A/N: In my mind I'm trying to figure out what Magnus' Hogwarts House would be and the struggle is real. I also had a dream where Magnus met the Greeks and Romans but he and Reyna had a lot of chemistry in my dream so now it's like one of my OTPs.

Percy didn't know if he had said something, but Annabeth had suddenly fallen silent, lost in thought. He figured that she wouldn't tell them, so the only way to actually understand her current emotions would be to continue watching the tape and see the events that had shaken her up so much.

The camera had apparently been turned off, as now they had arrived at their grandparents house. Annabeth seemed to be very excited by something, as she was bouncing up and down on the balls of her feet. She snatched the camera from Magnus. "Hey!" He complained. "Shush." Annabeth hissed as she filmed the mansion up and down. It was very old, and looked like it would collapse any day. It might have once been a luscious scarlet colour, but now the paint had faded from years in the sunlight to a sad, pale pinkish colour. The wooden door had a few splinters poking out. The window frames were mouldy.

"I would not want to live there." Percy decided.

"Well, kids, let's go inside!" Nana exclaimed as Grandpa unlocked the brittle door. Magnus tossed a longing look at the hills that enclosed the isolated mansion. Annabeth grabbed his arm and dragged him through the doorway. "Later." She promised.

"How can you be mean but caring at the same time?" Percy pondered out loud. "By being a reasonable parent." Annabeth answered. It was quiet, but Percy was glad to have gotten a response.

"What would you like to drink? Some tea? Juice?" Nana asked as she opened a small white fridge. Annabeth set the camera down cautiously, not wanting to break it. "We'll both have water." She decided. "But I want Coke!" Magnus complained. "You know you're not allowed Coke." Annabeth said firmly.

"Yeah, only blue Coke is allowed." Percy said. Annabeth rolled her eyes at him.

"Oh, ho! You can have whatever you would like to drink when you're here!" Grandpa declared. "Get the pair of them a Coke!" He said to Nana. "Of course. You're both growing children- you need sugar!" She exclaimed. Annabeth scowled. Magnus grinned, and drank the entire glass in one go, which probably wasn't very smart for somebody with asthma. Annabeth seemed to pick up on this, but it was too late to stop him now. She took his glass and set it down on the kitchen counter. Then, she finally took a sip of her own Coke. "Now, we need to establish some...rules." Grandpa said whilst Nana nodded vigorously. Annabeth set down her glass warily. "Okay..." She said hesitantly. Magnus groaned, apparently frustrated at a lack of freedom. "Firstly, you must never go into the basement. There's mould in there that could harm you. Secondly, you have to go to bed quite early. We're very old, and you're very young, so we must be reasonable. That is all." Grandpa listed. "That seems fair." Annabeth agreed. She clamped a hand over Magnus' mouth before he could argue, but he bit her. Clenching her jaw impatiently, she drew away her hand. "That's good to hear. Now, did you want fresh air? I recall something about it earlier...." Nana's voice trailed off as the cousins hurried to the front door.

"Fresh air was good for Magnus' asthma, and my Aunt Natalie always took him hiking. That's why we were so eager to be outdoors." Annabeth explained to Percy, who nodded. "She should have taken him swimming, though." He said.

Magnus was holding the camera as he and Annabeth walked up the hills, but not too far away from the mansion. He dropped the camera. Annabeth huffed.

"I'm going to call you the Big Bad Wolf now." Percy told Annabeth.

The image was completely black, as the camera landed on it's lens. Annabeth retrieved it and pointed it at her cousin. "If you'd broken the camera, I would've killed you." She scolded sternly. "Okay, mummy." "You're not funny." "You know I am, Na-Ba."

"I really want to meet your cousin now. He's awesome." "He hates the colour blue. Besides, he was 5 here. He's not anything like that now- as I told you before." "Who could hate blue?!" "Magnus. Duh."

"I hate you calling me Na-Ba." Annabeth complained. "It's a very nice name." "Fine. I'll just call you....Mags." "That's a girls name!" "You'll live, Mags."

"I really hope 'Mags' doesn't stick, Na-Ba." "I wouldn't give up that easily, Seus." "That's not even a name." "Neither is Na-Ba." "...." "Thought so."

A distant call sounded from the mansion. Magnus looked at Annabeth, who was still behind the camera. "I'll race you." He challenged. "No, you won't, Mags. You'll have another asthma attack." Annabeth replied, taking his hand and walking with him slowly to the mansion.

On the way to the mansion, they filmed behind the barn, where Grandpa was cutting wood. "Hello, Grandpa!" Annabeth called out, but he did not hear them. Suddenly, he walked off into the shed and shut the door behind him. "I wonder what's in the shed." Magnus said. "It's none of our business." Annabeth responded.

"What if it's like, dead bodies, or something?" Percy wondered. "This is a recording of past events- I already know what's in there ." "What?" "Just watch, Seaweed Brain. You'll find out." "It's hard to concentrate for that long." "I know. But, if you miss it, I'll tell you or skip back, okay?" "Okay...maybe okay will be our always." "So that's who Piper brought with her to see The Fault In Our Stars." "I don't know why you'd turn her down, Wise Girl."

"Ah, you've returned. It's getting late. You need to be off to bed almost immediately after we eat." Nana said as she cooked in the kitchen. "It's 17:30?" Magnus said, confused. Annabeth slapped his arm gently. "Of course, Nana. What are we eating?" She asked. "Spaghetti Bolognese. It's an old recipe of mine. You'll be nodding off soon after eating it, I promise." Magnus frowned. "That doesn't sound very good." He said warily. Annabeth slapped him again (still gently, because she didn't want to hurt him). "She meant that we'd be so full we'd become tired, of course!" She said. "Of course." Nana agreed, giving a tight smile.

"She has next to no lips." Percy noticed. "What, were you planning to kiss her?" Annabeth joked. He looked disgusted. "I'd rather kiss Zeus!" Lightning clapped outside.

A/N: Okay, this one is a bit naff. Oh well. I'll be writing soon, hopefully. With love as always,
