Chapter 68~ Where Am I? Who Am I?

*Olivine's POV*

Okay, Alfred is going to hate me. After swimming around in the pool for hours and seeing jiggle physics, I grew tired from the water. So, I crashed on the couch like any normal person. I made sure to change into some cool clothing before taking a nap. It's so warm here in Missouri, but the fans help. Ava watched over me and everything came to be a moderate summer day. Although...

ALL I SEE IS FLUFFY WHITE SNOW! FOR THE LOVE OF PANCAKES, I BETTER BE IN CANADA!

Okay... so this is happening. I must have poof-ed off in my sleep again. I seriously need to control that, I keep getting in trouble that way! Daddy isn't going to let me stay over anyone's house at this rate. I hope he doesn't punish me, I mean, it's not like I can really control my powers... then again I haven't even tried.

It's cold, colder than usual. The air felt rather lonely along with a sense of foreboding. I gathered myself from the bed of ice and moved to gain some heat. I walked around to keep my body warm, but that didn't work the way I wanted it to. I was wearing summer clothes after all, plus no shoes. Isn't this just a great situation to be in?

An icy pain rose in my veins as I glanced at my hair. It was already crystalizing into a shiny white from the immediate exposure. I held my arms and shivered from the chill. This place definitely wasn't Canada... even Canada has a limit to how cold he can be. This cold was emotional and slightly nerve-racking. I sensed as if something bad were about to happen.

It felt like pounds of snow drifted onto my body as I walked farther and farther. My tiny footprints in the snow never seemed to end in the hoarfrost blizzard. The chill on the tip of my nose, my frozen feet, my sight only reaching a few feet from the wall of ice that fluttered in the wind. I could already feel my body weakening; my energy was draining faster than ever before. It took longer for me to pass out in Canada, I've only spent a few minutes here.

"H-Hello?" I called to the wind. My voice was drowned out by the abundance of snow.

"Is... I-Is anyone th-there?!" My little voice was no use.

My toes felt like rocks, I couldn't feel them anymore; my hands burned from the dropping temperature. My hair was almost completely white as a silhouette appeared in the distance. That's when my blurry vision worsened. From time to time, my eye lids grew too heavy to hold. Ever so often, I would close them for just a second. However, I'd force them open to stay alive. With each struggle, the silhouette became closer into view.

The most noticeable thing about them was a tan scarf that hung around their neck like a noose. Their aura was slightly frightening and told the spirits and snowy faeries to beware. When they came up to me I could tell that they were very tall.

They turned out to be a man. The tall man wore a long, heavy tan coat, green pants, black gloves, and a long tan scarf. He appeared to be very pale with a round, childish face and a big nose. His hair was slightly wavy and a pale ash blond. His violet eyes were somber and seeking. The most odd thing about him was his smile. It gave off a gentle vibe, but it appeared to hide the torture that he has endured.

My body instantly wanted to escape when he was in front of me. He was like a skyscraper compared to my little body. However, something about him made me want to stay. He then looked down to me with his childish grin.

"Why are you crying, little one? Are you lost?"

His accent was... Russian?

I couldn't answer. The frost sowed my lips together. The only warmth I had was coming from my face and ran down my cheeks.

"Don't cry, you must be cold. Russia will help you," his large hands handled me with such care. No one has ever held me this carefully before. It was as if he thought he would break me if he put too much pressure on me.

I'd have to admit, for having such cold eyes, his intent was warm. I snuggled into his scarf as he walked back the way he came. Again, his hold was so light. I almost cried once more, all because something happened to him to make him think that he would break what ever he touched. I could tell that he has been through some history that changed him.

I probably shouldn't, but I want to help this person.

~ Time Skip ~

My eyes fluttered open and locked on the crackling fire. I was wrapped in a giant fluffy blanket and was laid by the fireplace. Rolling out of the fluffiness, I found myself alone in this living room. My hair had unthawed and my body became easier to manage. Still, I wrapped the blanket around my arms and explored the house for life.

It dragged behind me like a cape as I heard large foot steps. Following the source, I came to find the Russian man in the kitchen baking something. He had a pink apron around his front to keep his clothes from getting dirty. When he turned around, a tray of chocolate chip cookies greeted me. My face lit up as he looked to me.

"You like cookies, da?" He offered.

I took one step before thinking.

How do I that this person is safe? Daddy thought me about stranger danger but... I don't sense him to be a bad person. Lots of people that I didn't know have taken me under their care, he's trying to do the same. He shouldn't hurt me... but he could. What do I do?! Daddy... I miss you...

The Russian man approached me with a calm aura. First, he set the tray on the stove then he bent down and placed his hand upon my head.

"Don't be scared, little one. I may look scary, but I am nice. You can trust me. My name is Ivan, what is yours?" His tone was soft as his smile that never faded.

I remained quiet before speaking up, "O-Olivine..."

"Olivine? You have a pretty name," he complimented as I became more comfortable with him.

"Thank y-you... Can I-I have a c-cookie?"

"Of course," he welcomed.

We sat at the table and I tasted the sweet treat. His baking was amazing! For such a big person, he sure can bake delicious foods. I must have eaten at least three cookies before gazing at Ivan. His smile was different this time, it was more... genuine. He then got up and retrieved something from the cabinet. It was a clear liquid in a bottle with Russian words in it. I think it read... Vodka? What's Vodka?

"Are you thirsty?" He poured a cup for himself then poured a cup for me.

I nodded as he passed me the drink. I'm pretty sure that it was water because it was clear. Although, it tasted a little weird when I took a sip. I didn't think much of it as I took another sip. Ivan was drinking it too so it wasn't like he was drugging me. Soon after, I started to feel a little wobbly. I think I felt this way when I had a drinking contest with Gilbert in Canada.

Well, time to contemplate life once again.

~ Some time later ~

*3rd Person*

"Ivan, where did you-- aiya! Don't feed the child Vodka, aru!" The Chinese man scooped up Olivine to separate her from the alcohol.

"It was Russian water, da," Ivan answered with his calm tone and innocent grin.

The man sighed as Olivine's state varied her thought process. She looked at him and mentally questioned his gender. From her curious state, she patted his chest and soon came to a conclusion.

"Male~?" she giggled.

"Yes, I am male! Someone gets it!" his oversized sleeves amused Olivine.

The Chinese man had dark brown hair that was tied back into a ponytail and brownish-amber eyes. He wore a red mandarin jacket with white pants and brown slippers.

He wasn't concerned that a random child appeared when he returned, that happened a lot to him during history. He was only concerned that the child was under Ivan's care. No offense to Ivan, but he hasn't had enough experience to take care of a child that wasn't related to him.

Time passed as the Chinese man let Olivine sober up. She was still wrapped in the blanket, it brought comfort to her and blocked out the light. When she looked sober enough, he spoke to her.

"My name is Yao, what's yours?" He asked.

"Olivine..." she mumbled from he pain of sudden light.

"You must be long way from home, where are your parents?"

"... I-In England... I w-was staying w-with Alfred~" her adorableness amazed Yao.

Yao perked up, "Alfred Jones?"

"How d-did... you kn-know?" She sat in his lap.

"It's because he owes me money!"

Yao sighed before making the decision to call his ally. Even if he wasn't calling for his money this time. He was great at multitasking, holding Olivine with one arm and calling Alfred with the other.

"Yo! The Hero's speaking!" Alfred answered.

"America--"

"Woah! China, dude, I'll pay you back I promise!" His words were frantic one he heard Yao's voice.

"For once, that's not why I called. I have your child."

"SHE'S IN CHINA?!" Alfred exclaimed.

"Aiya! She's in Russia!"

"That's it, I'm... not going ever there because it's too fucking cold. She'll come back around anyways..." Alfred fidgeted on the other end.

"Be a man and take care of her! How did she get over here anyway?"

"Long story short, she has crazy powers and shit and teleportation seems to be one of them. She's too young to control them though," he inquired. He didn't know how he would explain this to England if he called to check up on her.

In the living room, Olivine looked over Yao's shoulder to see three shivering men. Well, trembling was more like it. The first one seemed to be the youngest with short, curly blond hair and dark blue eyes; the second one was a simple looking boy with square glasses and a narrow face. He also had dark blond hair and blue eyes; the third one was a plain-faced young man with shoulder-length brown hair and green eyes. They were some sort of trio and seemed to stick together.

Being the kind-hearted child she is, Olivine waved and gave them a reassuring smile. The third one waved and smiled back at her naive nature. When Yao's call finished he hurried to the bathroom. Olivine's face was showing the after effects of drinking.

"How much did you let her drink?! She's throwing up rainbows!" Yao called from the bathroom.

Olivine giggled from his reaction. Her rainbow colored bile is a mystery to everyone.

~ In the second dimension ~

*Olivia's POV*

I awoke alone in my little room. Someone changed my clothes because I'm wearing fuzzy pajamas in the middle of the day. Pumpkaboo floated over to me with a worried expression. I rubbed his pumpkin body in an apologetic gesture. Sliding off my bed, I heard some noises coming from the living room. I put a finger to my lips and let him follow me. I tip-toed out into the hall and listened carefully to the conversation.

"What. Did. You. Do. To. Her?" Allen demanded.

"I did nothing, she wanted to regain what she had lost," Kuro simply answered with his scowl.

"So you bring her back half-dead?! What ever she had lost shouldn't have been that fucking important!"

"You wirr be surprised..."

"I know my sister better than you do. She would never hang around with the likes of you."

"If you rearry knew her as you say, then she wourdn't have been in such distress. Her mentar state is on the verge of breaking--"

"What do you know? Stay away from her," Allen's power engulfed the atmosphere.

Kuro stood his ground and never faltered. His determined gaze pierced through Allen's body. Kuro's aura was incredible! A thirsty red-orange surrounded him as his mind focused on his only objective. Maybe it was because an important person told him to protect me, or maybe it was because he truly cared, but he wasn't letting anything deter him. Allen held an immense dark red aura from his rage and frustration. He was seconds away from bashing Kuro's face in.

"My intentions are not what you assume. I wourd rather die than bring any harm her. I am simpry protecting what is precious," Kuro reasoned.

Allen finally put the pieces together, "Oh hell no, she's been seeing you?! And she blushed-- Don't you fucking touch my sister!"

Allen lunged at Kuro but he quickly defended himself. My body went into fight or flight mode as I leapt onto the scene. They backed away before they could throw any punches. I stood in between with my arms out wide. My body trembled and my mind skipped over my jumbled thoughts. What ever words came out of my mouth were from pure fright.

"Allen, don't hurt him! He didn't do anything wrong!" My attempt to be commanding failed in a whiny voice.

"Stay out of this Olivia," Allen tried to move around me.

"No, It's my fault for not telling you. I just wanted to remember what happened to me before I met this family. I wanted to remember the woman who I've seen in my visions. I just wanted some answers!" I reasoned.

"Then what the shit does he have to do with that?!" He made a gesture towards Kuro.

"He's the closest thing to a guide that I have, he knows the woman that I am looking for--

"What does that even mean?! You don't even know what you're talking about!" Allen sensed my faltering stance.

"It's another enigma that I have to uncover but--"

"Olivia, just go to your room," he pointed into the hallway.

"No! Not until--"

"Don't make this difficult," he took one step towards me.

"It doesn't have to be if you'll just listen to me!" My words didn't seem to reach him.

"This is ridiculous--"

"FOR ONCE WOULD YOU JUST SHUT UP AND LISTEN TO ME?!" I bursted.

The room grew silent as I gathered my thoughts. I never wanted it to come to this, I just wanted my voice to be heard. Unprepared words poured from their roots as I retained my argument. Another part of me took over as I kept his interest. Something about this atmosphere made me succumb to my emotions.

"Look Allen... you may not like him, but I sure as hell will not let my only lead be discarded like trash. You think you know me, but you will never fathom the combat that I go through each day with my puzzle-like flashbacks. Have you ever experienced the aggravating feeling of knowing that you lost something important? Something so important that it makes you who you are? Do you know how it feels to be so lost that you forget why you hate yourself? How it feels to recognize the things you've done but not remember that it was your fault?"

I could feel my voice deepen as my attitude strengthened me. Nothing could stop me now, not even these naive tears that huddle in my eyes. With clenched fists and a racing heart, I finally let my inner leader roam.

"You have no place to demand him to abandon me. If he goes, I go. I will not abide by the command of a mere peasant anymore. I will fight until I get some answers as to why I have to suffer the wars and inflictions that my sister has endured for millennia."

Allen was flabbergasted while Kuro was smirking knowingly. It was almost as if he expected this to happen. Short breaths huffed out of me as my aura gained dominance.

"My sister?" He repeated, "I wouldn't be surprised, you two have the same commanding presence..." He slowly backed away as of he remembered the fight he had with Olivine.

My body reverted back to my normal phase. I wanted to shy away from the scene. That wasn't me, I don't say things like that. I can't say things like that. I should wash my mouth with soap. However, with trembling fingers, I stood my ground.

Allen's expression softened. He seemed to have reasoned with himself, "Fine... if he's really benefiting you, then he can stay. But I'm watching you two... always watching..."

The tension was released from my muscles as his words sunk in. I had won this battle. I quickly thanked him before offering a discussion. I wanted these two to get along one way or another. They both wish my well being and they both care about me. They needed to be aware of what goes on in my black hole of a mind.

So, I explained what I have seen and remembered to Allen. I made sure to sit in between him and Kuro so they don't kill each other. He seemed to grasp the situation after my explanation. He wasn't really a dense person, he's just a bit overprotective.

~ Later ~

Allen has calmed down since earlier today. I'm glad that he hasn't forbade me from seeing Kuro, he really is the only lead that I have. We mostly stayed inside and played video games for the rest of the day. Then we watched some movies and shows on Netflix before going out to restock on Oreos, Chex Mix, hummus, and pita bread. I confronted him about the Oreos but he said that they are accidentally a vegan food. Oliver called to check up on me since we kinda did leave him in the dark. I didn't tell him about Kuro and my flashbacks because I didn't want him to worry. Plus I wanted him to let me go to Canada next, I want to be closer to Matt.

I fell asleep on Allen halfway through an episode of Supernatural and I think he carried me to my room. I soon woke up again from having a nap earlier and saw him sitting at my bedside. I knew the look on his face, he wanted to ask me more questions about Kuro. Well, he has the big brother figure down pat. Now I just need him to back off a little bit...

"Did he touch you anywhere?" He checked exposed parts on my body.

"No, Allen."

I lied.

"Did he kiss you?"

"No, Allen."

Lied again.

"Do you want to be more than friends with him?"

"No, Allen."

I... probably lied?

"At least one of those is a lie, your answers are the same!"

"Allen, it's midnight... can I sleep now?" I moaned, wrapping my blanket all around myself.

He thought to himself before answering, "Fine, but don't sneak off this time! I'll ground you if I don't see you in the morning."

"Alright, alright. Goodnight, Ollie," I mocked.

"Night, Cupcake," he mocked back.
