The hearty laughter was ringing through the halls of the modern mansion. The family got closer to the chunky female who felt at peace after calming down. Mrs Kim grew fond of the chunky girl, she was polite, kind, and cute too.

It was indeed a shock for them to see that the one who Taehyung always blabbed about is a non-Korean, but they understood why Taehyung grew fond of the girl, she was so friendly and mingled with everyone soon. The girl adapted to them in such a short time.

"Ahh look at the time, it's late and you must be hungry let's have some food" Mrs Kim ushers everyone who nods at her words, "wait a minute, I completely forgot! These are for you" Y/N takes out the gift bags she got along and passes them to the three people, then hands the last bag to Jin asking him to pass on the gift to the brother who was absent there.

"You didn't have to get this dear" Mrs Kim says with a gentle smile before she checks her gift followed by the other two and a curious Taehyung who peeked to see what his best friend got for his family. "Omo! This is so pretty" Mrs Kim squeals holding a pretty scarf. "Taehyung told me that you like to collect scarves, I hope you like it" Y/N utters shyly.

"This is so lovely, Thank you so much dear" the older lady pulls the chunky woman into a hug, to which she hugs the lady back. "And How do I look with this cardigan?" Mr Kim asks to show off the new cardigan which he took out from the gift bag, "It suits you appa, you look relaxed" Taehyung comments smiling widely.

"Ahh mine's better than yours, look at this Louis Vuitton Coat, I complete the beauty this coat is missing don't I?" The man asks praising himself and making everyone chuckle at him. "I'm the only one who didn't get a present" Taehyung pouts making his family members laugh at his antics, "Aren't I enough TaeTae?" Y/N asks making the male nod and side hug her and they all smile at the duo.

The other two males also thank Y/N before Mrs Kim leads them to the dining room and they all get seated. With Mr Kim in the head seat, Mrs Kim on his left side and SeokJin on his left, Taehyung takes his seat beside his mother and Y/N takes her seat beside her bestie. Mr Kim was about to call the maids when a loud cheerful voice disrupts them.

Namjoon was comfortable in the backseat with JiHyun beside him. She rubbed her bare shoulders which indeed was noticed by the male beside her who couldn't keep his eyes off her. He takes off his blazer and wraps it around her bare shoulders to which she smiles at him and pulls the blazer close to her, inhaling his seductive scent.

"Mmm... Oppa your perfume smells so good" she comments making him blush and look away, he was about to say something but his phone ring catches him off guard. He was about to hang the call but noticing the ID he picked up almost immediately.

JiHyun looks away giving him privacy but still leans her ear to him. "I'll be there!" he says before hanging the call and putting it back. "JiHyun-ah!" he starts gaining her attention, "Nea Oppa!" She exclaims with shiny eyes, He admires her face for a moment before clearing his throat and looking away. "I have something important to do at the office, So I'll drop you off at my parents' place, and can you tell them that I'm busy?" he says.

"But oppa, it won't be good without you, it's a family dinner after all!" she says with a frown making him smile, " I know but work comes first!" he says patting her head to which she blushes and looks away. "Ok, but don't overwork yourself" she utters and he nods.

Minutes pass by as JiHyun leans on Namjoon's shoulder and proceeds to close her eyes making the man smile and adjust her to be more comfortable. The journey was peaceful until they reached the destination, he didn't want to wake her up but he had to. He slightly pats her cheeks when she squints her eyes and wakes up yawning.

"Did we reach already?" She asks yawning and stretching, her cleavage making a show while Namjoon looks away being a gentleman, "Yeah, you should go inside and tell them that I'll be back late" he says and she smiles at him, "Sure oppa, Take care" she says before placing a chaste kiss on his cheek and proceeds to get down and waves bye before skipping her way inside the mansion.

She was excited and was about to ring the bell when the main door opened itself making her flinch back but seeing a maid carrying out the trash she sneers at the lady, "Watch where you're going" the younger scolds making the lady bow while apologizing. JiHyun shakes her head and strides ahead with an arrogant expression.

She was about to walk ahead into the living room but halts when she hears laughter. She peeks from the side hiding behind the wall and looks around to notice, Mr and Mrs Kim along with Taehyung and SeokJin. Mrs Kim was seated beside a chunky female whom she concluded as Taehyung's friend. "That's Tae's friend huh! Not a competition I see" she smiles to herself.

She decides to stand there for some more time and watches the interaction between them, "Mrs Kim sure seems like she loves that fatty, she was never that gentle and loving with me" JiHyun mumbles to herself seeing how they all reacted when Y/N passes the gifts to them. She clenches her fists seeing Taehyung hug her. "And that's enough, I'll make sure to give you what you deserve!" she says to herself watching them move to the dining room.

She waits for a moment before calming her anger and smiling widely. She takes off the blazer which she was wearing and throws it somewhere in the hallway, "Auntie, Uncle where are you?" She yells loudly while looking around for a moment when a maid walks out of the kitchen and leads her to the dining room.

<Y/N's POV>

Mr Kim was about to call the maids when a loud cheerful voice yelled from the living room. He nods at the maid who bows to him and walks towards the living room from where the sound came from. "Auntie, Uncle, I missed you so much" a slender woman rushed to Mr & Mrs Kim before hugging them who awkwardly returned the hug.

"SeokJin oppa, Taehyungie, Hey!" She greets them to which Taehyung smiles wide and hugs her making me frown. That's when I started to notice her, she was wearing a spaghetti tube top with a short skirt which reached till her mid-thighs, her hair was parted open, her silver highlighted hair was short which reached her shoulders.

Her smile was dazzling and her long legs were pretty too. Her curves were everything a man would desire. I couldn't help but compare myself to her, 'would Taehyung notice me if we are in the same room?' that crossed my mind crashing all of the confidence I've built since I got here.

I was lost in my thoughts until I heard a loud gasp, that snapped me out of my thoughts and when I saw what happened my eyes went wide seeing some soup was spilled on Mr Kim and the lady was wiping it off while apologizing, it took me a minute but when I noticed something else my heart shattered. The cardigan Mr Kim was wearing got completely stained by the soup and the cloth used to wipe the stains was the scarf I gave to Mrs Kim.

I know it's not something to get emotional over, it might've happened accidentally but still, it hurt me. I tried not to show my frown when I heard Mrs Kim speaking. "JiHyun that's my scarf!" The lady gasps realizing what happened, "What? I'm so sorry auntie, I thought this was a rag" she defends herself and that comment stabbed me. I know I'm not that rich but I did get a Hermes scarf for Mrs Kim, that wasn't a rag.

"Look where you're going JiHyun, you just ruined appa's cardigan" SeokJin comments helping the man to take off the cardigan which thankfully saved him from getting burnt. "I'm sorry oppa!" She bows apologizing and awkward silence is followed after that.

<Author's POV>

Taehyung was shocked, to say the least, he didn't know what to say, he was confused about both females, should he comfort his best friend or the girl with whom he was in a secret relationship. The silence breaks when JiHyun points out the chunky female with a confused expression.

"Who is this?" She asks innocently observing the female as if she's judging every single inch of the latter. "She's my best friend Y/N" Taehyung speaks up making JiHyun nod her head. "Hello Y/N, I'm Nam JiHyun, a very close member of this family" she introduces herself extending her hand, Y/N hesitantly raises her hand and shakes the hand offered to her.

"I'm Y/N L/N, Taehyung's best friend" Y/N introduces herself again standing from her seat and bowing to the female who laughs it off. "Don't be formal, if you're Tae's bestie then you are mine as well!" she says smiling widely. They both smile at each other. "Um Y/N, would you mind moving to another seat, that seat is mine" JiHyun points out making Y/N frown.

"JiHyun, this is her first time here, why don't you adjust and sit beside Y/N?" Mrs Kim asks but the girl pouts, "but I've been sitting there forever, it's my seat" she mumbles but loud enough for everyone to hear. "It's fine, I'll move!" Y/N says and stands from the seat, Taehyung was about to argue but JiHyun was quick to take the seat and beam a smile saying Thankyou.

"Y/N come here, sit beside me" Jin offers with a gentle smile making the latter smile as well, "But that's Namjoon oppa's seat, and he doesn't like when someone else takes his seat" JiHyun comments making the others shake their head, "Well JiHyun Namjoon isn't here, so he won't know unless you go and tell him like you always do" SeokJin attacks making the girl dumbfounded and shut her mouth.

Y/N finally takes her seat and the maids serve the dinner and they all proceed to have some. "Tae, you're graduated now, right? So are you gonna start your own business or are you gonna work with Oppa?" JiHyun asks breaking the peaceful silence. "I'm not sure yet, I was thinking of something else" Taehyung responds with a smile.

"I bet you wanna go for photography" Y/N utters with a knowing glint wiggling her brows making the man blush and look away, "Oh Yes, I remember you told me that you wanna choose another career path, and since you've done a great job with academics, I allow you do whatever you want" Mr Kim encourages the man.

"But what about the company?" JiHyun asks playing with the soup in front of her, her voice changing the tone which went unnoticed by the others. "Namjoon is and will take care of it, no one can beat him with business and Tae has always been into arts so he will do what he wants to do" SeokJin claps back not even bothering to look at the girl making his family unfazed as if they were used to the comebacks.

"Of course!" The embarrassed female says before continuing to eat. "What about you Y/N? What are you planning to do next?" She changes the topic and pulls the chunky woman to the center of attention, "Well I was gonna send my resumes to a few companies, I'm into finance and management" she responds.

"Of course, She is one of the toppers at the University, just a few marks difference and I could've been a rank higher than her" Taehyung points out with a silly mad face, "Aygo, Y/N isn't just pretty but also smart I see, Beauty with brains" SeokJin complements making the lady blush and the others to join in complementing her. They all were smiling except for the lone woman who was burning with anger.

Further, they continued with some chats and soon they finished their dinner and it was time for Y/N to leave.

"Aygo! It's already late, and I couldn't tell how the time passed with you beside dear" Mrs Kim caresses Y/N's head in a motherly way making her smile, "I didn't notice the time either" she responds. "Taehyung, drop the pretty lady at her home safely" Mr Kim commands making the boy come forward. "You don't have to remind me of that appa, I was planning to drop her anyway!" he says putting his hand around the chunky woman.

"But Tae won't you drop me?" JiHyun butts in making Taehyung frown, "Didn't you get your car? I thought you came by yourself" he says making her shake her head as no. "Namjoon was with you, wasn't he? Then how come you came alone? And where is he anyway?" Jin asks making her gulp and sweat in nervousness.

"Well I was supposed to meet him but he stood me up saying he has work and would go home late so I got an uber hoping Tae would drop me back home, but I guess I'll take another Uber!" she says making a pitiful face. "I could drop you both but it'll be long since you both stay in opposite directions!" Taehyung says licking her lips. "It's ok Tae, take your friend, it's not like I stay far from here, it's just I have a shoot in the early morning so I wanna go home soon and I would be a lot safer if you took me home" she utters before taking out her phone.

"Tae, I'll take an uber, Ms Nam seems to have an important schedule tomorrow so you should go with her!" Y/N says with a smile, Taehyung was ready to argue but Jin beats him to it, "How about this, I'll take Y/N back while Taehyung takes JiHyun" Jin says raising his brows, "Perfect, I'll be at calm knowing you both will go home safely" Mrs Kim says, "No, I don't wanna be a bother, this is not the first for me to travel alone, I can manage" Y/N tries to get out of the situation but Kims were stubborn.

"That was before you met us and now is now, so pretty lady whether you like it or not you're stuck with me!" Jin says with a teasing smile making the girl blush while Taehyung looks pissed off. "Fine!" He exclaims before grabbing his keys and storming out of the place with JiHyun tailing him right behind.

Jin shakes his head at his dongsaeng and grabs his car keys before turning to the lady, "After you" he says with a posture like a gentleman. She smiles at the man and walks ahead after bidding her byes to the Kim couple.

Jin leads her to the garage and they both climb inside and then proceed to fasten their seatbelts before Jim zooms away. There was a comfortable silence until Jin decided to break it, "Do you happen to have any boyfriend?" He asks straightforwardly making the girl snap her head to look at him, "I'm sorry, what?" She asks again to make sure she didn't hear anything wrong.

"Do you have a boyfriend?" He asks again while still concentrating on his driving, "No, I don't" she mumbles and looks away, "who would want to date a girl like me?" She mumbles which went unheard by him, "you said something?" He asks, "No!" she responds keeping it short. "Please don't take me to be a creep, it's just you look great together with my dongsaeng, I can see how you both treat each other and I'm shocked that you both aren't a couple!" he says his thoughts which he genuinely thought of.

"No, we are just friends, Taehyung is the guy whom I can turn to whenever I'm at my low, and I don't wanna change that!" she says making him think, "So you have feelings for him?" He asks, to which she freezes, "I didn't say that, I mean a relationship between us can change a lot of things which I'm happy with now" she tries to cover up but he didn't let go of his suspicion.

For the rest of the ride, they both chat like some old friends, sharing their passion, habits, hobbies, etc. Jin safely drops the lady in front of her apartment and waits until she walks inside before driving away.
