I woke up to the birds chirping outside. I sat up and stretched as I yawned. I saw that Alex was still asleep so I decided to go outside. I stood up and walked outside. I smiled when I saw that it was perfectly clear with the sun shinning since Winter is almost over so it's getting cooler now. I saw the river was right next to the cave and there was a water fall too. I started climbing the tree and I sat on one of the branches, looking over at the river. I started humming the song 'This Freakin Song by The Janoskians' as I closed my eyes. It's a catchy song when you listen to it, trust me.

"What are you doing up there?!" I heard Alex's voice shout from bellow. I screamed and ended up falling out of the tree. When I felt nothing, I opened my eyes to see Alex but smirking.

"I can see you're already falling for me" Alex joked.

"You bastard, put me down" I hissed.

"Fine, geez, calm down" Alex said as he put me down and I dusted myself off.

"I'm going to go find food" I informed him before turning around and walking off.

I walked into the woods and looked around for at least any fruit at least. I saw a plum tree and smiled to myself. I mean, that's something instead of eating nothing for breakfast but the thing is it's too far up and I'm wearing a fucking dress. Again, thank you Jasmine for making me wear this dress, yay! (note the sarcasm) Ugh! I want to change out of this so badly. I sighed and jumped up, holding onto the branch. I kept climbing the branches till I got to the very top. I started picking some of the plums off the tree till I saw Alex come. I huffed and rolled my eyes but kept on picking the plums.

"What are you doing here Alex?" I asked.

"Looking around, how did you get up that high?" Alex asked.

"I flew up here" I said, sarcastically.

"Emily" Alex said, sternly.

"I climbed the damn thing, genius, what else?" I said.

"Whatever" Alex mumbled. I chucked one plum at him and it hit his head. Alex fell to the floor and groaned in pain. I smiled in success.

"What was that for?!" Alex shouted as he held his head from the pain and sat up.

"That's for yesterday when you dropped me on the floor, asshole!" I shouted back.

"You're the one that said 'let me go'!" Alex retorted.

"And that's how you let someone go?! By letting them fall!? Oh reall classy Alex, real classy" I said.

"I was only messing with you!" Alex shouted.

"I don't care what the fuck you were doing" I said. I jumped off the branch and did a flip till I landed perfectly on my feet. "And I don't care what the fuck you say because even though we're stuck together, I'm still going to try and not talk to you and not let you get to my head" I finished.

I turned around and walked away with the fruit in my arms. I sat by the river and put the fruit down. I did not expect news years eve to be a fucking disaster because now I'm fucking lost in a fucking forest! And it's with the person I despised, why me!? Why do you hate me life!? Why?! Ugh! And to top it off, I didn't have my phone here because I left it in my coat pocket, back at the town hall! Great, just great.

I suddenly heard a roaring noise and I froze. I quickly stood up and looked around. My eyes widen when I noticed Alex was still not back and I quickly bolted into the woods.

"Alex!?" I shouted, worriedly.

"Ow! Fuck!" I heard Alex's voice, hiss.

I ran towards the voice to see Alex on the ground, holding onto his arm with the same bear in front of him. My eyes widen again as I was frozen in my spot. I quickly broke off one of the branches from the nearest tree as the bear went straight to my face and roared. I hit the bear on the head and it whimpered.

"Run!" I shouted to Alex as I held onto the branch tightly to me.

Alex ended up running away but when he ran past me, he grabbed my arm and pulled me with him but also making me drop the branch I was holding. We ran as fast as we could back to the cave. We ran into the cave and sat down on the hard floor.

"What the hell happened out there?!" I demanded.

"I was just walking till the bear showed up and scratched my upper arm" Alex explained, letting go of his arm which was bleeding a lot. I gasped as I looked at the three scratch marks on his arm.

"Come on" I said to Alex.

I helped him up and walked outside the cave, to the river. We sat by the river and I got a long piece of grass. I wrapped it around my four fingers and dabbed some water on it. I whipped the blood off his arm so it wouldn't get infected. After the wound was cleaned, I stood up and closed my eyes. I ripped the bottom of my dress and wrapped it around Alex's wound. Well, there goes a perfectly good dress but oh well, I hated dresses anyway so yeah.

"Thank you" Alex mumbled.

"You're welcome" I mumbled.

I sighed before standing up and walking back into the cave. I sat by the corner of the cave and curled into a ball, hugging my self. My arms were getting pale, so was my legs by the look of it. I may of said it was getting warmer but it's still cold with the snow around and I'm freezing. I can't take this coldness anymore, I just can't, or else I'll freeze to death, literally. I lied down and closed my eyes.

I woke up to a little light and I yawned. I felt something warm on me and I looked down at myself to see that I was wearing Alex's jacket that he wore with his suit. I looked ahead to see Alex, sitting in front of a fire and trying to warm his hands up. I sat up and crawled over to Alex.

"Thanks" I said as I put my hands near the fire to warm my hands up.

"No problem, you saved me, it's something in return but it still doesn't mean we're friends" Alex said and I nodded. Wow, Déjà vu much?

"I wasn't going to say we were friends now" I said. Alex was about to say something till I heard my name being shouted out. Me and Alex looked at each other in confusion.

"Emily!" I heard again.

Me and Alex literally ran out of that cave like a race car and looked around for the voices we were both hearing. I saw the bushes, moving and then I saw the best thing ever! Jasmine and James! When they saw us, they ran up to us and James hugged me, tightly as I hugged back.

"We've been looking for you all day!" James exclaimed.

"I've missed you so much!" Jasmine shouted as she pulled me out of James grip and hugged me.

"I've missed you too Jas" I said as I hugged back.

"Let's all go home" James said.

"Please tell me you know your way out?" I begged.

"James" Jasmine said but James just bit his lip and shrugged.

"James!" me and Jasmine shouted in unisom.

"I'm sorry if I didn't bring a map or anything!" James shouted back. Me and Jasmine groaned and sat on the grass. 

"At least we brought you this" James said. James wrapped a blanket around me and I smiled at the warmth.

"Thanks bro" I said.

"No problem little sis" James said. I sighed and put my head on Jasmine's shoulder.

"Let's all go inside the cave" Alex suggested.

We all stood up and walked into the cave where the fire was still going. We sat around the fire and I wrapped myself back into the blanket. Me and Jasmine were lying down on our stomach with our heads in our hands as we put the blanket over the both of us.

"Well, what should we do now?" I asked.

"How about we each ask each other questions that we don't know about each other?" Jasmine suggested and we all agreed.

"Ok, who's first?" I asked.

"I'll go" Alex said.

"How much actual girlfriends have you had, like an actual girlfriend, not a one night stand?" Jasmine asked and we all looked at Alex.

"None" Alex said.

"Wow" I mumbled.

"You're turn Emily" Alex said, glaring at me but I just smirked because I had nothing to hide.

"Go ahead, ask away" I said.

"Why are you scared of singing?" Alex asked. Oh fuck! Why that question!? That one, no one knows about besides my mum and brother but not Jasmine. I sighed in defeat.

"A long time ago, when I was probably in year 6, we had this play but a musical one, I got the lead and this bitch, Sandy, got super jealous. I was on stage and she decide to do a 'little' prank but it ended up way worse when she cut one of the sand bags and it hit my leg instead. I fell to the floor, clutching my leg but the whole school decided it was funny and laughed their fucking asses off, even Sandy while I tried to crawl away with a broken leg and since then, I swore never to sing in public again" I explained and let out a big breath. Alex and Jasmine were gaping at me.

"Why the hell didn't you tell me!?" Jasmine shouted as she threw her arms in the air.

"I didn't want to tell anyone" I said. Alex just kept quiet as he stared at me so I looked away and at Jasmine.

"Your turn, are you and James dating?" I asked, smiling and Jasmine blushed, so did James.

"Yes" Jasmine mumbled.

"Yay!" I squealed.

"Shut up" James mumbled and I chuckled.

"Ok now it's James' turn, What's your biggest fear?" Jasmine asked.

"Serial killers" James answered.

"Really?" I asked and he nodded.

"Wow" I said to myself.

"Whatever" James mumbled.

"Ok, Alex, I got a question for you, why haven't you talked about your parents?" I asked and he instantly frowned which made me feel bad that I asked that question.

"They're.....they're dead" Alex said as he looked down and my eyes widen. Now I wish I hadn't asked that, now I feel bad.

"I'm so sorry Alex" I said.

"Yeah, whatever, I don't need anyone's pity" Alex spat before standing up and walking outside the cave.

"I'll be back" I said before standing up and running outside the cave, to Alex. I saw Alex, sitting by the river and I walked up to him. I sat beside him with my knees to my chest.

"You ok Alex?" I asked.

"Why are you here?" Alex asked as he turned his head to me.

"To see if you are ok" I said.

"Well, why do you care anyway?" Alex snapped.

"I care because I'm not a heartless bitch like your one night stand's" I said, calmly but then Alex glared at me.

"You know, just leave me alone and go back to your friend and brother ok?!" Alex shouted in my face.

"Well, if that's what you want, fine!" I shouted back. I stood up and walked back to the cave. I walked inside and lied down by the fire, frowning.

"Are you ok?" Jasmine asked.

"Yeah, I just need some rest please" I said.

"Sure sis" James said.

I curled myself into the blanket and turned to the other side. I sighed and closed my eyes. I let myself take me to my dreamland and away from this shit load of drama.
