't make me do this Jas" I begged.

"You can't live your whole life in fear Em, it's time to face your one true fear and show everyone what Emily Summer's is made of!" Jasmine shouted and I smiled, knowing that she was right.

"You're right Jas, thank you" I said before pulling her into a hug and Jasmine hugged back.

"Now go up there and show them what you got" Jasmine said, pushing me onto the stage and to the mic before running to the DJ and whispering a song for me to sing.

The DJ nodded and Jasmine ran off to sit with James and Alex again. The beat of the song started playing and I smiled because I loved this song, I listened to it repeatedly when I was at home. The song was called 'Closer Faster' by the band 'Against The Current and I listen to all her other songs and covers. I started singing even though I was nervous but we'll see what happens.

I smiled as everyone cheered and my friends gave me the thumbs up. I walked down the stairs of the stage and up to my friends. My friends all hugged me and Jasmine started squealing. Jasmine was now squeezing me, tightly.

"You did it Em! You faced your fear!" Jasmine squealed. I chuckled and hugged back.

"Thanks Jas" I said, hugging back. We pulled away from the hug and James hugged me.

"You did it sis" James said.

"Yeah I know, thanks" I said, smiling. We pulled away from the hug and I saw Alex just awkwardly standing there and glancing at me. I rolled my eyes and pulled him into a hug.

"Thank you" I whispered.

"N-no problem" Alex stuttered as he slowly hugged back, wrapping his arms around my waist and I smiled.

The song 'Pose by Stefanie Scott' came on and Jasmine pulled my arm away from Alex and to the dance floor, jumping up and down excitedly. I rolled my eyes but didn't say anything, we both just danced and enjoyed ourselves.

"Thanks again Jas" I said, smiling as we twirled around each other.

"Why?" Jasmine asked.

"For uncouraging me" I said.

"Aw! No prob Em! Remember, us best friends got to stick together no matter what" Jasmine said, trying to scowl but ended up doing a duck face that looked angry and I started laughing, so did Jasmine.

"That was just strange" I pointed out.

"So are you dumbass" Jasmine pointed out as well.

"Thanks for the observation" I said, bowing and Jasmine chuckled.

"Just remember this one thing Em" Jasmine said, holding up her index finger.

"What's that?" I asked.

"We'll always be best friends till the very end" Jasmine said, smiling.

"Definetly" I agreed. We both laughed and continued to dance the night away.

When we got home, I was so relieved because my foot hurted so badly. I tried to walk inside but I almost fell if it wasn't for Alex, wrapping his arms around my waist.

"You ok there?" Alex asked, pulling me back up.

"Yeah, just tired and my feet are killing me" I whined.

"Of course they are, you've danced non stop" Alex argued.

"I know, I know" I said before yawning.

"Tired?" Alex asked and I nodded.

"Mhm" I hummed.

"Le's get you to your room so you can change and go to sleep" Alex said before picking me up bridal style and kicking the door closed. Alex walked into my room and put me down, gently on my bed. I smiled and sat up.

"Really?" I asked, raising one eyebrow.

"Yup" Alex nodded, smiling.

"I could of walked but oh well" I shrugged.

"Just get some rest" Alex said, rolling his eyes.

"Sir yes sir!" I did a mini salute. Alex smiled and kissed my forehead making me a bit shocked.

"You are too cute for your own good Emily" Alex said before walking out of the room and closing the door.

I smiled widely and got out of bed. I changed into some comfortable clothes and crawled back into bed. I closed my eyes and went to sleep with a smile on my face.

Sorry for the wait but I had school and I got lazy again so I might be updating tomorrow or next Saturday or whenever I can, also this book is nearly to it's end, only about three chapters left and its over. I love you all!
