A/N: Why am I already writing another chapter right now? Ah well. 8 reads so far. I published it today, so I think that that's good. No comments or votes though. Meh, my writing's not good. I understand.

Annabeth looked up slightly at Percy, who looked to be in deep thought. He looked down abruptly and met her gaze. "Why is your dad being so...nice in the tape? I thought he-" "Just press play again and watch the tape." "But-" "No buts." "Fine, however-" "Just press play, or I will call your mother and inform her of your current behaviour. "...Fine." Percy grumbled.

Annabeth and Magnus were walking in the train corridor. Annabeth was clearly the one holding the camera, as you couldn't see her. A middle aged man with thick rimmed glasses and a dark, greying mustache looked down on them.

"He's ugly." Percy remarked.

"You are the young Chases, correct?" He asked them. He was clearly a member of staff on the train, and the one who was supposed to keep an eye on the pair. Annabeth nodded. "Will you show us to our seats? We've been walking for an awful long time and I think Magnus is going to collapse." She said. "I have asthma. It's not my fault." Magnus protested weakly as he spun around to face the camera. His face was going very red. "I never-" Annabeth began, but was cut off by the train staff member. "No need to argue. Let's find your carriage, eh?" "I already suggested that." Annabeth huffed.

"Calm down." Percy said with a whistle, attempting to raise an eyebrow. "Stop trying to raise your eyebrows, Seaweed Brain. You can't do it. And, besides, I was 6! Of course I'd have more of a temper." Annabeth replied impatiently. "I think I was a very sweet 6 year old." Percy countered. "And I think that your mother would disagree with that."

Once they were seated, the man retreated a little bit, but kept a steady eye on them. The train lurched as it began to move. Annabeth set the camera on the table so that it would show both her and her cousin. Magnus looked awful. He was searching through his bag, going purple, and had his grey eyes widened in panic. He pulled out his inhaler and quickly used it to regain his breath. "You okay?" Annabeth asked, looking genuinely concerned. "I am. Now." Magnus assured her, still clinging to the inhaler. "Positive?" "Positive." "I'll take you for lots of walks when we're there, since that helps you." "Thanks."

"Is that your maternal side showing?" Percy teased, but was secretly thinking about how great a mother Annabeth would be. "Your teasing is pointless, since it actually was. Your paternal side shows when you defend Tyson." Annabeth pointed out. With some difficulty, Percy remained silent, because there wasn't anything he could say in response.

"Would you two like anything to eat?" The man questioned, and the camera was instantly spun to face him. Annaebth pursed her lips, deep in thought.

"Tough life decisions with Annabeth." Percy coughed. Annabeth glared at him. "I was thinking about a younger cousin too, and planning out nutrition to cover the entire journey. If you used common sense, you'd know that." "It doesn't take common sense to play Mario Kart so it doesn't take common sense to live." "Your argument is irrelevant because you are terrible at Mario Kart." "Compared to you!" "And Piper...and Leo...and Frank...and Nico...and Thalia (by far)....and Reyna....and even Hazel. Everybody except Jason." "Jason doesn't win anything."

"Magnus needs a water-" "-I never said that!" "And I'll have one too. We should have a couple of sandwiches-" "-EW!" "And maybe two pieces of fruit-" "-No bananas!" "No bananas." The man nodded and hurried along the train to get some food for the pair of cousins.

Whist they were eating, Annabeth scowled. Magnus looked at her nervously. "What?" He asked in a small voice. "This will be the best food we have for a week." "Nana and Grandpa will feed us, Na-Ba." (A/N: I love Magnus using that nickname for Annabeth.) "But your mummy once said they can't cook." Annabeth complained. Magnus hesitated, unsure of himself, and then shrugged. "It's all daddy's fault. I hate him. He wants to get rid of us, I bet. That's the only reason I'm going: to get away from him." Annabeth continued. "I don't get it. Uncle Freddie's really nice." "In front of you and Auntie Nat, maybe. But when we're at home he's horrible."

"Ohhh! It makes sense now!" Percy exclaimed, satisfied with the fact that his question from earlier had been answered. Even if it was by a 6 year old Annabeth.

The cousins didn't speak for a while after this, and just filmed the setting through the window, showing the camera blurry glimpses of overgrown hedges and dying trees at some points, and cracked grey pavement and wires at others. Of course, all of these shots were incredibly fast and fuzzy, so there wasn't really a point to them.

"Why are you so obsessed with the landscape? It's so boring! It's literally making my head and eyes ache!" Percy complained. "Don't be dramatic. We had nothing else to do and Magnus probably felt really awkward." "When will I finally meet this cousin?" "He's dead." "But-" "He might visit at some point from Valhalla." "I still don't get that." "You wouldn't.

Magnus looked relieved when the train finally stopped. He gulped lots of fresh air. The wind flew his overgrown hair around. Annabeth took his hand in order to keep them close together and safe, and he snatched the camera from her. The shot was getting closer and closer to Annabeth's face. " I can see you zooming in, you butt." "You'll live, Na-Ba."

"There is nothing mature in calling people butts, Wise Girl." Percy declared. "You were literally wittering on eternally about Mario Kart earlier on." Annabeth countered, looking exasperated.

Annabeth dragged Magnus over to a couple standing by a car, holding a sign reading 'The Chases.' They were quite old. The woman's hair was thin and a pale silvery colour, and the veins stood up on her hands. Magnus moved the shot to the man. He was almost bald, but the hair that remained was the dark colour of iron. He had a large stomach. The cousins greeted their grandparents awkwardly, but their Nana and Grandpa seemed far too happy. They were grinning widely, giving the old woman dimples as well as wrinkles. They drove to their house, the camera jiggling between Magnus' knees.

"They don't really look like you." Percy noted to Annabeth. She looked down, remembering.

A/N: Okay, this one was really bad but it's more of a filler, I guess. Until next time,
