Personality:  When facing challenges, Shin sees the big picture and focuses on how actions in the present will affect the future. When he was told about Ozai's plan to destroy the Earth Kingdom during the return of Sozin's Comet, Shin realized that he no longer wanted to be associated with the Fire Nation. He left during the Day of the Black Sun, and has been wandering ever since. Currently, he does his best to maintain a low profile to avoid attention.

Skills: While Shin was in the Army, he learned typical soldier skills such as navigation by the stars, basic first aid, how to create strategical/tactical battle plans, and is also knowledgeable in military history. 
While fighting, he mostly relies on his firebending, and exceptional hand to hand combat skills.

Likes: The warmth of the sun, sparring, the beach

Dislikes: Seafood, being awake at night, cold weather

Flaws (optional) : Shin is not afraid to steal.  He mostly steals from people who could handle it (the rich) and tries to take only small items that will not cost the people he steals from very much

Backstory: Shin was born into a low-class family in the Fire Nation. He was the youngest of three brothers, and often felt as if he had to live up to his elder siblings' achievements. His parents both worked as servants in the Royal Palace, and both of them wanted better lives for their children. Both of Shin's older brothers joined the military as soon as they were old enough, and immediately created reliable reputations for themselves. Shin followed his father's wish of joining the military when he was of eligible age, but quickly realized that life was not for him when he heard of Ozai's plans to destroy the Earth Kingdom during the Eclipse.  On the Day of Black Sun, Shin defected from the Fire Nation Army and has been wandering around the Earth Kingdom ever since.
