i need a fucking drink

you're not sure if you should like this ridiculous game of jealousy with chaeyoung or not.
sure, you like it because making your faux-crush, jennie, jealous means having your real-crush, chaeyoung, clinging onto you a little too much in public, where everyone could see, sometimes even when jennie isn't around.
you didn't question it, though.
however, you also didn't like it somehow because it's only making your chaeyoung situation worse and worse everyday, as having the younger girl clinging onto you a little more than necessary or too excessively for just a platonic gesture gives you the hardest time to get over your ridiculous crush on her.
"that's what i've been tryna tell you!" lisa's loud voice suddenly pulled you out of your thoughts, causing you to turn and look at her questioningly. "you should've listened to my advice, you stubborn little shit. if you did, then you won't be having that chaeyoung problem worsen anymore and you'd even be dating that jennie chick for real now, instead."
now you find yourself starting to get used to lisa being right these past few days.
"do you really think i should just ask her out?" you returned, a frown gracing on your lips as you continued to do leg stretches by yourself opposite your ash-haired teammate.
lisa scoffed in return, rolling her eyes slightly at you. "yeah, jackass. are you seriously just considering this now? i can't believe you."
you stopped doing leg stretches when you've finally counted to fifty inside your head. standing up straight to stretch your back a little, you sighed.
it seems like your problems just gets worse and worse everyday no matter how much you try to deal with it as logically as you can. is it a sign that you should really just listen to your idiot of a teammate's advice instead of trying to handle things your own ways?
but asking jennie out; that'd be really unfair.
not just to her, since you don't even really have the eyes for her; but to you as well, since you're certain of who you really have an eye for in the first place.
also, jennie has been nothing but the greatest companion to you these past few days, always finding time and exerting extra effort to genuinely hang out with you.
and what on earth are you doing?
you just keep on using her as a distraction from actually dealing with your chaeyoung situation.
you're a horrible person.
and now chaeyoung's also willing to help you with your so-called jennie troubles, not having any idea that it was just a stupid lie that you straight-up, no shame, threw at her face.
you're a horrible, horrible person.
"i need a fucking drink." you find yourself voicing out loud, mainly as an answer to all the thoughts now starting to cloud inside your head.
"no shit? about time you realized that." you heard lisa chuckle, finishing her own set of stretches as well before looking back at you with a knowing grin. "so, should i call jeong? we could go to that club straight-up tonight if you want."
you raised an eyebrow at her. "huh. no call tzuyu first rule tonight?"
the mention of her girlfriend's name caused lisa's shoulders to visibly slump as she let out a sigh. "yeah, right. that."
her reply caused you to furrow your eyebrows curiously. "what's up with you two now?"
you sat down on the bench, so did lisa next to you while lightly shaking her head.
"nah. just," she trailed off, looking a lot more frustrated as seconds pass. "lately i've been getting this feeling of, you know, exhaustion." lisa gestured with her hands as she continued to explain. "suffocation."
the ash-haired thai looked at you expectantly, but you only continued to stare at her like she just grew a second head.
lisa rolled her eyes at your stupidity. "sick, dum-dum. i'm getting sick of... this." she gestured with her hands again in front of her, this time a little more erratically. "whatever the hell is this obsession tzuyu has over controlling the life out of me."
you watched as she bury her face on her palms in frustration, which urged you to get a little worried for your ash-haired friend,
because lisa is never frustrated.
lisa is never stressed-out.
lisa is the definition of carefree and is the chillest person to exist in all of the world.
you, then, realized that you need to take her seriously this time. patting her head a little, you mumbled, "it's okay, lali. we can talk about it if you like."
lisa shook her head.
"it just keeps getting toxic as it lasts, chu." letting out another sigh, she looked up to lean the back of her head against the wall, closing her eyes as she rubbed her temples to relieve the pounding inside her head. "i wanna call it off, but i don't wanna hurt her."
you let out a sigh as well, not really knowing what to tell your ash-haired friend.
of course, you'd tell her to free herself from tzuyu's grip if it really is getting out of control already. but tzuyu is your friend, too. and just like lisa, you don't wanna see her getting hurt when she gets dumped, either.
so being the dummy that you are, you instead just decided to crack a joke than say something that's actually helpful to the situation.
"hey, it's cool. if you end up breaking up with tzuyu and in need of a new chick, i have two."
you know it's a terrible joke, as you're literally just making fun of your own suffering like the idiot that you are. but in your defense, you're jisoo turtle-rabbit kim. funny is all you have.
it's worth the shot, though, since you heard lisa chuckle at your lame attempt of cracking a joke while shaking her head at you in disbelief.
"alright. but if i chose chaeyoung would you-"
"no. you get jennie."
lisa sent you a playful grin. "cool."
