A/N: MessyTheAuthor created my new cover for this story. Thank you so much, I love it. It's perfect and creepy and amazhang. Also, I meant to update this way earlier but a lot of stuff came up- sorry.

"Before I play the tape again, you okay?" Percy asked, concerned about his girlfriend. "I will be. I've had worse than the things on here, but I was young. It was my first horrific experience. I need you here, watching it with me, to move on." Annabeth replied. "As long as this isn't going to hurt you more."

Magnus filmed the figure as it emerged, and you could hear his whimpers. The thing straightened out, and even seemed to gain some weight and colour. It lifted up it's head to reveal-

"What the Hades was she doing there? Was that meant to be a joke? It wasn't funny." Percy blathered on, surprised and disgusted.

"Nana...what were you doing?" Annabeth asked. "I was just playing with my grandchildren, dear." Nana replied, smiling widely to reveal half a set of rotting teeth. "But you never said!" Magnus protested, breathing heavily out of fear. "Was it not a nice surprise?" Nana said, her mouth still pulled back in to a grin. She staggered away, almost limping.

Annabeth got to her feet quickly and helped Magnus up. "Did she look....different to you? When she was chasing you?" Magnus asked with a frown. "I didn't get a chance to see her properly. She's just Nana. You're just scared." Annabeth replied.

"No way do you believe that!" Percy protested, gesturing at the screen of the TV. "Did. I don't believe that now, and more than likely didn't then. Use the correct tense, at least."

"I'm not. I'm honest." Magnus argued weakly, glaring at Annabeth/the camera. "You might think you are, but that's not true. Now come on, it's getting late. We should sleep."

"The Sun's literally just setting." Percy pointed out. Annabeth rolled her eyes. "How many times must I remind you that we were 5 and 6?" Annabeth sighed. "An infinite number, just so I can hear your voice." Percy said cheesily as a joke.

(A/N: skipped dinner scene because yawn)

"Just stop hogging the bathroom, Na-Ba, you butt!" Magnus complained, bouncing the camera as he jumped from foot to foot. "Use your manners!" Annabeth exclaimed from the other side of the bathroom door.

Annabeth grinned at her behaviour towards Magnus. It was both childish and motherly at the same time, which basically summarised her overall attitude during the first few years of her life.

"Plleeeeeeeasseee." Magnus begged. Annabeth unlocked the door, and walked past casually, as if she hadn't just tortured her cousin through his bladder. "Thank you thank you thank you!" Magnus exclaimed as he ran in.

Magnus slipped on his butt on the bathroom tiles in his hurry to go to the toilet, but he picked himself up and locked the door without a complaint. "Your welcome." Annabeth replied through the door, before sinking into her bed, her camera by her head. In a few seconds, Magnus had left the bathroom and jumped into his own bed. "Mags. Turn off the bathroom light." Annabeth commanded, sitting up. He bit his lip. "Do I have to?" He asked.

"Yes." Percy predicted.

"Yes. Or we won't be able to sleep." Annabeth said. "I won't be able to anyway." Magnus complained. "I told you you were scared." "I hate you." "Love you too. Come here. You can sleep with me tonight." Magnus hesitated, but Annabeth drew back her covers and he leapt in to them desperately. "Thank you, Na-Ba." "'ts fine. Sleep."

"How cute." "Shut up."

Magnus turned on the camera abruptly when he heard a scream. It was high-pitched and incredibly long. The scream kept going until the lamp was switched on and Magnus shook Annabeth awake. She sat up suddenly, free from her nightmare. She was crying. "Shh. Tell me what you dreamt." Magnus said quietly, subtly zooming in on on her face.

"It was really awful. There were spiders everywhere. They were scuttling all over me, b-but I couldn't move! My leg was stopping me. I don't know what happened to it. Then, send got caught on me and dragged me down in to this pit."

"Demigod dream of Tar-tar....Tartar sauce." Percy analysed, stumbling over his words as overwhelming memories came flooding over him. Annabeth nodded shortly, lost in her own mind as well.

"That blows. You okay?" Magnus said. Annabeth pursed her lips. "Let's just leave the lamp on for tonight." She decided. "Happily." Magnus agreed. They both lay back down.

"Can you sleep?" Annabeth whispered. After a moment, Magnus replied. "No. I can't stop thinking about Grandpa and Nana." "Oh. I can't stop thinking about my nightmare. And them, I guess." "Then let's not say anything about those stuff." "Sounds wise." "I don't even know what that means."

"That's basically everyone around you, Wise Girl." Percy stated, though he was still shaken up about Annabeth's childhood nightmare about their fall into Tartarus.

"Look it up. I can't tell you everything." "You can, you just don't want to."

Percy looked down at Annabeth. "No more excuses for you, then, Human Wiki." "Ugh. Wikipedia isnt even accurate. Anyone can editor set up the information." "So, say I wanted to prove a point about Gaia...." "Don't even think about it."

"I shouldn't have to tell you everything." "Why not? I tell you everything." "Really? So, tell me, Mags, are you scared, or will you look inside the shed?" "What, now?!" "No, idiot. Tomorrow." Magnus' eyes widened. "Alone?" He managed, nearly inaudibly. "Duh."

Percy was going to comment about that being a little bit mean, but decided against it when he remembered the pain in his back after Annabeth judo flipped him.

Magnus yawned. "Go to sleep, if you want. I'll be okay." Annabeth told him. "No, you won't." "Yes, I will." "....I am tired." "Then sleep. I'm older, so you don't need to worry about me." Annabeth said firmly. "...that's not....a...good....reason...to not care..." Magnus mumbled, and soon enough he fell asleep. "I don't think I'm okay." Annabeth admitted eventually to herself, but she curled up into a ball and turned off the camera.

"You should've just told him that you weren't okay." "Couldn't have him seem better than me, could I?" "Your hubris is showing." "Your blood is showing." "Ha ha. So funny. I'm going to need stitches because I'm laughing so hard." "That's not why you'll need stitches if you're not careful, Seaweed Brain."

A/N: This chapter seems kinda bad for the time it took me to write tbh. Oh well. What's done is done. Hope you enjoyed it anyway. School's starting again soon but I'll post as much as possible. Till next time,
